I am a resident of Tappahannock, and when NN BURGER first opened you could truly tell that everything was fresh. In fact on their menu it says several times that they do not own a can opener, and nothing is frozen. That I know to be a lie, from the multiple people I know that have worked there. About 3/4 of their menu comes out of the freezer. 100% of their "top shelf" menu comes out of the freezer. Lets not mention that since that honeymoon phase was over, all of their toppings are not fresh like they advertise. They actually use shredded lettuce on their burgers. Ill give them this, their milkshakes are phenomenal but for $6 they better be. On the other hand their burgers are truly just decent, especially once you throw in the sub par toppings and ridiculous prices, and Im sorry but to have to spend around $30 to get a burger, fries, and a milkshake is ridiculous. Honestly if you go to Wendys or Hardys and get the most expensive thing on their menu itll be better tasting and cost half the price, oh yeah and youll at least get fries and a drink with your 10 dollar burger unlike NN.

Attended this location recently and was hoping it would live up to the hype. It has a very nice set up like a Shake Shack or 5 guys type of feel. As Im waiting to order I see the guy in the back prepping frozen onion rings. I then see a person bringing up a frozen chicken for the chicken salads and burgers. It immediately turned me off because on the website its sold as a fresh restaurant where they dont use any canned stuff (but to be fair you never said anything about frozen ). I ordered the peppered bacon burger and order of onion rings and fries and my wife ordered the same burger as well. I have to say I think the burgers are good the bacon is amazing and fresh. The peri Peri mayo I added to it was good as well. The lettuce and tomato looked old dried up and nobody in my group ate their sides. Overall burgers are okay. I just wish everything had an authentic feel to it like the name suggests and not a run of the mill everything is frozen food restaurant.

I am a native of Tappahannock but a Google guide living in Colorado. I came home to visit family in town and happened to stumble across this newly established restaurant near a friends shop. The outside of appears to be any old building in the Northern Neck area, but all that changes when you step inside. Vibrant music greets you with the appearance of a rustic hideaway cabin lost in the middle of the woods. The innovative ordering process and unique food preparation puts this restaurant ahead of the rest. The taste of the burgers and shakes exceed that of the national company Five Guys, additionally, MN Burgers have a multitude of craft beers on tap. By far, one of the best burger joints I have ever had the pleasure to visit and you can guarantee I will be back on my next visit to town.

What a disappointment. I recently had foot surgery and this was my "big night out". The burger itself was good. The toppings were lacking. Very lacking. The blue cheese burger had 2 small pieces of crumbles, 2 microgreens, & 2 small scraps of carmalized onions. All of the balsamic vinegar was poured on the bottom bun & it was inedible because it was so soggy. You only have one chance to make a first impression. I did however love the potatoes but will not be recommending the restaurant just to taste potatoes. The drunk party with babies was a turn off as was the employee taking our order with her sad face. The best part was the music. Lots of other places to frequent and we dont have to spend $35 to eat there.

Ive been eaten here quite a few times and have enjoyed it. This last time was awful. I went for a milkshake because the shakes are wonderful. I ordered a vanilla and banana mixed shake because sometimes the banana flavor is really strong. The first time she gave me just s strawberry shake. I told her I had asked for a banana and vanilla mixed shake. She gave me strawberry and banana. So instead of asking a third time I decided to just take it. It wasnt worth the money. All I tasted was strawberry syrup and it was the consistency of melted ice cream. Im very disappointed so I guess Ill start making my milkshakes at home.

Wife and I stopped in here for a burger based on a recommendation from a local resident. We both got a burger and I got an order of onion rings on the side. Cokes from the fountain as well. The burger was middle of the road but nothing spectacular as we expected based on others reviews. Onion rings were very dark brown in color leading me to believe the oil in the fryer was overdue for a change. If I was to return I would try something else like a chicken sandwich. Someone had that at the table next to us and it looked really tasty. Very nice atmosphere and you can choose to sit inside or out.

Cool place but did not live up to the reviews I heard. They really need to work on customer service. Like many small towns they assume you know how it works and forget not everyone is a local. Waited 25 minutes for food a family of three. $48.00. No deals to be found. I have had better burgers sorry I would not recommend going for lunch it was $$$. The one really good thing was the live music was excellent. NN owners look up Burgers & Beer in Gibson City, IL they no how to make a burger. Forget all your pricey sides. Your burgers tasted good but just lacked the WOW factor.

Love the atmosphere and the menu has lots of choices, but maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got the blue cheese burger. The blue cheese had been cooked (?) and both it and the onions looked a little slimy together. The onions were good and sweet but the overall flavor of the burger was Meh. Nothing amazing about the beef patty or the bread. I would be willing try again and order the regular burger this time. Also, the special hand washing station is fun, but the "wash your hands" song in the bathroom is only OK the first 5 times, and turned up a little too loud.

Happened upon this quaint burger joint on the way back home from vacation. I had the Chesapeake crabmeat topped double burger, and my wife had the French onion burger. We split an order of the nacho Tappahannock Twisters. All of it was amazing! The customer service was excellent as well. The only thing I didnt like was the green tea. The citrus green tea left the noticeable aftertaste of artificial sweeteners in my mouth. Other than that an enjoyable meal. We will definitely return.

Kept seeing ads for here on Facebook, and by luck passed by and stopped. Didnt know it was up here in what otherwise seems like itd be an old town, and it stands out for the better. Very modern, great friendly service, live music on Fridays it seems, and beer! At least 8 choices of the popular local brews in a burger joint is great. This is definitely the new weekend, community hangout spot up here. Hahaha and youve gotta go listen to the hand washing song in the bathroom
