Great screens and sound, as well as a very comfortable setting, with tables and some optional couches. The seats are also very comfortable. Attentive and caring staff, without attitude. Great food and drinks, including local beers and local wines. There is also the option to order food from the Zephyr grill, next door, which is delivered to your table or seat. They are currently hosting free viewing of the Golden State Warriors championship basketball games and often host viewings of similar events, where you only have to pay for drinks and food. There is parking on the street, usually available to the side or out front of the building. Kenny also distributes a weekly newsletter via email, discussing relevant movie news, for those who sign up, on the website. This feels like an artists hangout, where people respect and appreciate each other. Fresh air conditioning, clean theaters and bathrooms. Theres even a comfortable lounge with bar tables, when waiting for shows to start, which are often filled with patrons chatting. Never any disruptive incidents, loud people or ringing phones, like at the large, corporate movie houses. Since this is on the end of the main downtown street, there are restaurants and a Fosters Freeze ice cream eatery, within walking distance.

I feel so fortunate to have this place to see art-house movies way out here in Livermore. The quirk of being able to have food and drink while watching the movie makes it that much more unique and enjoyable. I feel, however, that they are wasting a golden opportunity. They show only 2 to 3 movies at a time, and these same movies remain for 3 or 4 weeks before they rotate to another movie. I guess they dont want my money! I am the kind of movie lover who would go there 3 times a week if they had that many movies for me to see. As it is, I go there 3 times a month maybe because thats all there is to see. When I go, the theater is often quite empty, sometimes only a handful of people. Im afraid it could go out of business which would really be a shame because its rare to have a place to see art-house movies. And they have such a potential to fill up the theater if there were more movies to see. Perhaps they have their reasons, i.e. the cost of getting a movie to screen is high? I dont know.

When the new 20-theater Livermore Cinemas was built downtown several years ago, my family was afraid this smaller local favorite wouldnt make it. Thankfully, they were able to take several steps to appeal to a different market and create a wonderful atmosphere for independent and classic movies. My whole family loves going to different events put on by this theater and enjoys ordering beer and wine and food from the neighboring restaurant that can be delivered into the theater.

The movies shown at Vine Cinema almost always feature white casts. Ive attended a few movies here over the years hoping this was just a fluke but sadly as I have checked in for movie listings from time to time I have seen it is not a fluke. I have stayed away for a long time but I would start coming again in a heartbeat if I see a more diverse presentation in cinema. Its not like there isnt high quality cinema available featuring diversity.

With the big theater opening downtown this place really did an excellent job of finding a new niche market to keep open! Make sure you get there a little early to snag a couch but either way the seating area is very nice. Food and beverages are always accessible and its great to have them brought out to you while you enjoy the show. They play some great Indie films and even sporting events so theres something here for everyone.

Went to a screening of La la Land on Oscars night. Staff was dressed to the nines for the occasion. Proper selection of beer and a decent pub-style menu to choose from, but had just eaten so I had drinks only. Couches and tables in the theater were a nice touch, and we enjoyed a tasty gelato on the way out after the show. Will return next time with an empty stomach to sample the food.

Really clean and staff are super friendly. Keep in mind no internet pre-selected seats available so first come, first served (be quick and early!). Food is a little pricey but its quite good if you wanna chill out and relax with a decent meal. Limited movie selection obviously but they screen pretty well received mainstream flicks and independent productions.

Wow, what a fun joint. Its a much different feel--cozier, friendlier, more intimate--than something like an AMC dine-in theater. Feels very much like an art house theater from decades ago, so its awesome to see that people who are really passionate about movies and the neighborhood theater feel are still out there making it happen!

My girlfriend and I have been here several times especially at Oscar season and think its the best way to enjoy a movie out of the house. Plush seating, large screen and good sound make it a fantastic movie going experience. Pizza, wine and movie for around 30 bucks makes this a great date night without breaking el banco!

This is such a unique movie house. My wife and I enjoy their movie selections. We sit and enjoy our glass of craft style beer and local Livermore wine. Then eat our meal while watching the flick. Its an old school venue but we enjoy the ambiance. Highly recommend it as a must do date night location.

I love this place! This is the way that a movie should be enjoyed. Food, drinks, deserts and tables in the theater for you to enjoy them. my only complaint is that they could use a bit more variety in the menu, but all in all youre in for a great movie experience at the Vine!

Went to my grand daughters 6th birthday party today at Vine Cinema in Pleasonton. What a great venue. Great facilities and plenty of room. Very.clean. I recommend it to anyone having such an event. Kids all had a great time and enjoyed the movie. Five Stars. Greg Jones

This is a wonderful place to not only watch a movie in comfy seat but also drink your favorite beer or enjoy the awesome food from Zephr Grille next door. This is a real night out versus your typical movie theater with a bag of over salted popcorn. A real gem.

What other theater in Livermore has a couch? Seriously that alone could make this place better than Livermore Cinemas, but with all seriousness this place is awesome as well. Great food, great seats, and the films they show for the holidays are must sees!

Wonderful local neighborhood theater with first run and classic movies and art films, events, plus beer, wine and great food from Zepher restaurant you can eat and enjoy in comfort while being entertained. Pre-show is by Cinespots.

The best theater in the tri-valley area. They serve food at your seat (from Zephyr Grill) and have an excellent beer and wine selection. This also a local favorite for special events such as Super Bowl and Oscar viewing parties.

My favorite movie theater. Not necessarily mainstream films so you have to pick and choose but its positively luxurious to sit on a sofa with a draft beer and food from Zephyr next door. One of our date night venues.
