The Edmonds Theatre is by no stretch an AMC or Regal theatre, with multiple screens, IMAX capabilities, or mondo concessions stands. But thats part of its charm. Its a local theatre, featuring one movie at a go and 2-3 showings a day, and minimal concessions. It offers movie-ticket punch cards, good toward future concessions, and keeps the ticket prices low. Last time I was there, I think it was still $8 a ticket - even at full-price. They keep up with the latest movies and will often host community events as well, such as Rick Steves Travel Festival (or even the Super Bowl - this year, the reader board announced "Seahawks vs. Deflatriates").

This is the greatest theater! The prices and ambiance is much better than the big corporate America big box theaters. They show current movies but show 1 movie at a time, not multiple movie offerings at a time. They have free movie showings. How many of those do you find at the big box theaters.....probably none as they are more into charging you about double of what they charge you for the movies you pay for at the Edmonds Theater. If you havent been to the Edmonds Theater, check it out. I doubt you will be disappointed. It will probably become your favorite theater like it has become for so many people.

This place is a model for a small main street local theater. Killer digital sound and state of the art projection system. prices are unusually affordable, kids and us Q-tip elders get discounts. They do not do the big movie company advertisements, only local businesses, offer free kids movies once a month, free sports casts, have local speakers, promote charities like adopt a pet, friendly locally family owned theater. Must visit this theater when the Kingston ferry line is too long!

A much needed contrast to the megaplex common these days. I have been going here for over a decade. They play one movie in a week, and if it is a choice between nearby megaplex or driving a handful extra miles to Edmonds... Edmonds Theater wins. I love the balcony seats. The staff has always been great. If you go to a showing before 5 there is a discount rate. I hope you check the theater out and become a recurring customer like myself.

Edmonds Theater was built in the 1920s and still has a very traditional, small-town America look and feel. They have one screen and show first-run movies. They have free screenings each month of family-themed and some classic or cult-classic movies. They have a punch-card loyalty program - see 10 movies, get one screening for free. Screen rentals for private events are possible. This theater is truly part of the Edmonds experience.

One of the few remaining classic movie houses, but theyve done a great job updating the sound and visual equipment and they run A list movies. Comfy seats with drink holders, good concessions and I love that the owner / manager does a welcome announcement before the movie. The only issue was that the theater was cold (it was a rainy Feb day and first show of the day so it was understandable, glad I had my down coat!)

This is my favorite movie theater of all time. They have one screen and a very old school vibe. They have a "lucky ticket" contest that theyve been doing for at least 20 years where each showing one person wins a prize--very mom and pop type of thing. They also have continued to offer low prices throughout the years. The staff is always super friendly and they have balcony seating.

Best theater in the area. Upgraded sound and picture system, make this old style theater the best of old and new. This is the way movies are meant to be experienced, not some giant megaplex at the mall. The also show subtitled movies on Sunday, and I will support them by going. Any business that supports the needs of the hearing impaired community also will get my business.

Fantastic prices, fantastic staff, quality shows and they even do other things besides movies! Its absolutely the best theater in the area. I appreciate how comfortable the staff make you feel. The theater itself is comfortable, the chairs rock just enough and the surroundings are always clean. Well worth seeing a movie here!

Family owned independent theater. They gave free popcorn to my son (under 12) and the manager tells you about upcoming movies. They dont have the fancy stadium seats, but this is way better than amc or regal because its cheaper, more intimate, and keeps downtown Edmonds vibrant. They also have free summer movies for kids!

I have gone here for a while and love the community behind the movie theater. The prices are great, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. If there is a drawback is that it shows very few movies at a time, which is totally understandable. It is a great theater for the classic feel and would recommend.

Great local theater with great ticket prices (about half those big theater prices!) and even the concession stand has great prices...$2.50 for a small, buttered popcorn instead of $6+ at those big theaters. Love this place and the Crest Theater in Shoreline. Go local! (Whenever you can...)

This is the heart of Edmonds. They have a small town vibe with a BIG heart, always including the community in the movies they show, the Seahawks games, Walking dead, and summer break movies for the children. I feel like I am part of the family when I go there.

Small independent theater with a great vibe. You will not find reclining seats, or even stadium style seating, but it is run by folks who really like movies and have a passion for making this a little theater great.

Love the Edmonds Theater. So glad the small theater has made it through the years. Glad they were able to begin screening newer movies in the last few years. Check out the balcony seating for an interesting view

Great little single screen movie theater. Theyve updated the screen and the sound system, now they just need new seats. I love going to movies here. They also have a few older movie nights that I really enjoy.

...but it would be SO wonderful if they could have a weekly (or at least monthly) vintage movie night or matinee -- you know for all those great movies that were meant to be seen on the Big Screen.

Old local theater. They play one film at a time, but its always something new. Prices at pretty reasonable. It would be nice if they were the same price as when they opened in the 20s.
