Worst course i have ever played..... The fairway is rock hard, the bunkers are like cement, and the greens are like putting on sand. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The carts are always either broken, out of battery, or die not even half way through of the FRONT nine. it take the cart staff 30- 40 minutes just to even get there, and they just say "well here is the cart u wanted"..... didnt even say sorry.... the golf pro Ross is a complete joke! he isnt good at golf at all, and when you take lessons from him, more than half of the time hes talking about his life and how he could have changed it.... very bad course.

I play a lot of golf in the area, typically at River Point, but decided to switch it up and play Greatwood. I dont normally leave reviews but I have read a lot of bad ones on Greatwood recently. The course was in great shape. The fairways, Greens, Teeboxes, everything. This could be in large part due to the rain the course has seen over the last month. Either way, a great course for the money, especially when the weather is right.

I went to practice range. Not at all well organised. First of all, I had to buy a bucket of golf balls at the Pro-shop and walk almost quarter mile crossing a road and grass to reach the practice range. Rage is not shaded and prone to weather changes and can not practice when it too sunny or raining. No lights for night practicing. No ball dispensing machine. Ill organized. No idea about the main course.

Course is in TERRIBLE shape and has been for a while. Washboard fairways to bounce your cart around all day. Crap greens you might as well not even read. Tees unlevel with hardly any grass. The staff are assholes to their customers. And theyre still gonna charge 60 bucks to play their almost deserted, embarrassingly kept course in December. Go anywhere else.

Ugh! I rarely write negative reviews, but this place was utterly miserable. Half the holes were like golfing in a mudpile and this annoying marshal kept pestering my foursome to play faster because we werent catching up with the twosome ahead of us. We felt overcharged for the course and amenities, and harassed during play. I will NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN!

Staff are generally unfriendly. Course is in terrible condition considering the price. Almost impossible to get a tee in the ground at most boxes. A lot of fairways are in sub-par condition. Greens (especially on front 9) are hard and unkempt. Very few yardage markers on the fairways. This course has gone downhill.

Whoa, there must be a whole lot of Greatwood employees ghost blogging favorable posts here. No way this golf club gets four stars. Its poorly maintained, smells bad, and swampy with large swarms of mosquitoes that bite through any repellants. Just check Yelp or other sites for their ratings to compare.

Too expensive for the course. Not well kept. Front nine had greens that are in bad shape. In half of the tee boxes, the ground was too har to get a tee in the ground. $47 at 3:30pm is not worth it. Fairways were good, scenery is nice. The rating reflects the price to play.

The golf course is about 3 or 4 stars, I have 1 because for me customer service is everything. This place has very rude people working in it. I dont care how pretty and well taken care the golf course if the people that works it does not make it pleasant.

Terrible tee box. So hard tee wouldnt go in. Greens in the front nines were terrible. Fairways so hard would break your elbows. Paid $57 for Sunday. What a waste of money. No wonder nobody was playing there. I am erasing this course off my mind.

This golf course is filthy! Tee boxes are littered with used tees and small pieces of trash. Fairways are like washboard. Hard to distinguish between greens and fairways. No signage! This place is OLD and TIRED. Needs a major overhaul.

Good practice range. To play it is pretty fast. Greens and fairways need to be kept in better conditions. A little pricey but if they did a better job on the field it would be worth it. Usually little wait times.

Fun golf course. Has good par fives and good par fours. Driving range is ok. Practice green speed does not match the greens on the course. Would play this course again. Very good twilight rate.

Good layout for my fade. What few trees they have are in challenging spots. Id have given Bayou 4 stars, but the bunkers need work. Good old Texas hardpan, but the ball sits up nice here.

It is my favorite public golf course in Houston. It is a great layout! Even the toughest holes are fair.It is a well kept golf course and a pleasure to play. Lets tee it up!!!!

This place really needs some renovations and it would challenge to be one of the top public courses in Texas as it was in the beginning.

The golf shop staff was very unfriendly. The person behind the counter acted like he didnt want to be there. Nice course nonetheless.
