If I could give less stars I would. My husband and I planned to see the movie Deadpool opening weekend, we have been planning this trip for weeks. We have a 3 month old son that we planned to bring with us, just like we did for starwars. I nurse him in the previews and he sleeps the entire movie. Well, they let us purchase tickets and stand in line, we go in the theater and of course, the baby pees, I took him to change him and when I come back she says no children. Umm.. I was already let in, he was already asleep. .. why not? Hes 3 months old. She rudely tells me no children under 7 and he doesnt need to see it, I calmly explained that he slept through starwars and he is already asleep and its not like hes watching the movie, he doesnt understand, he cant repeat it. .. hes a tiny baby. She said go see the manager for a refund. .. ouch. So I did. I stayed calm even though I was getting very upset being treated like Im a horrible mother for taking my baby to see deadpool... she told me the same thing. And added, he wont be able to sleep through that anyway and asked for my ticket so she could refund me. Telling me once again, hes too young, and doesnt need to see a movie like that and all kinds of things. I will never return to this theater because of the way I was treated. I could have been told before I stood in line for over an hour, paid for my tickets and entered the theater. I was treated like trash and talked down to. Horrible management. And I never write bad reviews but Im pissed.

If I could give negative stars to this establishment, I would. I was refused a ticket to a rated R movie because I had my 4 month old infant with me. Did I mention he was sleeping? My baby has gone to more movies in his 4 month old life than most adults go to in years, yet I was told that I could not have anyone under the age of 7 with me because they would disrupt the "adult atmosphere." Seriously?! If my child were to cry or fuss, I have no problem leaving the movie, I am not one of those parents who endlessly "shush" their kids when the child refuses to be quiet and doesnt do anything else about it. The best part of this discrimination is that this is a "policy" that has been in effect for over a year supposedly, but yet Ive been sold tickets to rated R movies at least 5 times at the Regal Cinemas in Port Charlotte WHILE carrying my infant. I can understand not bringing a child into a movie like this, but an infant? Seriously?! This is a new one for the books and another means of discriminating against mothers with a baby. Unbelievable. You have hit a new level of low, Regal Cinemas.

Large cinema with many theaters and show times. The entrance to the theater from outside is kind of weird. We circled the front of the building before realizing you have to walk around the backside of the storefront down an ally to enter the theater. We were there at night for an evening showing, so it was pretty creepy and there wasnt any signage directing you where to go. Maybe entering through the mall is better, but not an option for shows after the mall closes. Ticket prices were pretty high, more than Ive seen at other Regal Cinemas. The employees were kind enough but be warned they are pretty intense about their no outside food or beverage policy. We almost werent allowed to take in our (empty) water bottles- something Ive never experienced at another movie theater. Thankfully, the manager we were directed to was kind enough to make an exception. I understand theaters make their profit at the concession stand, but policing empty water bottles seems like a bit much to me. Overall, it was an okay experience but we probably wont be back.

This has got to be the worse theater ive ever been to. Im visiting from NY but dont tell me these guys down here dont know what dolby digital surround or THX is. I see the speakers along the walls but they werent working. Only the front screen speaker is working. SO basically they play movies in simple stereo mode. And the theater had to be perfectly quiet to hear the front speakers besides.I thought maybe it was just one but i saw 2 movies in 2 different rooms during the week and they were both the same. Ontop of that the screens seem shrunken down a bit. The screens were also offset left or right to one side of the theater which would be no big deal but they moved the screen closer to the walls on the side where the entry isles and leaving a gap next to the screen to the wall on the sides where seating is. Makes no sense. Im so annoyed with the idiots running this theater i want to write a letter complaining to the execs who run it.

Its your basic Regal Cinemas, but its got nice facilities, 16 screens, relatively new seats that are SO much more comforable than the old seats, and always carries a decent selection of films (unless the available selection from Hollywood is garbage, in which case theres nothing they can do about that, so please dont blame them for how bad Ghostbusters was). I recently found out they have a no children under 7 in R-rated films policy, and I think thats fantastic; I only hope they consistently enforce that to avoid situations where people get in with a kid one time and are then refused the next time. To the people complaining about concession prices: movie theaters get barely 10% of the profits from ticket sales for the first few weeks after a movie is released, so the snack prices are how they make up for it. Its been like that for years and years, so stop complaining; bring your own snacks from the Dollar Tree if youre that hard-up.

I am livid. I went to see "Left Behind" with my grandparents this Sunday. I felt something uncomfortable on my neck but in the crowded dark theater I chalked it up to an itchy sweater tag and ignored it. I got home and noticed HUGE welts on my neck, arm and various other body parts. I am pregnant and when the nurse at my doctors office saw these terrible red bump clusters she immediately sent me to the ER. They cannot properly treat what is clearly an allergic reaction to BEDBUG bites because I am only 2 months along. I am forced to take benedryl around the clock, I have been asleep since I got home from the hospital because of it and I am extremely uncomfortable. This theater is overpriced and now the lack of cleanliness has extended far beyond the already filthy floors coated in popcorn, candy and soda. I want an apology and I want my grandparents to receive a FULL refund.

I feel it is wrong to offwe student discounts and then make it policy that the discount can only be used Monday - Thursday before 3pm . Especially when kids dont get out of school until 1:55 (high school) and after 3pm (grade school and middle school) The policy also states that a student discount cant be used on the weelend and Friday is considered the weekend. Shame on you Regal cinemas! Tell me, are you encouraging our children to a skip school to see a movie or are you just so cheap that your making it impossible for them to use the discount. If you dont want to give the discount then dont offer it! Very unsatisfied, its bad enough your snacks are way over priced. Now the student discounts. I think I will let all my college friends know about this. We dont mind traveling to AMC theaters!
