I was extremely impressed by the selection of cichlids at Aquarium concepts. Best in Shreveport. Further, the quality of the tanks and water was excellent. The fish as a result, are in excellent heatlh and well taken care of. I am an expert fish keeper and truly appreciate the intangibles associated with pet stores an their fish keeping, fish environment, fish activity level , selection of sizes and species. This isnt a corporate dump of what ever fish are cheapest. These are fine selections there was a gorgeous selection of peacocks there. The owner was a helpful knowledgeable guy and pleasant to speak with. I would recomend Aquarium concepts for fish purchase and will use them exclusively from now on. Fine store!

I have been an Aquarium Concepts customer for several years and there isnt anywhere I can think of that I would rather do business with. The fish that they keep are the ones that you WANT to have in your tank. I have had Cichlids for over 10 years and I never fail to find the right one to add to my tank. When you take them home you dont have to worry about the rest of your fish getting sick because his tanks are all taken very good care of. You dont see dead fish in his tanks and you never see fish that are half starving. I have always gotten great advice and no one has ever been anything but nice to me. I would recommend them to anyone who was looking to buy fish for their tank, big or small.

So glad I discovered this place through a friend. Great owner and staff. Excellent lines of products and fish food. Exceptional selection of cichlids -- hands down. Great for any fresh or saltwater enthusiast. Ive heard of their good reputation around town with the larger aquariums that businesses have that I frequent. But Ive also learned personally that they are there to assist and help with the individual coming in for just one fish. Great selection of tanks, supplies, fish, coral, rock, and much more. You wont regret stopping in. They definitely have me as a consistent customer.

Scott has helped me a lot with my first saltwater tank. Hes very friendly and helpful. The tanks are all very clean and the fish look good. Ive never spent more than $30 there at a time but hes spent quite a bit of time helping me get my tank up and running. I saved quite a bit of money on stuff he said wasnt really necessary. He special ordered a fish I wanted, which was pretty awesome. Ill buy fish from him if I can since the tanks are always so clean and Ive never seen any dead or sick fish in any of the tanks.

Scott at Aquarium Concepts is friendly, helpful, and genuinely loves this hobby. This dude knows his stuff when it comes to saltwater and African Cichlids. I have traveled all over Sheveport/Bossier and East Texas trying to find beautiful Cichlids. Other places have them, but not like the ones at Aquarium Concepts. All his tanks are clean, and the fish are very healthy. If you really want the premium stuff, look no further. Welcome to fish heaven...seriously.

Fish both salt and fresh are of excellent quality. The owner has a lot of experience and is willing to help you make the best decision for a successful aquarium. Not sure what the other guy was talking about when he said you have to be willing to spend thousands of dollars for him to talk to you.
