I am writing because I would like to inform you of what has to be the worst experience I have ever had going to a movie theater. Let me start by explaining the process of me even being able to get to a movie theater. I am a single mother of two children, I work hard for my money and love spending time with my kids, but as an adult in a new relationship, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend on our first valentines day together by taking him to watch the premiere of DeadPool on 2/11/16 for the 7:10pm showing. I made a night of it, got a babysitter for my two kids, took him out to dinner and then rushed to the movie theater to print out my pre-purchased tickets (I bought the tickets as soon as they became available to make sure we had good seats). He was so excited, as was I. We are seated in the theater, wait for the movie to begin. Time starts to tick and its now 7:30pm and a rude usher comes in and yells "the movie isnt going to play, you have to move to theater 12. First come first serve". I grab my things in a panic and run to theater 12 to get our same seats. We sit and another 15 minutes pass, another usher comes in and says "these seats were purchased by the 7:45pm showing customers and if they come to you and say youre in their seat, you need to move". I was left dumbfounded..."first come, first serve" was not that. It was really, find a seat and hope someone didnt already pay for it. I have been left with nothing but a sinking feeling since this experience. My boyfriend was disappointed, we had driven from North Andover to Revere to watch this movie in your theater as we liked the environment. But, the way your staff treated all of us this day and the lack of sympathy for those of us who struggle to make it out of the house was disheartening. I am now stuck with two tickets that I cant use because I cant find another babysitter for my kids. I am out $150.00 I used to pay daycare, for the tickets, dinner and drinks at the Chatters Restaurant in your establishment. I am writing all of this because there needs to be a better way of serving customers. I understand things like this are out of your control, but honestly, if the staff was more sympathetic, if we had more notice to go and change the time of our tickets maybe this experience wouldnt have had such a negative impact on me. This experience has carried me through two days now of feeling awful and upset. I planned for weeks to see this movie and it was ruined. I hope your company makes some changes, trains staff to be compassionate and is prepared for a Plan B when things like this happen.

Huge parking lot, stadium seating, and reclining leather seats. What else could you ask for in a movie theater? Im so glad they updated this theater, I recently visited Malden and havent been in Massachusetts since 2013 so I wasnt sure if anything had changed. I fell in love with reclining seats as they integrated this upgrade to movie theaters in New York the last few years so Im very glad to see its also here. I wish they also offered more self ordering kiosks (they were out of order that night I went) or at least pre-ordering on Fandango because I wasnt too thrilled having to wait in line surrounded by high schoolers, but other than that, this place is pretty good and I recommend for your viewing pleasure! Id like to also add that everyone complaining about customer service really makes me laugh. Youre at a movie theater, what exactly are you expecting? Stop whining and appreciate the fact that at the very least the place is clean. Movie theater staff arent known to be the best in the service industry, let alone are they truly obligated to serving you just because you purchased a ticket. As someone who came from the service industry, people need to be mindful of the fact that you are just not that special. You are one of hundreds of people staff serve every day. So just because you threaten to take your money to a different theater doesnt mean others wont go to this theater. Seriously, youre here to watch a movie, whats with the high expectations of customer service? Its ridiculous, people rate 1 star and complain in their reviews over the most insignificant of things. Please have realistic expectations, I cannot stress enough that this is just a movie theater. If you want entertainment with great service to boot, go see an opera or something of a higher caliber. If you think the service here is bad, go to a Brooklyn, NY theater and lets see you compare which is really the worse of the two.

This movie theater is good, not great. I have a few problems with Revere Showcase Cinema. I am part of their loyalty program. You spend X amount of dollars and you receive a free popcorn, soda, and occasionally a free movie. I looked up times for a movie and picked the 8:00 PM show. To my surprise, when I got to the Theater, the 8 oclock showing of my movie was IMax 4D, this was not listed when I looked up the movie. Since I am part of the loyalty program, I earned a free movie the last time I went. I was extremely disappointed, when I went to buy two tickets they were $14.50 each. I handed my free ticket and was told it would only take $8 off. I had mentioned that, I had used a free ticket last year and it was used for a $13.50 movie. I was told that I could see a $13.50 movie for free but, they would only give me credit of $8.00 for a $14.50 movie. I politely asked why would I not be credited $13.50? They said that is the polices. Well I had to spend nearly $200.00 at the movies to receive a free movie and now your telling me it is worth $13.50 but, on $14.50 movies it is only worth $8.00. I work hard for my money and decided not to go. If I am paying all this money to see movies amd finally earn a free movie, it should be any movie or at least be worth $13.50 towards any movie! It was very disappointing especially since yesterday I got a hearing aid and for the first time in over 5 years, I would be able to hear with both ears. If you are going to have a loyalty program make me want to come back to your establishment.

I purchased 2 tickets for a movie at 7pm an hour before. After waiting in the theater for an hour before the movie started 2 other people came in with the same seated tickets as me. So after bringing it up to the manager there I was informed that the lady who sold me the tickets sat me for a 10am movie rather then the 7pm movie. Which doesnt make sense if i purchased the tickets at 6pm. So not only was I sold the wrong tickets for the movie with the wrong doing of the employee working, but the manager Dave told me there was nothing he can do and he gave my seats to the other 2 people there and I was forced to move my seats that I was sitting in for an hour before the movie. Mind you I purchased the tickets an hour ahead of the movie and the 2 other people who were sold tickets with my seats purchased their ticket right at 7pm. As a fair person I believe that if I purchased the seats before them I think I shouldve been able to keep my seats from the employees wrong doing and the other 2 people shouldve sat somewhere else. Rather than making me move my seats to the very front row because the movie was sold out. I would never go to the Revere Cinemas. And I would definitely inform others on not going as well. Worst experience ever. And if you do go make sure to not speak to Manager Dave because he is not helpful and fair at all. At the end of it all I just asked for a refund and left. Waste of an hour of sitting down to wait for the movie.
