Not sure what they make their bbq sauce out of but its horrible. It was stewed tomato paste with chunks of onion. Maybe their attempt at being different? Tasted like what youd make swiss steak out of. The ribs were definitely not worth $23, at all. The ribs were still cold in the center from when they pulled them out of the fridge to re heat on the grill. You can buy their beer cheaper at other local restaurants Im also really confused how thats even possible but their beer prices are ridiculous. Also, for some reason the entire place smelt like crotchy fish. I enjoy seafood and good fish but the way the dining room smelt was almost enough for us to leave. It was very off putting the entire time. Used to like going here but after tonights meal I dont know if Ill be going back.

Worst dining experience ever!! Actually non-dining experience-my husband got so disgusted-he threw his napkin on the table & we walked out We were sat a a tiny 2 person table on the edge of the row where my husband was jostled several times. My steak was raw-I ordered medium-rare-sent it back, still had not appeared again after 15 minutes (guess it was well done by then!) -my husband never got his beer to go with his meal-mainly because our waiter was too engrossed ogling some womens breasts spilling out of her shirt for a least 15 minutes (not my observation, but my husbands) & despite my husband walking over to the waiter to ask for the beer, it never showed up.Terrible service & lack of caring! Never again!

We did a brewery tour and loved learning about their brewing process and how they run their facility. They have a constant focus on being as sustainable as possible and continually working toward that goal, which adds an additional complexity to their process on top of generating a delicious glass of beer. I highly suggest any of their tours. We also enjoyed more of their beers and food at the restaurant next door, which were both very good. We sat in the outdoor area and the setting and service was on par.

My last visit was with a party of 9 relatives. The food was fantastic. The service staff had no problem with our large party and easily handled a few special requests. The beer, of course, was great. This was the first time Ive been seated on the patio at the Sierra Nevada taproom and I really enjoyed it. As long as the weather is co-operating this seating option is good enough that a special request or patio reservation might be a great option on a warm afternoon.

Mecca for beer lovers After 7 years in Scotland I developed a love of real ale. My first visit to Chico and we tasted 12 beers. The session IPA was fantastic and only 4.5%. Also the.nitro ungassed ale fantastic, very much like Guinness in Dublin. Very good pub food. I had the sausages and in-house made mustards... what else Felt quite European and a very worthwhile trip. All beers very well made, clean, bright and well hopped.

Major Reaction

Visited the restaurant with a few friends yesterday. We asked for an outside table and were seated very quickly. The scenery was pleasing and the restaurant was not too crowded or noisy. Food was delicious! Only reason for 4 stars is my sampler beer was a bit on the warm side but when I ordered a full beer it was nice and cold. The appetizer sausage plate is amazing!

went to brewery @ 4:30. a couple of clueless young people supposed to seat us. OOOps they cant find the right menu, so they just gave us what they had. We ordered....10 mins later, the annoying, server, comes back and says that we ordered off the dinner menu.....do we want to wait 20 more mins until its timew for the dinner menu? ANNOYING...UNPROFESSIONAL

A must visit destination in Chico, California, and the United States! Sierra Nevada Brewery has an incredible tour taking through the history and lifestyle they embody everyday. The restaurant is also one of the best places to eat around, and leaves you wanting more every time you leave. Recommended at the highest level!

This place is just amazing, the food and the beer (especially the beer). Do yourself a favor, just go on the tour (its totally free), and have dinner here. Yes its busy, but totally worth the wait. The food is fresh, local, and ever-changing. Youll appreciate the beer so much more after a tour too.

Not a bad spot to eat. Good food. Halibut was good (especially since Im from S.L.O. Town), though gotta admit the Narwhal wasnt very good. Im more of a Guiness man, so truthfully the Narwhal wasnt on point fellas sorry. Just my opinion. But other then that. FOOD WAS GOOD.

Even though they dont take reservations on weekends, they help accommodated for our large party. Ben, our server that night, made modified orders for allergies, and continued to check up on us the whole time we were there. Great food! And Excellent service!

For a large brewery there is limited seating at the bar area. Everyone is crammed in like sardines. It seems like their attention is more on selling food than beer. Anyway, the cherry chocolate stout was excellent, pale ale and tropical ipa were both good.

We had just moved to the area and our checker at Costco told us about The Tap Room. WOW! Yeah, I expected great beer, but the food was AMAZING! All visitors must get the brewers pretzel and the sausage plate appetizers. Worth the trip just for those!

Been coming here since I was 21, 20 years ago when I visit family in Chico. Great beer prices and great fresh specials. Keep it up and glad to hear they have dug themselves into the community and the solar power plant parking area rules!

Beautiful campus. We didnt have time to do a tour or the restaurant, but wanted to see the brewery. We were still able to wander around most of it for free just self guided. Really cool to see, especially if you like beer!

Great beer, tours, atmosphere, and pretty decent food. Sierra Nevada is a great place to visit if you havent been before. Make sure to visit the gift shop to pick up some exclusive beers before you leave.

A very nice restaurant with a good menu, and atmosphere. Because its unique to Chico its the ideal place to take out of town guests. It does get very busy at dinner time so be prepared for a wait..

The brewery has an enormous tap room. The mass produced beers are good. But they always have a much better selection of their unique and interesting beer on tap here than you can find in stores.
