Been here a few times now, tonight was the last. For childrens movies in the day time the movie theater is fine but tonight we ventured in on a Friday to see "It". To start the night I am asked for ID to see if I am 18... where some might find this flattering Im pretty sure my gray beard could tell the girl behind the counter Im old enough to be her father. But ok, its policy, I mean, I havent been had my ID checked for alcohol in years but if thats how you would like to run your theater then sure... go ahead. So imagine my surprise in the rated R movie when the entire front half of the room is filled with teens who arent old enough to drive. Now further imagine that all of these examples of our countries future decide that talking, texting, recording the movie and other such activities are encouraged. After about 10 minutes of nonstop banter and flash photography from these young people who obviously also had their IDs checked, my wife and I got up and informed management of the issue. Security came in, made their presence known - which helped for a few minutes - but then it continued. At one point my wife asked the girl next to her to put her phone away and the fine example of a future United States citizen told her she didnt have the right to talk to her like that, and then continued with a rant full of words that would ban this review. We had, had enough and decided to leave. When we informed management again they let us know that security couldnt be everywhere... while my wife spoke with the manager I kindly removed myself and waited outside... At which point I witness a fight break out among some kids in the parking lot right in front of the theater. Security is standing on the side walk - watching and laughing - while everyone in their groups runs up and starts to record the violence. Now I wasnt going to write the review before we left, I mean come on Vallejo, these are your children, kind of your fault in the first place - however, when I saw the security guard watch and laugh a fight on the premises after being told they cant be everywhere it put me over the top. Ill travel to watch my movies - Vallejo enjoy your children.

Going to this place on a Friday night is not exactly pleasant for most people. Its because, sometimes certain individuals, who think they can actually communicate with the actors on the big screen with their smart phones, tend to show up on Friday nights, and will have a full blown one-way conversation, devoid of any thought they we can actualy hear them. Or -- its a place where individuals who sit in the back row tend to interrupt your experience of watching a film, by yelling obscenities to a colleague who just walked into the theatre, at some point during the middle of the film. Which begs the question -- how the H*LL did they even notice them? Arent they supposed to be watching a movie? The lights are off??? So, I go only on Sundays-- because I kinda like the place.

Cinemark Vallejo 14 is a typical, mall-multiplex suburban movie theater. Theres not much more to it than that. If you go there expecting Art house fancy (you can always go to SF, or the East Bay), you wont get it. The refreshment offerings are also Mall multi-plex typically overpriced standards, and I would NOT recommend the Nachos, because I didnt think the sour cream or the nacho cheese sauce was particularly fresh, and I got a horrible stomache afterwards. This being my local theater, I will continue to patronize it, but it is what it is, and its nothing special. At least, all current releases are shown, and because theres 14 screens, you are guaranteed to find something to watch.

Would give a 5 ☆ except, bathroom needs to the checked, need toilet paper, seat covers (heck yeah I use them) Need to monitor each theater due to sound volume (still young enough to hear) with less then capacity allows. Love aroma of popcorn when door opens. Staff this time extremely friendly and smiling.

They seem not to care that some customers like to talk during screenings. Probably a 50-50 chance that you will have people ruining your immersion. Popcorn is alright, but over priced and the rest of the concessions are average. Overall this place is average.

Love the movies, this one especially they have kettle corn. Just makes watching a movie 10x better. There clean, show the lastest movies, have discounts online, and have special club for kids during the summer.

Pro: Abundant free parking, concession stand has variety of snacks, several theaters (standard & 3D), large restrooms, small-medium sized videogame arcade. Con: movies dont start until after 10am.
