I have to say that pound for pound this is my favorite movie theatre. Its surprisingly a lot bigger than what it appears outside. It always seems to be relatively clean at all times, not overpriced, and their customer service is on point if you have those one offs where you cant make it to that movie youve already bought tickets for. Its location itself is right in the epic center of Ballard so if your looking for beers, burgers, or something else before and/or after the show then youre all set. Its not perfect, but for me its pretty damn close.

My favorite place to see a movie. Movie tickets are expensive. You pay a lot to see a show in a theater. The Bay respects that in a couple of (I think) important ways. At the top of the list: no commercials. You dont pay to have advertisers blast you with their message. The angle of the floor (the rake) means you wont be staring at the back of someones head. They use real butter on the popcorn. The main theater has a delightful waterfall curtain. This theater cares about a good movie experience and it shows.

Took my daughter to see the 12:15 showing of the beauty and the beast. Shortly after taking our seats, the cashier came in and announced that they had to reboot the projector, and the that show would start shorty. We waited until A little after 1:00 and decided to just get a refund and try another theater. Was refunded for the tickets and left. To bad I had already bought candy and paid for parking. Also on a side note, since when have theaters started charging a convenience fee for reserving Seats online?

Its not a huge theater, but the seats are comfortable, the popcorn is excellent, and the people are always friendly. Concession prices are a touch high, but fairly comparable with other theaters. Additionally, the Majestic Bay has a personality that many other, larger cinemas lack. Between the posters on the walls and the Popcorn Pig on the third floor, the Majestic gives off an ambiance of fun with just a touch of old-fashioned class. Its my go-to theater, and has been since I was a kid.

This is a theater that should probably grow to fit the growth of the neighborhood its in. Its clean, well appointed, and has a certain class to its atmosphere that feels like youre living someplace with a lot of well-educated people. The theater does have a cold snacks and hot-dogs. Drinks are filled behind the counter by competent and polite, but not necessarily cheery employees. Its one of the theaters I enjoy in the Seattle area.

This is my regular theater for a reason. Its not big or flashy, but its got a classic feel to it. Its stadium seating, so no difficulties with seeing over peoples heads. While everyone else flocks to IMAX or over-hyped 3D, I go here and have an enjoyable experience. Its walking distance to and from a lot of great restaurants around Ballard. Give it a try, decide for yourself.

This has always been my favorite theater in Seattle! Super cozy, old school movie theater vibes. The people who work here are always friendly and they normally are playing at least one good movie. They play a good amount of family movies and major blockbusters, and occasionally have a good indie film. Also has a great location near good eateries for a pre or post movie meal.

This movie theater is not big or fancy by any means. But that is what makes it great! Its got a super neighborhood feel to it. I am so glad I live down the block from this place. It has been my favorite movie theater I have been to when I want to go to a movie by myself. Or when I dont want to deal with big crowds or lines. It would be cool if they served beer and wine.

Good theater, small selection but that is kind of a part of its charm. The theater is certainly not run-down but it has a vintage charm to it that adds to the experience. Its nice in a city like Seattle with many districts to have a theater within walking distance and its right on Market Street so a drink before or some food after is an easy option.

I had lived in Fremont when I first walked to two movie houses in Ballard. Worked at Northwest Steel Rolling Mills Inc. Had my tonsils removed in the Old Providence hospital. Most of my youth and my present life has centered in on and around Ballard; the old police station across from the Jones Brothers Meat Market, across from Veras.

Nice old school style theater. No flashy gimmicks, just get your ticket out front at the box office, turn right at the entrance to pick up some snacks, and enjoy the huge empty theater! Granted we came on a Friday early afternoon, but my wife and I were visiting from CA and it was a nice convenient walk from our stay.

Not the biggest screens (especially in smaller sections), nor most comfortable seats... but a great theater none the less! Never overcrowded. Actual fresh popped popcorn and real butter if you want it. They also offer all the usual sweets you expect. Clean restrooms and a working elevator if you cant do the stairs.

A local 3 screen theatre in Ballard (a neighborhood of Seattle). It has a mix of first-run blockbusters, art films and kid films. Some Kung Fu movies as well. Due to the lack of Ballard parking, once you get there its usually not crowded. We usually get our tickets ahead of time just in case. Much beloved theatre.

When the Majestic Bay opened its doors after the remodel, both my kids got baseball caps and were invited to help start the projector. One goes off to college soon and the other has a couple more years of walking to meet his friends at the best movie theatre in Seattle. Great childhood memories!

Awesome theatre! The seats are nice. I love the introductions to the movies when you are in the big theatre downstairs. Its not just a movie but an experience. All the shows are in non-3D, so the tickets are still reasonable. Great place for a movie!

OMG! Love this little cinema! It doesnt look like much on the outside, but once in the door--WOW! Eclectic choice of snacks, clean, comfy seats, state of the art sound and screen...reasonable prices, too! Pretty sure you wont regret seeing a film here.

I love this theater. It feels like going to a small neighborhood theater from your childhood, but the theater inside has all the high tech youd expect from a "fancy" mall cinema. Has a great Seattle feel, especially with the pig upstairs.

Cute neighborhood theater on Ballards main street. The theater usually shows blockbusters and fairly popular movies. Its not unusual for this theater to be packed full - so arrive extra early to find street parking if you drive.

This is a fun theater as it is definitley up to do date and looks like it but theyve managed to keep the older, vintage feel in the lobby areas. Think Harvard Exit or Egyptian with updated tech and comfortable seating.

This place seems to keep movies running a bit longer than at other theatres so you have a greater chance of watching a movie thats been out for a while. The theatre could use some renovations; the seats arent the best.

Ive gone to this theatre at least once every month for the past 3 years of my life for two reasons. One I enjoy a good movie, and two this theatre has a great vibe. Its the perfect place to go see a movie on a weekend.
