If I could give this place 0 stars I probably would. The price was great at $2 for admission, butt that is where the value stops. Concession prices are outrageous, as to be expected with a theater, but if you buy 2 tickets, a large popcorn, and 2 medium drinks it is $12 total, but theyre not too open about telling you that. The theater is disgusting. I waited in line for about 15 minutes to get popcorn, and ended up not getting anything after seeing how dirty the serving area was. If you get a chance, look to the right of concession into the "kitchen" area and you will see how disgusting this place really is. I went there on 03FEB12 so this review was last night. The actual theater was worse (naturally because its dark and the ushers surely dont care enough to clean up at the budget theater). The seats are uncomfortable, the floors are sticky, and the projector was changed several times throughout the movie (no idea why) which was really distracting. Unless youre broke, and want to see a movie from 4 months ago, do not go here.

Customer service was EXTREMELY poor. It was very unwelcoming and the staff ALL looked like they didnt care to be here. The concessions people were off putting and almost turned me off from even seeing the movie. They rushed us with our order, the girl had a snippy tone, and gave it to us like "here you go...now go!" The guy who took our tickets as we walked to the actual theater had a suit on. I assumed he was a manager. He did not acknowledge us or speak to us as he held a conversation with someone else. The lack of customer service is just ridiculous. The icing on the cake was that it smelled and the floors were sticky. Ew! Ive worked in a theatre so I know how it SHOULD be done. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was due to the price. At first I thought it was a sweet deal...now I see why its so cheap. Do better staff...get some proper training on customer service and providing them with a great experience!

Have been going to this theater since I moved here in 2013. Yes, it is not the cleanest but you cannot beat the price so it is nice to be able to see the movies on the big screen especially during the week when crowds are minimal. The Tuesday deal is AWESOME, spend 5 bucks plus tax and get movie, popcorn and a drink! Add some Milk Duds for another 2 bucks!! Very dedicated agreeable staff so treat them nice as they are not getting paid enough to be disrespected. Also appreciate the fact that they think of the kiddies with lots of G and PG selections as my friend with 2 grade school kids could not afford to do movies at Pier Park even with their Tuesday special. Good Deal so go see a movie at the Mall!!

I love going to the movies here at Carmike 4. The movies are only 2 bucks. I usually get popcorn, a drink and a movie ticket for just $8.50. I go every week and sometimes twice in a week. Many times the movie was released just 45 days previously before showing here. The theatre is always clean and the staff is always friendly. And the popcorn is warm and delicious. Foot, for 2 bucks or an 8.50 combo, you just cant beat this for entertainment, relaxation in comfortable seating. Joyce Rogers

Having gone to this theater when it opened it is a shame to see it in its current condition. Seeing Star Wars, Raiders Of The Lost Ark and so many other blockbuster films here as a child it pains me to realize the possibility of stepping in the very same goo I stepped in 1978. This place was filthy in a recent visit. Sure cheap tickets and high concession prices. I get that. Gotta make the $$$ somewhere. But to neglect the sanitation should be a danger to public health.

It is one of the 80s retread multi-plexes, now a buck and change or two... That said it is USUALLY CLEAN, usually the kids are polite, the goers not too rowdy and the movie almost new. In fact due to screen count contracts I Am sure, SOMETIMES the same movie will be showing at this economy theater as on one of the bigger boxes on the beach or downtown. Dont depend on that though. Recommended, with the understanding that it is what it is.

This Theater is dirty, sticky and smells of 30 years of rancid hydrogenated oil, mold, and feet. The manager(Adam) is arrogant and apparently does little in the way of keeping this landmark theater running in a fashion deserving of its history. Unless real ownership from people who want to see Panama City prosper come to the mall and theater I see nothing but an entire dead city block for Panama City on the horizon.

This was a nice break from the ridiculous prices most theaters charge. They offer really nice deals and have some awesome specials. The theater was fine, the bathrooms not great but you are going there to see a movie so who cares. Besides, the mall has bathrooms too. Definitely will go there before another higher priced theater that really isnt that much better.

Considering we are a family of 8 and a full price theater is not always possible, this is a great idea and I am so glad we have it here. We can still take the kids to the movies and they get to enjoy the big screen but we are spending a fortune as it would cost us well over $100 to go to a typical...and way over priced theather. To rewrite the blurb: Cineplex with digital screens (no 3D) showing second-run films at a discount. There is a musty smell, but you get what you pay for. Great to see that awesome action movie on the big screen one last time on the cheap, or movies you think might be good, but not $7-$15 good, on the big screen.

In todays economy it is a place I can afford especially on Tuesdays when the popcorn and drinks cost less. Its not the nicest or cleanest theatre but they dont charge enough to be the best. Thanks to them I can go out to a movie and not feel like I broke the bank.

Very small theater place but they are cheap so your gonna get what you get there seats are kinda gross and the floors inside are sticky wouldnt wanna anyone here for a movie id rather pay more then sit in a smelly and sticky place like this but its cheap

great staff, friendly and polite. excellent service. Love that you have spaces for wheel chairs - how about larger seats for us that have actually grown "wider" instead of "up" as we have aged ?? Movie night is again a part of my scheduled activities.

Since recently bought out by AMC, the theater has became insanely overpriced. The concessions are HIGH and they stopped the couple combos. I could understand price increases IF improvements were being made. The theater is still in the same condition.

want to catch a movie you didnt want to broke over? this is where you would go. all carmikes are dirty and no money is ever really put into them, but at the same time watching an older released movie for $1.50 you cant beat that

Ugh these seats are nasty look like everyone of them have dog hair on it and they are so dirty! It stinks in here! Please get somebody to shampoo these seats or close this place down. Id rather go elsewhere and pay more money.
