I was looking forward to playing this course but was very disappointed. I played the front 9 of the championship course. Usually played from the whites but played from the blues because it was short especially with all the doglegs. Overall the course waws kind of basic, it wasnt up and back through a field, there were elements, but it just seemed like it wasnt designed well. The conditions were quite dissapointing. The greens were very fast and small, they werent recently heavily ballmarked, but you could tell there were lots of balls hitting the green and it wasnt recovering so it was on the lumpy side. The rough grass was recently cut and cut too low, it was very very thick and really grabbed the club. There were lots of "ground under repair" zones, I one had to take relief twice on one hole. The layout on the score card is very deceiving and dramatized. The staff was very nice for the most part! However the ranger was a little grumpy, we were playing with two older ladies and we could only go so fast. Its a public course, it should be comfortable for everyone, kids to seniors, if you want a strict 15 minute per hole, go to a non-municipal course. We were not dilly-dallying, we were playing each shot without hesitation or delay. Also found a dead bird near my ball. Also dont trust that review about "environmentally" unethical. I saw no indication of that and they provide no detail or support for their accusations. Likely either a disgrunteled employee/customer or anti-golf person that hates all golf courses as there is nothing that distinguishes this course from any other environmentally. They do use recycled water.

I play foothills almost every day. 3 courses that are all entertaining, challenging, and well maintained. The championship 18 is a fun course, with beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains. The Exec 9 is also challenging and fun. The Par 3 is simple, but its always a good time to work on your game. The staff here at Foothills are wonderful, I dont know what these other reviews are talking about. I have never experienced a rude staff member. I would highly recommend this course to any player with any skill level. Oh yeah...... BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS EVER!!!

This golf course has Incompetent staff and management. They do not put you down for the right tee time and course. The management does not return calls. It would be wise to spend your money at a golf course that is run better than this one. We had 12 guys for a Bachelor party to play on Saturday morning and two days before I find out they screwed up the whole reservation. Now we are left with finding morning tee times on a Saturday tow days in advance.......

As far as municipal courses in the Denver area go, Foothills is hard to beat. The course conditions, starter organization, and staff are all superb. The rangers are friendly and make it their mission you have an enjoyable round by taking care of slow and inconsiderate groups. A great course to play as a mid-low handicapper from the back tees, but beginners should have no problem from the whites. Overall a great experience.

The rangers are inept. The championship course is played heavily, and eventhough the players dont fix ball marks on the greens you would expect the staff to do so in the mornings. (Not done) The course itself is fun and challenging to the good players, but okay for the hacker. Executive course is a nice course, less played, and you get to play every club in the bag.

Terrible staff. Every time I golf here the staff is rude. I know Im a young golfer, but that doesnt mean you need to treat me with disrespect. I have golfed here over 30 times and its always the same attitudes. If your able to go somewhere else I would.

Foothills is the best golf course. Thanks for everyone there that makes my experience one of the best. A lot of other pro shops have rude staff, but I have never experienced that at Foothills.

Not a bad beginner to intermediate course. The executive 9 can get clogged sometimes and they dont push people to keep moving. But overall golf is nice any day.

The executive 9 is fun to play. Better staff than most places. Hasnt been too busy even before/after Broncos games.

Can be very busy. Not unusual to have to wait at every hole. Better pace and rates at twilight
