A great place to take the kids if youre in Lake Jackson. Its free (though donations are highly appreciated). They have a small outdoor pier trail you can walk on and learn about all the different animals and birds of Coastal Texas. Inside they have aquariums with native wildlife. They have some tropical tanks as well and touch tanks as well. The aquarium is a short stop and out of the heat. Its a small place but again its free. I recommend going and I know Ill go back. Go learn about our wetlands and why our coastal wetlands and coastal prairies are so important.

Its a great place to see some prize Gulf fish in their various aquariums. Very exciting for someone who has been fishing the Gulf with his dad since he was a kid. The touch tank has some great animals for kids to observe including declawed blue crabs. The wetlands boardwalk was nice but mainly for viewing plants and a few birds and some garden spiders. Its a small educational center. Its free. If they charged a fee, it wouldnt be worth it. If you want a tour of the fish hatchery, make a reservation. Well have to go back for that.

Could use more energetic people the guy doing the touch tank had no personality and my kids felt like they couldnt even touch the creatures because guy was breathing down there necks and when asked a question he was just cold fish instead of when questions were asked he could have told kids about creatures instead of looking at them like they were gonna steal a crab if it wasnt free I wouldnt go back

Great little facility. This place isnt huge so expect to spend a few hours here at most. It is nicely organized and gives a good education into the Texas coastal ecosystem. The aquariums are thoughtfully arranged and seem to be well maintained. Combining a visit here with a stop by the nearby Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge makes for a nice day trip to the area.

We found this to be a nice, small aquarium type sea center. It takes less than an hour to see the inside. We didnt tour the outdoor things. Its free and just the right size for younger kids to look at everything without getting bored and parents getting tired of chasing them. You cant even lose them here. :) Nice little gift shop and t-shirts.

This was a great place to take your kids. Its not the biggest aquarium in the state of Texas but it has quite a few fish that represents what is seeing commonly in the gulf and Bay. I thought it was quite educational. They also have a place where the kids can touch sea shells as well.

This place is awesome, the fee to get in is under $10 I believe and free for kids sometimes. The tour is a great educational experience for children and adults. Anyone who is interested in fishing and conservation. Theres also an element of science to the tour. It really is a fun time

A free museum with incredibly large fish. There is a touch tank with crabs, starfish and tiny fish. Outside you can walk on a dock and you may spot some alligators or turtles if it is summertime. There are 3 pokestops and 2 Poke Gyms at this location.

Cute little place for kids. Very small, takes an hour or less, so good for kids who get bored fast. Good thing is its free, they run off donations, so if your in the area & low on funds the kids can still have some fun.

A favorite summer and rainy weekend activity with my daughter. We LOVE watching the feedings in the big tank, and walking the deck in the wildlife habitat. If I could bring a picnic lunch in, wed be set!

Neat to see how eggs and fish are harvested for the gulf. Petting tank there too. We made it in time for the feeding of adult fish. Short but interesting experience.
