Our girls weekend stay at the Lodge at Geneva Ridge was a disaster! I booked a villa a month ago. I also called the resort three days before our stay and they confirmed my reservation. Upon my arrival at check-in, I am informed that "due to a computer glitch, we overbooked" and the villa I reserved was no longer available! They wanted to split us up into two different rooms, but after some harsh words from our group, they miraculously found two adjoining rooms. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told he was "unavailable" and that they could "have him call me". I never received a call or any acknowledgment from a hotel manager during my stay. We ate breakfast at their restaurant the following morning. Despite the restaurant being about 1/3 full, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Again, we asked to speak to a manager. A "temporary" manager came to our table. The only good part about our stay was our breakfast and rooms being comped. The loss of our reservation is bad enough. The bad service and lack of management is inexcusable. While I appreciate being comped, there is nothing this place can do to make me want to stay here again.

I went to the Geneva Ridge Resort on New Years Eve and it was awesome!!! My wife had heard good things about the resort and she was dead set on us going there for the new years celebration. At first, I was skeptical because I have always spent New Years Eve in Chicago. However, I was blown away with how great this place was. To start, every staff member was very kind and willing to do whatever to ensure people were having a good time. I drove separately for work reasons and this young man named Ryan was so helpful towards my wife. He helped carry my pregnant wifes bag up to the room and made it a point to let her know that if her and her husband needed any help that he would do anything in his power. The New Years Eve Party included an open bar until 1am, the food was surprisingly very good, and the band was out of this world. The Geneva Ridge Resort was well kept and real clean. The prices for a room are also pretty moderate as well. I would recommend this resort to ANYONE. Nice resort and awesome staff makes it a 5/5

Very disappointed. Im not usually one to post reviews, but had to on this one--OVERPRICED AND OUTDATED. The rooms have NO amenities (no microwave, no refrigerator, no coffee pot, no extra outlets, 1 mirror in the bathroom, terrible lighting, and zero water pressure in the shower. The mirror and lighting was a big deal since we were in town for a wedding. The rooms smelled like they had used deodorizer to cover up other smells. Plus they charged a daily $12.00 on top of the rate for.....well, Im not real sure what that was for. The best part is the outdoor pool area and fire pit and the "complimentary" bicycles (although I know I paid for them in that exorbitant price). Also, the front desk staff seemed irritated every time they were asked a question or directions. Lets just say we also stayed 1 night at the Comfort Suites at the entrance to town and there was no comparison in the price, hotel staff, amenities and location. I do not recommend GRR for the price.

The good- hotel was recently renevated. Very clean and nice. Room and bathroom updates nicely and looked fresh. New TVs and very comfortable bed. Great overall property aesthetically pleasing. Staff was all very nice and check in was easy. Had dinner at the onsite restaurant, nice decor, very nice waiter but our burgers/ fries were so salty they were not edible. They did remake them and the second time around they were good. No room service- being 7 months pregnant in the middle of nowhere is not ideal when your growing baby decides you want milk to go with your fudge at 9pm. Which is bizarre considering the phone in the room had an option to call "room service". There was no "hotel" binder in the room, you know the standard book that tells you hotel details, whats nearby, etc. That would have been nice. We also never located the fitness center? Not even signs to point us in the direction.

We had a pretty bad experience at this resort and I would recommend staying away from the Groupon deal. We booked a lakeside room so that we could get a nice view. This was the whole point of picking this hotel over other ones because they still had lakeside rooms available. When we got there they put us in a room facing the parking lot. They said that when they run out of lakeside rooms they dont tell Groupon. This means that we booked thinking we were getting one product and received a worthless product. The quality of the rooms were not much higher than a Holiday Inn. Dont come to this hotel expecting much in terms of room quality and book through them directly if you hope to get a view. The best that they could muster to make up for their massive mistake was a $25 food credit. They should have probably given us a refund.

From the moment I saw the ceremony site at Geneva Ridge, I knew that was where I wanted to have our wedding. The convenience of the outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour area and the reception room just inside the door was perfect. Not to mention all of our guests could stay right there and take advantage of the beautiful accommodations. When we first met Kelly, the wedding coordinator, we knew we wanted to work with her to plan our wedding. She went above and beyond to help our special day be absolutely perfect. Everyone on staff that I dealt with was very accommodating and our guests could not say enough positive things about everything at Geneva Ridge. We got married July 3, 2015 and stayed for the holiday weekend. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Very nice newly renovated hotel with nice modern look. Clean rooms, great service, nice restaurants, good location about 10 min from downtown, bike rentals, free shuttle, nice landscaping and sitting areas outside. For some reason the outside pool was closed during weekday. Its a shame as it looked great and the weather was very nice. Had to use the indoor pool instead. At checkout I was offered a discount due to the closed pool which was nice touch. Free wifi internet with no device limit which is great with a family with multiple devices. Basic breakfast at the coffee shop a little expensive and they did not have milk which was strange. Nice amenities for wedding and there was one while we visited. Overall very nice visit in above average hotel, very likely best in the area.

THE WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER. It shouldnt be considered a spa but thats what they call it. Youre ushered into a tiny room jam packed with strange decor and the smell of mold. Youre then brought to the locker rooms that look like theyre from the 80s and a floor you dont want to take your shows off. You are then brought back naked underneath your robe to sit in a public waiting room to hear EVERY WORD AND COMPLAINT that the therapists have while sitting around the desk directly in front of you. Expensive prices for what Im pretty sure I saw "bodyocolgy" from Walmart being used during my facial. Worthless spa, and when I asked to speak with the director, she rolled her eyes and walked away. The ridge would be go to do away with the spa during the remodel all together.
