Favorite place! Comfy and homey and where else can you go for $4 movies? Good junk food at the concession: bulk candy (as well as candy bars), premium ice cream bars and Dibs, bottles of flavored iced tea drinks, and all-you-can-drink icewater. :-) They run movies slightly after the full-price movie theaters, and their selection usually includes something interesting. They run some of the big movies plus some that fall into the "film" category, like films based on Jane Austen books )(e.g., "Love & Friendship"), lesser-known quality flicks, and an occasional documentary (e.g., "Older Than Ireland," which gets 100% on Rotten Tomatoes). I often want to go to several of their movies. Since its only $4 a pop, thats no problem.

Theater owner, are you reading this? Another customer groped me, had his phone ring in the movie, and texted during the movie three times. Twice I asked ushers to handle that man. They have a weird rule that they have to catch him in the act. BS! When this happens in other theaters, Ive had concession workers go into the auditorium and speak with the offending customer. Thats how its done. I shouldve called the police, and Ill be writing to Landmark corporate to let them know how unprofessional the staff is here. I was offered a voucher, but I felt violated. Whats insane is that neither of the workers I told about the assault did anything. F you, Crest! You lost my business.

Have easily seen over a hundred movies there. The cheap ticket cost makes bad movies more enjoyable, yes popcorn is overpriced but theres a 7-11 right across the street. Also a few extra parking spots to the side of that 7-11 that no one ever grabs. Its the one theatre you can go to without feeling weird about going by yourself, theres almost always a few loners at each show. Browse the seats before you sit down though; many are new and comfortable with lots of space, others are well... what youd expect from an old theatre. One of my favorite places ever, even with the springs up the butt

Wow! I have gone to $1 theaters in Houston, TX where the chairs were broke, and the homeless slept. I thought it would be the same way here. What a huge relief that it was not. This place is cute. The theater has tons of free parking next door at the closed bingo place. The tickets are only $3 (and to my suprise they take credit/debit cards), and the theater is really nice. It was clean, the seats were cushioned, and the screen was about as big as any other theater. They had food there, about the same price as any other theater. I LOVE IT, and they change the movies every week.

Theres only a few Landmark theaters left, and this is one of the coolest. To everyone b1ching about high concession prices, consider that they likely make zero or even lose money on the ticket prices, so the only thing keeping the doors open is the concessions. The thinkg I like about Landmark theaters the most: They still use real butter on their popcorn. I dont think theres anyplace left in Seattle to get a low price movie ticket so please consider supporting these guys.

Family loves it each and every time we go see great movies for cheap and enjoy the real fresh-popped Orville Redenbachers popcorn with real butter and free refills until 9:55 p.m.! Most often, we find it worthwhile to wait until movies have made it to the Crest before going to see them. Because its so crazy-expensive to go to the big chain theaters. We only go if the movie is one that is so much better if seen in IMAX version for example.

This theater is an old, small, local multiplex theater that boats lots of kitschy charm and class! It has several screens that it offers two different shows on per day with two showings each per day. The movies it offers are the ones that have just left the big multiplexes and are about to go on DVD, so the price is cheaper, $4.00 per ticket. They have a good concession stand that wont leave you feeling ripped off either.

What a deal..... Seats are a little old. Carpets a little dirty but once the light go down who cares. Go to the movies with a group of 10 for 30 bucks. That is crazy fun. I love this place. Refilable popcorn and drinks to top it off. I go to a lot of movies at really nice theaters but I always have a ton of fun here. If you havent been get a group together and head out to have a good time. It is a sure thing.

It is an older theater running movies that have been out about 2 months or so. Tickets are currently $4. I like the vibe of the theater. It reminds me of what going to the movies used to be like when I was growing up. It is older, the floors creak a little bit, and it feels like an old craftsman house in Ballard. Not a slick new condo downtown, where you have a couple of googleplexes that I prefer not to go to.

Given there is an enormous amount of waste when buying useless things, I have found the Crest to be the best buy ever when compared to its competition. I do not have trouble waiting for first run movies. Its not a restaurant so having expensive popcorn, etc. does not bother me at all. I eat before I go, or bite the bullet and splurge like we do when we buy something at a restaurant.

Some people complain that the concessions are overpriced, but here is the thing. The Crest makes most of its money on concessions because their ticket prices are so low! I would much rather support the theater that way than paying the extortion price of normal theaters for both tickets and snacks. Also the Crest has the best popcorn in Seattle, only rivaled by Cinerama

Amazing popcorn, great sound, but the screen is kind of small. However, I love how they show fairly new movies that arent on cable or Netflix yet, but still old enough that they arent in the big theaters anymore (like AMC and Regal). I went to see Dr. Strange here and I was very happy with my experience. Definently worth it, especially since movies are only $4!

Best place to see a movie. $3 seats? Alright! And the popcorn is affordable. And the movies -- 5 screens, usually something good to see, if not 2 or 3 of the choices. This neighborhood joint has been there for a long time. Best value around for an affordable nights entertainment. The staff are always friendly and upbeat. Definitely patronize the Crest.

I dont mind that the movies are a little old but its a way to say u still seen it in theaters only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price of the popcorn for one a medium was $7.00 and the large soda was 4.75 I know the movie is $4.00 to get in but the movie is also some times out on DVD please find a way to get a deal at the concession stand

This little gem runs several concurrent movies .Theyre mostly just off first run in the major theaters, so are still contemporary films at an AMAZING PRICE. They have all the usual concessions. Parking is a little skimpy, but theres always someplace in the neighborhood if the two parking lots are full. This is one of my favorite neighborhood venues.
