Lets start with we asked how long the wait was going to be for two people. They said 60-70 min. After about 10 min I got a text message that our table was ready. We walked over and there was about 30 people who also got a text. I went to the host stand and was told to stand in the crowed and it would be 5 more min. Another 10 min went by and we were seated. The host was difficult to hear as we were in the hallway of the mall and she didnt come out into the crowd to call names. Upon being seated it took a little while for the waitress to come over. It was obvious they over sat. The drinks took a little while to come out. Every time she visited the table she was short and rushed. I swear she only heard half of what we said. Boy was that true! We ordered an app and our meals. First off, our app came out with the meal. My fiancées dinner was wrong. $20 for fish n chips, okay a little over priced but they need to feed the fish. What really bit me was the tarter sauce container. It was the size of a quarter. Once I finally was able to stop the waitress (this was the 3rd time to the table since getting food that she would let me talk) she brought out two identical size containers. I still was not able to eat all of my fish with it but was so disappointed I wouldnt ask for more... Que the wrong meal. The server (not even our waitress) took her meal back right away and put in her correct order. Shortly after a guy with a plaid shirt comes over and says her meal will be right out, they were cooking it. It was was really good upon arrival. Not one person apologized or took responsibility for messing up the order. The guy in the plaid shirt never introduced him self. Continue bad service... The waitress seemed a little annoyed with getting me soda. She asked if I still wanted refills on my soda. I said no because I didnt want to pain her for doing her job. About 5 min later I gave up eating. I sat there twiddling my thumbs as I waited for my fiancée to finish her meal for another 15 min still no stop in from the waitress for dessert or anything. I finally flagged down someone with a walke talkie and asked for her to send the manager. She wouldnt get him/her unless I stated what I wanted. Moments after the waitress walked by so I asked for the check. She quickly came back with it. Moments after the same guy with the plaid shirt came over. I explained how awful the service was and how annoying that it was I was paying $20 for fish and chips ($9.99 in NYC) and couldnt even get a sufficient amount of tarter sauce (well what they call tarter sauce). He seamed bothered to have to talk to me, again didnt introduce himself. He comped her meal and ran my card. Food tasted okay, presentation was good. Service was poor but the atmosphere was awesome.

This place is the best! Stephanie and I picked The Aquarium based on the menu. We had no idea the restaurant is built around a real aquarium as big as the manatee exhibit at the Columbus zoo! The diversity of fishes is incredible. They had several mud rakers (aka shark-rays), two different kinds of stingrays (only the smaller of which are in the Columbus zoo), six eels of two different types, and about 20 different kind of fish ranging from several inches to several feet long. This is a serious aquarium, and they have veterinary staff give health care to the fish. Theyre well-fed; and the environment is a really cool place for them to swim around, with imitation coral reefs that have tunnels and caves for the eels and fish to play in. The tank is 200,000 gallons, which is absolutely huge. Our server, Scotty, has worked there for the better part of a decade. He was able to tell us about the various fish in the tank--what they were called, what their behavior typically is, and how theyre cared for. But even Scotty was surprised when the mermaid showed up. He knew they were taking about doing shows, but he didnt know they were starting this weekend. She had a tail fitted that allowed her to move around pretty well, and she looked like she was having a great time. Little girls in the restaurant were following the mermaid around the tank while she blew them kisses--a really fun touch. Occasionally, a group of boys broke off from that group of children when she was upstaged by one of the giant eels, but she really made our night. She had a scuba diver with her to make sure she didnt get into trouble since there are sharks in the tank, but he was a fun addition to the show too. After she left the tank he posed for a selfie with one of the boys. While we were taking this all in we were sipping the best-made drinks weve had in a long time. I got the Navy Grog, which was surprisingly smooth. It *looked* like some kind of grog or swill since it was a brown cloudy mixture, but it tasted so good I forgot it was alcoholic. And then the food arrived. This is by far the best seafood Ive had since I was on the wharf in Boston. The combo appetizer was giant, and it was delicious. The calamari was terrific in the creamy seafood sauce in the middle of the platter. I ordered the macadamia trout with pontchartrain topping. It was decadent. The fish was perfectly done and the topping was creamy, with a variety of shrimp, mushrooms, and other seafood mixed in. The vegetables were also perfectly done; thoroughly cooked but crisply al dente. Throughout our meal both Scottie and the manager checked in with us frequently; the service was as terrific as the rest of the experience. If I could mark six stars on this review, I would.

I usually do not write reviews ever, but I had too. I brought my family to this restaurant so we could enjoy the atmosphere before going to a kids concert across the street at the Grand Ole Opry house. The fish are beautiful, that was NOT the problem. The waiter was slow, did not keep drinks filled, he had tables all over the place so, he could not keep up with us. The quality of food was my biggest problem! For 5 people, 2 adults, 2 teens and 1 six year, our bill was $140.00, now I have been to many upscale restaurants and their food was worse than Red Lobster. For the money you pay the should be good, to say the least. I want to say we had two appetizers, one was the onion stack, came out cold, the shrimp cocktail was disgusting. Tasted pretty bad, not fresh. Now the main dishes, 2 of the large appetizer plates for the Teens, $15.99, they love calamari and did not eat it, it was hard and rubbery, they ate two things out of 5 on their plates, which is rare. I had the broiled platter and my husband had the fried. I was suppose to get Sea scallops instead of the stuffed shrimp and crab, because of gluten allergy, I was given these about 8 tiny bay scallops and when I ask they said normally they are but they were out! They were hard, cooked too long. My husband said his food tasted like crap, so blunt. The shrimp was gross. $23.95 for the platters each. The 6 year had a little pizza. $5.99, I left a $18 something tip. Anyway I would have went to The rain forest cafe, ect for the money. Just wanting to give a heads up, the tanks of fish are nice the food is disgusting.
