This is one of the best museums in the Seattle area. Free on first Thursdays and well worth the admission on other days. Step into the museum and explore the rich history of Asian Americans in the US and in Seattle. Take the tour and walk through a hotel from the 1890, seeing what it was like to be an Asian immigrants at a time when they had to live in hotels, because it was illegal to own homes. Learn more than you think you can and leave even more curious than before. From the hotel and the preserved apothecary and shop, which can be seen only via guided tour, to the museum halls which showcase more modern artworks and stories impacting us now, you really cant miss. Learn about Bruce Lees connection to the Seattle area and be inspired by the strength and success of the people here, before stopping by the fun gift store on the way out. The museum and hotel can be made accessible by elevator and if you ask at the front desk, they will provide you with a token to store any items you dont wish to carry, in a locker. Great for families and individuals.

If you come to the International District for the food, you must also check out the history at the Luke Wing Museum. The many collections and exhibits address a wide range of Pacific Islander Asian American history, and remains easily understandable for the casual visitor (like me!) Fun Fact: The tour guide said this is one of two museums with a Bruce Lee permanent exhibit (the other in Hong Kong) A quick Google shows one or two others may exist, but still, a great exhibit! Your wristband allows you back in - so put your name on a wait list, check out the museum, eat, and come back!

Took the Bruce Lee Experience Tour and learned quite about Bruce Lees role in Chinatown. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and educational, not only about Bruce Lees early years, but also about Asian Americans role in Seattle. On the tour we walked around the Chinatown district and learned about places that Bruce Lee frequented, the location of his first dojo, and had his favorite meal for lunch at his favorite restaurant (price included with tour).

Excellent educational "tour" of Asian (though not limited to) immigrants history, challenges and successes. Definitely a learning experience. Our guides were fantastic - you can hear the passion in their voices, in how they describe the stories that make up an alley, a building, a section of town, streets, food. The experience grounds you to what may seem long ago, yet really, the struggle continues, in muted, hidden ways today.

The Wing is an amazing community asset. Their community-driven exhibits tell a unique and authentic story about Asian immigration and Asian American experiences in the Northwest. Their museum space too is a beautifully renovated and significant historical landmark as one of the original residential hotels. They have extraordinary and well researched exhibits. For locals and tourists alike, this is a must see.

AMAZING! The museum engaged guests as well as informed them of historical and contemporary issues and events. I almost passed on the tour, and I am glad that I did not. There were heartbreaking, infuriating, uplifting, inspiring stories, displays, and artifacts of the Asian Pacific American Experience. Worth the admission fee, and the highlight of my trip.

Being a long standing Bruce Lee fan, I really love the experience here. You can re-live his life, training and work with hundreds of photographs, memorabilia and video. They even have a so-so replica of the mirror room which Bruce had on the set of Enter the Dragon. No photographs are allowed so take your memories with you.

I took my mom here after eating dim sum at House of Hong. This museum has a unique design where you pass between the late 19th & 21st century. Its wonderful to see how people lived & worked in this 101-yr. old building. Our tour guide Fiona was super informative. The current exhibition includes Master Bruce Lee.
