HORRIBLE management of Star Wars Force Awakens Premier. I went to this theater for the first time last night and saw the 7 PM Star Wars Premier. My husband and I arrived at 5:45 pm with our tickets that we bought months ago hoping to get decent seats. We got in line thinking that the theater would be opened soon to be able to sit down. We have been to several premiers for big movies like this and weve always been let into the theater 30-60 minutes before the start time. We waited in line until 6:45 when a theater manager announced that they were waiting for a previous movie to let out first (who schedules a movie in the biggest 3D screen in the building before the BIGGEST PREMIER OF THE DECADE?!?!?!) and that it would be ready in a few minutes. However, he told us not to worry about getting our seats on time because they would graciously push back the movie time to ensure enough time for people to find seats. This pissed me off because I paid for a 7:00 premier, not 7:15. When they finally let us into the theater, we were able to get seats and were relieved when they started rolling previews at 7:05. Then, they PAUSED THE PREVIEW! The same theater manager came on stage to advertise the stupid Star Wars 3D glasses special only to Cinemark. He then proceeded to sell those to patrons for FIFTEEN MINUTES WITH THE PREVIEWS PAUSED ON THE SCREEN! It was obvious to me that Cinemark cares more about making a few bucks on those glasses than honoring their movie time. The Star Wars movie didnt actually start playing until 7:30, well after the time I paid to see it. This was extremely disappointing. When we were standing in line would have been a perfect time to sell those stupid glasses instead of pausing the previews. The movie, though, was Spectacular. I would highly recommend everyone see that movie, just not at this theater.

Nice prices. Seats are your average for a theatre. My annoyance today is their webaite said Spider-Man Homecoming starts at 1210. I show up at 1150 to waste time and relax. When I show up their listing shows 1255 and the teller informs me thats wrong too and its 1230. So a 15-20 minute snack break turned into 40n Dropped to a 3. Gave up after 30 minutes of unneeded waiting go get snacks. They have 3 people standing in front of 2 registers. 2 other employees just chatting by snacks and an older male employyee who keeps talking to the girls behind the register. I grab my snack and step to the open register. No one looks at for a good while as I tap my snacks waiting to be rung up. It wasnt until they finished ringing up the guest any of the 3 girls looked at me to let me know they could ring me up. Im a manager for a retail store so I am patient but it takes 2 seconds of customer service to say "we only have one refister open well be with you shortly." Or some equivalent instead of having 5 people ignore you as you stand there confused. So they drop to 1 star. Trailers roll. In suprised no super hero flicks. Its because they sent me to the wrong movie. Somehow Spiderman sounds like "war for the planet of the apes" Luckily apes is one I wanted to watch soonee or later. But strike 3. Now one working on this day was competent.

Tickets are inexpesive BUT theres kids jumping into the end of movies being loud, disruptive, having their bright cell phones on. No one monitors this. These kids that jumped in left ten minutes later and yelled out "Bye B----s" - vulgar profanity at patrons. They rudely disturbed the movie. I wanted to go report them but I would be further disturbed from the movie. I went to inform a manager after the movie, who rudely asked "Whats the problem?". He had very poor customer service skills. I asked to speak to someone above him. While he called that person on his walkie, I heard that person say "Sure" in a very sarcastic, insolent way. I just left, why talk to these two idiot managers about something when they themselves obviously dont care at all about the business. I guess it comes with the territory, this side of town is considered ghetto from what Ive heard and seen.

The theater itself is reasonably clean and nice-looking, and although the staff doesnt go out of their way to be helpful theyre not rude or deliberately unhelpful. If reviewing just the theater Id give it maybe 3 stars, but they definitely lose a star for the kind of people who go here regularly: Movie Talkers. On more than one occasion a person has answered their phone during a movie and held an extended conversation. One such person, while seeing a 3D movie, noticed after their phone call that the 3D glasses polarize phone screens weird and decided to show everyone in his party while sitting in the front row. Theres also people who will just drift in halfway through a movie and then drift back out before the movie ends, which is weird, right? This theater definitely isnt my first choice in moviegoing now.

This movie theater is so overlooked, it might be because of the construction on 290. However, this area seems to be moving on up. The shopping centers nearby are great and always look clean (except for the Walmart on Tidwell). Been here a couple of times in the last 3 months. Parking is great: large and lit up. The theater could use some cosmetic updating, specially in the restroom. However, overall the theater is very clean including the restrooms!! The ticket prices are great. The the concession stand prices are as usual just like at every other theater, pricey, but thats to be expected. Most recently, I had to leave on an emergency while in the middle of the show and the manager, Crystal Harris, was so nice to accommodate are needs. They gave me full refund on our tickets.

Cant give a zero star review. If I could I would. We purchased tickets online to the wrong cinemark on 290 and they will not refund the tickets. It is before the show starts and the theatre says they have to do the refund in person. Its across town with not enough time to drive there. The website only allows refund if it is through your cinemark account. We purchased the tickets as a guest and have no way to get a refund. We will be disputing the charge through our bank. I called the theatre and the person on the phone wouldnt allow me to finish a sentence. Super rude..... Very disappointed Cinemark.

Great theater. From the Kingwood area and this location completely blows my theaters out of the water as far as the crowd. Typical theater snacks and they did not appear to sell alcoholic beverages at this location. Overall a positive experience. Not much they could improve on. Also just to add an extra tidbit I had lost my theater tickets at the concession stand and an employee went out her way to guide us to our movie. That cant be said for any theater staff by my home. Theyd give you the wrong directions if they didnt know the answer.
