I have gone to this place for over 30 years. It has changed names but the owners have been in the family. The pizza is OK but is way over priced. It has had no specials on pizza for ever! (unless you have a large party, wich dose not include the averge person or family) i just picked up a "individule Nile pizza" very, very, small. (about 5 inches di) and a small combo about 8 inches maybe 6! The nile was $5.70 and the (get this) the Sm Columbia Combo was "$13.80"!!!! I can get 3 large pizzas for $15 from sooo many places around here. They need to buck up and realize that there pizza is not the best in the world and take care of the average customer that in this day and age will shop at the lowest priced place they can find. (with in reason of course) today is Feb 4 2009. This economy sucks!!! The worst in decades! GIVE US A BREAK AND LOWER YOUR PRICES OR GO OUT OF BUSINESS!! Your workers are great! Kudos to them!

View is great, Atmosphere is great, Customer service is not always great. We go several times a month as it is my husbands favorite. I have a hard time getting over the cost. Lunch buffet is what we usually come for it is affordable for our family of 5. But nearly $40 for a pizza is a bit much, and I get it you want the best so you use the best but I am sure your customers would increase if your prices decreased, so really you wouldnt be loosing money and would probably get more. Also your coupons are very restrictive and ridiculous. Just my thoughts :)

Roaring Rapids is, without a doubt, the best pizza place in the Eugene/Springfield area. The food is tasty, and the employees are friendly. But where Roaring Rapids stands out, when compared to all the other pizza places, is its atmosphere. I havent found another place in the area where you can sit out on the river and enjoy a pizza. Additionally, they have two mini-golf courses and a full size carousel for the kids. Its truly one of the best places in Eugene/Springfield.

Nice place, great deco, nice outside area but the pizza could be better. The amount and quality of toppings were poor, we ordered a half and half, pepperoni on one side and mushroom, sausage, pepperoni and salami on the other. The pepperoni was fairly sparse and low quality, the other half was more or less half sausage, pep, salami, mushroom and half mushroom and sausage. The mushrooms seemed to be canned and not fresh. We wont be going back.

If ya dont like crispy crust, generous sauce, and high quality toppings... Good! More for me! The modest but exceptionally fresh salad bar and local beer offerings in addition to the pizza make this a really good pizza place. The friendly service, impeccable cleanliness, and fantastic view of the river make it great. Oh and did I mention the Carousel? And the fireplace? And the live music in the summers?

I have only been to this pizza place one time with a group get together & played minature golf & then went in the pizza parlor for pizza which I found very good & the Restaurant faces the willamate River which I thought was wonderful all in all I was very impressed with the whole experiance & on a 1to 10 Ten level ten being excellent I give Roaring Rapids a ten it was a fun day & very relaxing.

For as kid friendly as this place is, I am always appreciative of the decent local beer selection and great pizza. They could easily make below average pizza and people would still come due to the kid centric playground and atmosphere (think Chuck E Cheese horrible pizza). The views of the river are excellent and the staff are friendly. Lots of room for kid parties.

I would have to agree with my fellow reviewer, the view here is great and its nice and close to camp putt miniture golf so its a great place to go with your family after you are done there... but not good pizza by any means, the ingredients were like rubber - mushrooms and bell peppers alike - maybe freezer burned? dunno but they did not justify the price!

Not cool. We spent $69 for two large pepperoni only pizzas and soda for six people. It took 30+ minutes to get to simple pizzas. Then we waited another 30 minutes to ride a old worn-out wood carolsel sat upon hard concrete floors, with absolutely no supervision. The pizza was equal to a chain pizza restaurant. I have no reason to recommend this place.

Large pizzas were $33!!! They were very skimpy on toppings. They would have been good pizzas for around the $15 to $17 price range. Not the best quality toppings either. The place its self was very nice. Nice atmosphere, great outdoor seating and views, that was the best part. We drove in from the coast to try this place and we would not go back.

The pizza here is amazing! And there are delicious salads and appetizers as well. My favorite pizzas are the fallen angel (housemade italian sausage, shaved fennel & roasted peppers) and the margherita (roasted tomatoes, housemade mozzarella & basil). For dessert, the key lime pie is exceptional and the vegan strawberry gelato. To die for!

The pizza was so delicious and HOT. The price is a on the higher end BUT its so good from the crust to three topping, also toy cant beat beautiful river view on the patio and and beer is decent! Surprisingly a good place for a summer date night-- just go straight to the patio to avoid the swarm of birthday parties. :-)

Pietros Pizza lives in its original location under an assumed identity! RR is a great place to take kids with the carousel and arcade, and it also quite nice on warm summer afternoons for hanging out on the patio overlooking the river. I miss the train that used to run through the parking lot though :-(

Wayyyy overpriced except salad bar. Ive been hosting and attending parties here for years, and love how wheelchair accessible and open the layout is. Just really wish they'd have more consistent specials or some less expensive options. Canned mushrooms cannot cost them THAT much.

Great pizza, atmosphere, view, and childrens attraction. Not only was I fortunate enough to come on a night with a live band but the view of the sunset over the river was amasing. Be sure to sit on the deck to enjoy the outstanding beauty that is Oregon.

This is my familys favorite restaurant. Everyone has their favorites and every time, they are perfect. Tacos with handmade tortillas, tuna burger, mac n cheese, yum. The kids meals are a great deal. Dont forget to grab a free cookie on your way out.

This place is very family friendly with lots of parking and easy accessibility. The pizza is pretty good but the salad bar is fairly basic. However, it is very good for large groups, the staff is friendly, and they keep it pretty clean.

Nothing special with boring interior...good local substitute for Chucky Cheese. If you want expensive sub-par pizza and a place full off screaming kids, you have found that place. They do have a great location right on the river!
