There are tons of wineries in Ohio, big, small, and everything in-between, and so you never know what you are going to get. We had the BEST experience at Hocking Hills Winery. It is right off of Rt. 33 and very easy to find, the staff was super helpful and very friendly, and, best of all, the wines were excellent. We did a full tasting of the eight wines offered, going from red to white. We started sweet to dry with the reds and finished the whites going sweet to dry. Whereas many Ohio wines are super sweet from start to finish, the levels of sweet and dry ran the spectrum, and, being a dry fan, I found my favorites to be the Pinot Noir, the Malbec, the Pinot Grigio, and the Vidal Blanc. I even liked most of the sweets, though, especially the Moscato and the Riesling. They let us pace ourselves, offering inexpensive bottled water (they have other beverages too), and we finished with delicious locally-made truffles. There is a patio next to a shady wooded area that looks fun, though it was in the 90s the day we were there, and so we decided to stay in. They seem to have many events going on, including live music and art events, so they appear to be a very energetic and diverse business, and I look forward to returning!

My Husband and I were camping at the Koa campsite.And went down to Hocking Hills Winery the young lady that helped us was very kind we loved the first 2 wines we sampled they were amazing hubby liked the white Riesling and I loved the Sweet Chardonnay.Bought a bottle of each.And the Wine Slushy was so good she told me to mix the 2 flavors it was so tasty.Its so worth the trip back down to stock up for the Holidays.Going to check if you can order by mail.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the winery was. We just happened upon it on our way back home from Florida. The staff was very pleasant especially Kris who was very knowledgeable about the wines and the surrounding area. She even spent time talking to us at the end of her shift. We enjoyed half price appetizers on Monday. It was a very nice way to end our vacation.

Really nice patio area where you can sit and enjoy wines and the small plates they offer. Inside is nice as well. Wines range from dry to sweet. No fruit wines. Tasting was fun and staff was friendly. Try the wine slushies on a warm day and sit outside - you wont regret it! Were already planning to stop back in whenever were back in Hocking Hills!

Really enjoy this addition to the Hocking Hills community. Diverse, happy crowd who can bring their own food or games to play at their table or on the lawn. Very relaxed ambiance is created by the customers, and inside the bar is woodsy and also very comfortable. Enjoy weekend evening entertainment.

Very unique wines! I liked everything I tried. The wine tasting is an amazing deal ($6 for 6 wines and 2 slushies). Staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Would be 5 stars if there was seating at the bar and if the snacks were a bit fancier.

This is a gem in the Hocking Hills! Wonderful people, service, knowledgeable staff and a laid back ambience. Really good wine, snack trays and enjoyable music on the larder patio! Give it a try...I bet youll like it!

We had a great time at the winery. The staff was friendly and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. We definitely recommend the wine slushies...in fact we are already planning another visit.

Its an okay place, but not as nice as some of the other winerys in the Athens area. Wine is descent but again not as good as some other local places just a little further south.

My husband and I where treated very poorly by the staff here. We where pushed aside, ignored, and practically pushed from the bar to a table. I wouldnt recommend it.

Perfect atmosphere and a great selection of wine. I had the zinfully sweet red wine and I highly recommend it. It wasnt too dry or too sweet.
