I came here looking for the Nuclear Wessels in Alameda......All i found was an abandoned navy base. I have seen the USS Hornet in SD. This ship was about the same. Be prepared to walk and crawl a ton. If you cant handle ladders, you will not get far. Beautiful view of the bay from the deck.

The museum features a large collection of items documenting the aviation history of Alameda, and is housed in a small building which was the original terminus of the PAN-AM China Clipper, the first trans-Pacific airline service. Come visit this gem when you next visit the Hornet Museum.
