I am a member of the Luken Holdings Group that owns this course and 6 others in the area. My home course is Battlefield but it was flooded out yesterday. In my opion, Battlefield is in the best shape out of all of the courses in the group. Especially the greens. The fairways and tee boxes were in ok shape for early Spring and given that a down pour happened the day before. However, the greens at the Champions Club each time I have played there have been terrible. They were in desperate need of a cut. Many of the greens were balding in areas or had fungus. I also encountered several greens that had sand poured on them in certain areas like one would do in a fairway after taking a nice divot. This course could be such a gem with a small investment of time and resources.

I played this course today for the first time and loved it. A few of the greens had some damage. This is because we are 18" short or rain for a normal year. The fairways are as good as any of the courses I have played this season. The homes on this course are also very nice which makes for a beautiful layout. The staff was VERY FRIENDLY and helpful directing me to the 1st tee, the driving range and the putting green. They have a beautiful club house and pool to boot. The golf carts are new as well. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 ten being the best that with some good bit of rain this course will be a 10. I am a member of the Battlefield Golf Club that is part of the Luken group so I will be playing this course again VERY SOON!

The course is overall in avg - below avg condition. Saying that the greens were struggling. The greens were very fury and In need of a cut. 9 of the holes were almost unputtable. I played as a guest and paid $50 which I thought was steep for the condition. I played here 5 years ago and it was in much better condition. The potential for the course is there, they just need to pump some $ into it.
