the most youll EVER pay to see a movie here (unless its 3D) is $2! if you show up on tuesdays or matinees, you can get even better deals. its the best place to see all of those movies youd never pay $8+ for elsewhere and the theaters are well maintained and have good sound systems. ive seen 1st run movies in plenty of crappier theaters. the last 3D movie i saw there cost me $3.50 i think (definitely under $4) which is the ADD ON one pays to see a 3D film at an $8 1st run theater! even their 3D upgrades are a bargain. ive seen a lot of films i otherwise wouldnt go to there and its convenient location right next to the food court makes for a simple & cheap day of fun. the biggest drawbacks would be that they pretty much only show blockbuster type films and not small run arthouse type fare, but if you dont watch those movies much either, theyll run almost anything you want to see sometimes in less than a week after 1st runs end. if a film is an huge hit like avatar, the smaller theaters can get pretty full too, especially in prime time, but for the price, what more could one ask for? just get there early for big hits.

Cinemark 17 is way more affordable than the Regal Cinema at Valley River. The difference in price between the two theaters is substantial: tickets are anywhere from 44 to 46% higher at Regal. Senior & child prices at Regal are $6.50, compared to only $4.50 at Cinemark 17. That is 44% more expensive than Cinemark 17! For Adults, Regal is $9.50 evening, and $7 matinees. At Cinemark 17, adults are only $6.50 evening, and $4.50 matinees. Again, that makes Regal 46% and 44% more expensive. You will really save a lot of money, by seeing films at Cinemark 17 instead. I should add that being an older brother does not make one a legal guardian of a minor. Taking underage children to R rated movies is not allowed without a parents permission. Theaters cannot violate these restrictions, so dont put any blame on them for the snafu. It is also very easy to sneak snacks into this theater. I do it all the time. Buying stuff from any movie theaters concessions stand is not at all a smart thing to do.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH "ASH" (THE DESTROYER) and "MR HUGO." TRIED TO ENJOY DEADPOOL BUT WAS RUDELY ASKED FOR ID AT THE BEGINING FROM EVERYONE WHICH WE DID PROVIDE. THEN WHEN ASKED FOR ID FOR MY LITTLE SISTER WHO IS 16- WAS NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER BECAUSE BEING 27 "ISNT" QUITE OLD ENOUGH TO BE A LEGAL / PARENT GAURDIAN OR ACCORDING TO MR HUGO A POWER OF ATTORNEY... WHICH IM COMPLETELY CONVINCED HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT ENTAILS. NEVERTHELESS, ASH THE DESTROYER STARTS YELLING AT US AND REFUSED TO GIVE HER NAME OR ESCALATE TO A MANAGER. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL / RUDE / NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED DID NOT EVEN TAKE IN HOW OLD EVERYONE ELSE ACTUALLY WAS... SO GLAD THEY WORE NAME TAGS, MADE FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT EASIER. FELT DEGRADED, DISCRIMINATED BY MR HUGO AND ASH THE DESTROYER WHO FAILED TO PROVIDE ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OR RESOLUTION TO THE ISSUE. IVE BEEN GOING TO THIS THEATER SINCE I WAS A KID AND WILL NEVER GO BACK.

I have a considerable amount of social anxiety. And honestly the new way seating is done stresses me out so bad. Ill never go back there. The person who sold me my ticket didnt bother to explain. She just looked at me like I was retarded when I hesitated to pick a seat without any explanation of sections or anything. Every theater ive ever been to is first come first serve. So I picked one at random and it was in the middle of two huge groups. Which surprise doesnt work for me. So I found a different seat that someone else had purchased. They came in and so I had move. Then worried about if this seat was taken the whole time I was there. I will never come back to this theater period.

When we arrived we were told that the heat in this (the movie we want to see) theater was out (mind you its about 30 degrees outside). I asked if there would be a discount... answer was no. Called to find out how long it would be until the heater was fixed and was told they did not know. Asked if this movie would be in the same theater tomorrow and told they didnt know. I am so frustrated with this experience. I would probably be more understanding and not be writing this review if someone had at-least taken the time to answer my questions. So, tonight, this theater got no business from us and we will be paying more at another theater tomorrow.

Now that Movies 12 is gone, this is the cheapest theater in town, and you get what you pay for. Ticket price is fair, and the staff is always friendly. I hate popcorn so I cant comment on the concessions, but from what Ive heard qpparently they have good snacks. My only real issue is with the theater seats; they never feel clean, always a bit grubby from years of spilled Coke and crushed popcorn. It is to be expected from a theater that old, I guess. This is the place to go if youre on a budget, but if youre looking for the best seat in town, Regal offers all that and more for a slightly higher ticket price.

I went today 6/14/17 to See Wonder Woman the 9:10am showing.....I picked my seat D10....and it was very dirty, butter, popcorn, food. I looked around and all the seats on my row had dirty napkins, food, sticky stuff on the seats. I told the Young Lady who takes the tickets, and asked if I could have another seat. She had someone come clean my seat...but he left all the other seats around me dirty! I was very uncomfortable during the whole movie..... If your going to have nice reclining seats you should at least keep them clean!! This had to be the mess from the night before...

Yes it is cheaper, but the theater is dirty, and the people who work there are unprofessional. The atmosphere is awful, as the seats are uncomfortable, and the movie screens are smaller than places like VRC. If you want to save $2.50 by going there that is your choice but, I am not going there again, seeing that when I asked to see the manager they simply said they did not do anything wrong and therefore are not going to get them. I then asked for their names and they refused to tell me them. Acting like that is unprofessional and really this place is not worth the money.

WAS the best theater in town. Inexpensive tickets, sound never up too loud. That was until they remodeled and put in so -called lounge seating that is great for neck cramps and cutting off circulation to your legs but nothing else. Never seen a theater pay money to DOWNGRADE before. You have to pick your exact seats and then sit through the advertising or stumble around trying to find them in the dark. Ruined my Star Wars experience. Someone gave us free tickets to this theater but once they run out we will be going to Regal where they still have comfortable seating.

The unemployed leaving reviews here are comical. Those of us that work absolutely LOVE the ability to reserve our spot ahead of time. Not to mention the new comfortable seating - sorry if youre having issues with your leg circulation being cut off by these new seats lets all hope youre writing this complaint from a doctors office (sincerely). Those of you that have an issue with spontaneous movie watching being all but gone - plan ahead! Oh and dont try to see a damn premiere film the day after it opened and expect the world to cater to you. Good riddance.
