CuriOdyssey has a great combination of zoo animals as well as educational play equipment. For people who are familiar with other Bay Area kids oriented attractions, this has a blend of little bit of Exploratorium, some exhibits of reptiles, birds, as well as their star of the show - the river otters. You can definitely tell that the river otters enjoy the kids company while they are swimming around. They are constantly bouncing off of the wall where the kids are watching them. There is a lot of woos and wows moment when the otters jump out of the water just to show the kids what they can do. Also if you have a few minutes to spend before or after the visit, be sure to walk behind the building, which is located on top of a hill overlooking the San Francisco Bay. It is one of the many locations throughout the Bay Area where you have the opportunity to gaze at the amazing view of the Bay. Id say plan to spend 2-3 hours at the place. I think the adults will enjoy the place as much as the kids.

Visited during one of their community days so its free! (UP. $9/adult $6/child) Its relatively small so for adult visitors, it will take no more than 1.5hr to walk through the entire exhibit slowly. Got to see owls, Bobcats, otters, Eagles, heron, snakes, badger and a couple more. Do find the exhibits a little on the small size for the Bobcats and Eagles. Like that they explained how these animals and birds ended up at CuriOdyssey, such as having been imprinted by humans and they are unable to live in the wild. I like the walk-through aviary the most. They have blue heron, magpies, other birds and turtles. To a certain extend, it allows you to see these creatures in an environment that mimics their natural habitat. Overall, a nice place to visit in the peninsula. Best paired with Japanese dining at San Mateo. I give it three stars with a plus one for the free community days.

I love the animal exhibits but theres not much else to do unless youre a little kid. The animals are beautiful and very well taken care of. This place reminds me of Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek. The kids exhibits are science oriented, and mostly involve physics tricks. I thought they were fun, well-thought out and engaging. My only concern is the entrance fee is not merely the $8-$9 per adult, but it costs money to merely park a car in Coyote Point recreation area ($6.25). The museum is inside Coyote Point Recreation Area. Keep this in mind, unless you go by some other means of transportation. Take a few hours when you go, and check out the Marina below.

Fun place for the little ones! We were given a membership for my sons 1st birthday and we go maybe once a month and he loves it! There are two main parts of the museum. There is the animal exhibit with otters, bob cats, fox, eagles, snakes, etc. The other part is hands on installations with all kinds of things to press, pull, turn and blow - great for toddlers! The park around is very nice too. Usually after we visit we have lunch on the park admiring the view of the bay and the landing airplanes. Have in mind there is a $6 parking fee (unless you have a membership in which case its free).

Life saver if you have a child! We take our three year old son here all the time and he never tires of it! We got the family membership and it paid off in a month. There is an indoor space with different stations that kids can run around in. Since there is only one exit/entrance, you dont have to worry about your child running off. The outdoor space has a few animals (otters, bobcats, raccoons, a fox) that kids love to watch. Theres a picnic area that is fantastic for eating packed lunches. All in all, a fantastic place to take your kids! Get the membership of you live in the area!

This place is a great hands on museum. It is entertaining to any kids that are able to walk around themselves. Inside, there are wind tunnels that kids can put colorful styrofoam into and watch it fly. There are is an elaborate machine composed of gears, ramps, and more where each kid does a job to move balls from place to place. They love it. Outside, there is a large sand table with water running through. Kids can practice diverting the water with pipes and channels. Also, the otters are so much fun!

Compact little museum with a miniature "zoo" of sorts. Many of the animals they have are rescued wildlife that couldnt be returned to the wilds. The displays change often and there are usually features that are relevant to the local environment. Admission price is reasonable. Nice place to spend a few hours with family in the midst of a park setting - but dont expect the San Francisco Zoo or California Academy of Sciences.

We love this place!! Come see the otters play and the foxes nap. There are quite a few great live animal exhibits to explore. Inside there are great experiments to play with hands on - I love the air tubes, kaleidoscopes, and fluid chambers. While at Coyote Point, be sure to bring the kids to the Magic Mountain playground as well!

Awesome little activity center in the middle of coyote point recreation area. Was a pleasant experience, with lots of small fun things to have a hands on experience with - while having a mini animal area! A cheap 9$ entry for adults, its a smaller version of the San Francisco exploratorium!

A great place for a one off trip with the kids. Be prepared to pay for parking upon entry to the park before paying again to enter. The zoo is small but fun and the science exhibits are fun the first time, but arent updated periodically... which would detract from getting a membership.

I’m a wedding coordinator who had a wedding at CuriOdyssey. This is a very beautiful place for a unforgettable wedding. The view of the bay is amazing! All of our guests, including bride and groom— were impressed with the ambiance here. I would recommend CuriOdyssey to our couples.

This is a wonderful place for kids and parents to learn about nature and animals in the wild my kids have went there all through their childhood but this time we were there because my son had his wedding reception there and the way they set up the tables it was very beautiful

My 2 and 4 year old love this place. They have enough variety to keep them interested even coming back regularly. We also like to sit just outside of the main building, have a picnic, and watch the airplanes land at SFO. To any 2 year old, that alone is worth the trip.

I have loved taking my young child here for years. We love the exhibits and the animals. But the science classes are the best! My daughter has learned so much here, very hands on, age appropriate, great teachers, everything you could want.

Very detailed and exciting place for our children to go for school. Its like someone took one part zoo, one part exploriturm, a dash of good parking and garnished with a pleasant commute. I recommend, I think you will be satisfied.
