The store is nice and they have great products. Unfortunately, their service goes beyond unacceptable. I have witnessed the manager there on several occasions being very rude to customers (yelling at them, taunting them, swearing at them and talking even worse about them after they left the store). After seeing this several times and also seeing the owner do nothing about it when she saw it firsthand, I chose to take my business elsewhere. Obviously she is more than aware of the problem, yet wont do anything about it. I know firsthand they have lost business because of their manager and his foul mouth. Its too bad, because I love supporting local businesses, but not ones who treat their customers so poorly.

Overall, this is a decent store for purchasing saltwater supplies and my go to place whenever I need something for my aquarium. Are they perfect? No. But if you need help with something just ask, and they will help you. They dont hound you asking you if you need help, but to me thats a good thing. The only critique I have is that I wish they would acclimate fish a little more slowly, as I see dying fish all the time. Or quarantine them before putting them on the sale floor, as its not just a product its a living being. But that would also be expensive for the store and take a lot of time. Overall though, still a good store and the prices are fair unlike Adams Aquatics.

Most everyone there is helpful, especially Brianna. But there is one guy there who is extremely rude, and I think he is the owner. His name is SCOTT. I have been in there a couple of times looking for some help setting up/maintaining my aquariums, and when I talked to him he acted like he had better things to do and that I should top wasting his time. Guess what buddy...you work in retail and customer service!!! Ill be spending my money elsewhere now as the first time I thought maybe he was having a bad day, but no, he is like that every day. Its no wonder someone tried to ruin his in-store aquariums, he probably treated that person like he treated me.

Just read the negative comments below and Im shocked. My family and I have always been treated like guests. My questions have always been thoroughly answered. And the thing i like most , is that they are REAL with you. But maybe I view it this way because it Im NOT hypersensitive. The gift card method is dated, I agree. But keep track of your stuff and you wouldnt have encountered this issue at all. The word is "responsibility".

I have been going to this store for 10+ years. Everyone in the store is very helpful (even when I was a mess with my dog having digestive issues) and friendly. They are always very willing to help with charity work that the ARL does (by donating a part of their store in the back!!!), hanging flyers, etc. Ill always shop here for my pets stuff! I just wish I worked closer so I could go more frequently like I used to.

This is an OK place if you already have a relationship with their crew, or are very specific in what you want. This is not a place for the average hobbyist. I have been several times by myself, with my young daughter, and with whole family; rarely does anyone ask if we need help. I have been in the hobby of different animals for years so Im not too put off, but I have to question if they really care.

I just hate to hand out 5 stars. This place is awesome for cat toys. I dont really know about other stuff. 15 minutes in this store??? Are you kidding me? How can you only spend that much time here? Just cat stuff, in a hurry... took me at least a half an hour, only acouple of minutes to check out. The staff I talked to were very nice and helpful.. Ok changing it to a 5 star

My husband and I were here for 25 minutes looking very interested in lots of the aquarium supplies. Not one employee even acknowledged us. We also saw 4 dead fish, two of which were stuck to the sides of the tank growing mold. Neat place to look for ideas but we wouldnt buy our fish here because it doesnt appear they clean the tanks well or promptly remove dead fish.

The rudest people in retail work here. If you can pull one staff member away from a consversation from another staff member for help, you are lucky. When paying for your overpriced items they cant even look at you and make small talk, but instead are checking cell phone. I will never go back and plan on telling anyone I meet to shop elsewhere.

Great selection of pet foods. Wish they had more options on reptile items but they do have great options for dog and cat foods and supplies. Can normally find what I want here, but they can be overpriced on some items versus other stores, and dont have anyone that seem to know much about raw food diets.

Always have a good experience getting dog food and talking to the people about my golden retriever. Even get the 13th bag free and they load the food up on slick days for me. Love the birds that my kids and I always try to talk too. :-)

Always had great luck here. They also are one of the few in town that cary Sojos Dog Food. LOVE that they have adoptable animals form the ARL there too. Whenever I check out theyre friendly and really seem happy to be working with pets : )

That One Guy

A decent selection of things for your pets. Staff have been friendly and polite for the most part. Usually I have to ask for help, but thats okay as normally they arent bombarded and often have an extra couple employees to help.

Wonderful store, helpful and educated staff. Went to purchase an angelfish and the guy helping me noticed they had a tiny spot of ich and let me know. I so appreciate that kind of customer service.

I have now purchased about 20 saltwater fish within the last year and all in good health no issues. Great advice and always fair price. In my opinion best fish store in town.
