I was banned. No questions asked. Nobody looked into it. All the shows i has booked were dropped, i lost money, ( I was attempting to become a promoter and book shows for a living) Then my name was slandered on the internet and they discredited me as a promoter to hundreds of people. It ultimately lead to me landing a Record Deal from a legitimate record label (Blackhouse Records) because my music is extremely heartfelt because of my old living situation as a homeless man, so i was able to get over the Trauma. Even Swoon Records made a decisions to move out of the venue because so many artists and musicians from Tacoma were banned and slandered. I was just the cherry on top that finally blew the lid off this place. Im extremely disappointed in this place and how they treated me in the process. Even more disappointed in how they treat locals who have been playing and booking here for a long time. If you have any lyrics that can me misconstrued as misogynistic dont play here. They also made up a lie on their facebook claiming i threatened 2 staff members to justify their actions. FYI i have evidence to back up everything i am saying, i did no such thing and i saved all my conversations with their staff to prove it, including the girls they claim i threatened. I have a reputation for being very sweet to women including my Fiancé so their accusations made no sense to my fans and family. Their staff members continue to slander my name across social media. And i even had to block most of them because it was starting to effect my self esteem. I was nothing but a homeless man when they met me. This may be why they thought they could get away with it. But the more im reminded im banned. And the more their trash talk comes back to me. The more i realize i need to speak up. Im making a name for my self and i will stand my ground. I was bullied by Real Art Tacoma. And it inspired me to be what i am now. If i blow up even more, im opening my own all ages venue in Tacoma. Its been a dream for a long time. Sorry for all the typos. I get extremely upset every-time im reminded i cant go support my friends who still play here. :(

A great little venue for live music performed by local musicians. The best part...parts - its all ages, owned by local musicians who wanted to give everybody, especially kids who dont have another way to do this, a safe environment to strut their stuff, see what its like to be a star on stage, find people who share their interest in music, and keep their dreams alive. It gives the community a place to watch live shows without the huge price tag, something different to do on those all-too-frequent rainy days, and to discover local talent. Its a place that Tacoma was in serious need of, and since its non-profit, a place we need to support and keep it going!!

Tacoma has been severely deficient in music venues since the closure of Hells Kitchen. Real Art Tacoma is a shared space-- operating as a print shop and art studio by day, and a venue by night. The sound quality is good, and there is plenty of space. Plenty of food and drink options nearby make this a great location.

Excellent sound, clean room, and a real attempt to create a safe place for everyone to watch and hear live music. One star was taken off because outside of listening to music there is literally nothing else to do. Its a room with a stage and no seating.

Great community venue that offers an opportunity for artist of all stripes and genres to actually showcase their talent in an all-ages environment, which is essential for bringing young people in and keeping the local music scene going.

Excellent all ages venue. Just saw David Bazan and Yukki Matthews a couple weeks ago. No alcohol of course, but it was worth it. If you hear of a good show there, GO!

Sound quality could have been better, wood floor slippery when wet and made dangerous for moshing, staff was for the most part unprofessional.
