Big area and live music. Sign me up! This place is delightfully tacky. But in a good way. Makes you feel like you arent in San Diego and in a bar in Texas. With that said this place is designed like a ranch. They also have tons of seating upstairs and a patio area. Good drinks and they are strong as well. Didnt get a chance to try their food but their menu consisted of food from your typical sports bar. But the best part of this place is their music. Their artists they have perform are just talented. Usually live musicians either rock it or are just plain embarrassing. This place delivers with their selection of artists and songs. Youll be rocking out with the as well.

Came here out of the blue, but always drive by and wanted to check it out. FRIED PICKLES ♡ So good! The menu is limited, but they do what they do, and they do it right. The staff was super friendly and inviting, and the place itself is just very high energy and exciting. Was all done up for Halloween, tvs playing sports all around, and a variety of drinking games available. Were eating dinner now, but will be back later for more drinks and fun forsure! Oh, and happy hour, 1/2 off whole menu from 2-7, drinks incl, youre welcome ;)

Im sure this place is great at night but we went at 1PM and the service was slow and they took a long time to even serve us to begin with. The food was good and all but we got bottomless mimosas and we only got served one because the waiter didnt check on us. I had to go to the bar and get another one and he bartender just pointed at our waitress as if I didnt know who was serving (or not serving) us. I am eager to see the night scene though it seems like it could be fun after 9. Good drink specials though.

Tin Roof is definitely a welcomed venue to the downtown San Diego scene. With a main stage featuring live music throughout the week, its one of the Gaslamps few venues where it doesnt feel like live entertainment was an after thought. The menu is somewhat limited, but what they have, well its just amazing! From the BBQ Brisket Nachos to the Creole Shrimp & Pig Tortillas, nothing disappoints. Order a drink, add some grub, kick back and enjoy live tunes for one fun night at Tin Roof San Diego!

A great place for some drinks and food and and even better place if you love live music. They have a few amazing regular bands that play on the weekends but also get the best local musicians in playing all sorts of music, country, rock, pop, top 40. Happy hour is one of the cheapest in The Gaslamp ($4.50 32oz beers anyone). The staff are really cool and there is always a great atmosphere 10/10 would recommend

Coming from the perspective of a Thursday night during the summer, this place is a must see for anyone who wants to have a more relaxed night with amazing live music that come with great drinks and a darker small venue feel ambience. But this place definitely has diversity. They also have beer pong set up for the younger crowd so the family can have something fun to do. At least the 21+ members of the family ha.

Service was lacking. Prices high for what you get - pretty common in the Gaslamp. Ordered the brisket nachos as a football special, but apparently received and was charged the regular size ones. Very little brisket and they were cold. Told the bartender about it, but he didnt care. Apparently my fault. There are better places to go to in the Gaslamp. The food here is just not good and the staff doesnt care.

Stopped here for a quick bite at 5:30 on a Thursday. There was no live music, in fact pop country videos were on the TV, yuck. Unfortunately I got food anyways. Fish tacos were ASTONISHINGLY bad, probably like what McDonalds would make if they made fish tacos. I had to double check the map to confirm that San Diego is in fact cornered between the ocean and freaking Mexico...

WE already know. Silence! WE are ALL "perfect". Thank You ALL BEINGS FOREVER MORE. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. The bouncers are supposed to look serious. Perfect bouncers look serious. Tell them thank you for being serious and tell them it is ok to show off their silly family pictures. Thank them. They wil keep the creepy leg humpers outside.

Its a bar, with live music - we came on a Saturday night. Two levels, the upstairs considerably more mellow than downstairs with the dance floor (faster service too). They had beer pong set up for some folks. Fun for a group of friends wanting too dance. Or interesting people watching. Food menu is typical bar food, and staff was friendly enough.

Comfortable atmosphere and great live music. Its a fun place to have a low key date night. The new bar is awesome but wish our chairs would not be taken away (not too big of a deal). The game area is so much fun too! Service is good, its not too much for me to go ask for help when the servers are respectful back to me.

Loved this place. The live band was awesome, the number of games (corn hole, giant Jenga, BP) made sure no one had an excuse to be bored, drinks were well made and good price. Bartenders need to be a bit more friendly, but I was only there one night...maybe I caught them on a bad day.

The food was delicious. I had the brisket and it was tender and juicy. The fried pickles were a little salty though. Even though we were here during Comic con the service was top knotch. The live music was great and watching the men play giant Jenga was a blast.

Disappointed. Not a bad place by any means, just less than it could be. Slow service, low class feel. Inexpensive but unimpressive. Food menu reminds me of summer camp. Cute names for cheap food. Followed my stop here with a visit to Searsucker. Top notch!

My time here proved to be well spent and the experience I had was not anything like the cat on a hot tin roof I thought would be in store for my jaded perception about rooms that serve beer under football and flare.

Was here for an event so its tough to judge but the venue seems great and it has a lot of promise. Grab a drink and listen to some live music in the gaslamp.

Nice place in the heart of Gaslamp Quarter. Coriander were playing. Had a great time here with an awesome band, a variety of beer and trinks and nice people.
