A Great, Little Theater filled with Convenience, but little uniqueness Pros: Comfy seats with lots of leg room, either faux or leather seats, which are quite comfortable. Excellent sound and picture, no IMAX, but some of the rooms do have the updated/excellent XD sound, definitely worth the additional price of admission. It has always been quite clean and on the more empty/quiet side, which is great for an overall great experience. Easy access with lots to do before and after the movie due to the proximity to both Union Square and the very excellent Westfield Mall. This is my favorite theater I have been to. Nice, clean, great experience. Cons: This theater isnt very unique compared with the size and grandeur of the Metreon or the beautiful lobby at Van Ness. It is quite vanilla, but a great type of vanilla. Tips: Take public transit, like Bart or Muni. Easy access and no need to worry about parking. There is a parking garage on the back side of the mall, next to the Metreon. Great place to find parking. Taking an elevator to the theater is much quicker than riding the various escalators.

A SoMa resident since 1988, a self claimed Street Cruiser aka a wheelchair rider. Been to Metreon since first opened 1999, Moscone, AMC 1000 Van Ness theatre, Century Daly City and so far this Century theatre. on 4 Fl. inside Bloomingdale Mall. (Westfield shopping centre) is Best place for a local n loyal movie goer like me. Its more neat, organization, space overall layout n esp. at ticket counter area! Individual mini movie show places are roomy n comfy, better design for everyone and people with disabilities as well. Love the XD, access to nearby mall, cafe, shop n BART (Powell) right under the mall. Also multiple elevator access at rear entrance on 845? Mission opposite to public garage main exit. Century cinemas in San Francisco are located inside Westfield Mall but my biggest complain is that they dont get all the new movies and even if they do, they do not have enough show times so we usually end up going to AMC Metreon. I have yet to find a time when the theatre is full even for new movies. The theatres are clean and decent sized. There is also only one place to get popcorn/drinks/snacks and thats before your tickets are checked. Staff/service is pretty good so if you dont like rush and want good service, this is a good spot in contrast to AMC Metreon 16.

This is usually my second choice in movie theaters, mainly because of their movie selections. I go to the Metreon first. If all of the good movies are sold out, then I walk across the street to see a movie here. Plus side: There is a great selection of food in Westfield, so grab a bite before or after a show. You can find the fancier restaurants under the dome on the 4th floor, or you can go to the food court in the basement for a quick bite. The restrooms are always clean here too.

Clean, fast lines and comfortable seats. They also serve booze. And you cant forget the mini arcade, although sometimes most of the games are out of service. If the mall is closed you need to go through the Bloomingdales entrance on Mission St and up the elevators (only certain elevators are for the theater). Same for after your movie, you need to use those same elevators. If you try to leave through the mall there is only one other unlocked door.

I can smell the popcorn while Im shopping. I find movie theaters with their concession outside the actual theater to be bit annoying. Usually I like to go in, get our seats and then go out to get popcorn and a drink. Its a bit of a hassle to have to go in and out and remember your ticket stub and then head back into the theater. Theres more risk for spills. Since this is a newer theater, the seats are comfy and its pretty clean here.

This is my favourite theatre when it comes to more commercial movies. It is centrally located in SF inside one of my favourite malls in SF. It is also quite convenient because you have plenty of dinner options at the Dome area and also in the downstairs floor. It is muni accessible (like 4 lines) and the sound is perfect. It is a great option if you also want to go shopping before or after your movie.

They have revamped the seating beautifully. You choose your seat, which means you can purchase tix online in advance, avoiding the possibility of ending up in the front row for a popular movie. The chairs are all recliners that are spaced well and comfortable, no bumping elbows with a stranger. Also the rows are tiered so a 7 footer could be in front of you and not impede your view.

Century San Francisco Centre movie theater may be showing its age but its a terrific value. Early bird tickets are a steal. Though sill a bit high concessions are fairy priced for the industry; you wont be price gouged here. Theaters have comfortable leather seats and stadium seating. A decent variety of current films is sure to accommodate almost anyone.

This is one of my top three movie theaters in the city. The movies selection is pretty big always, conveniently located in the Westfield Center so easy access on Muni. Food court is really good and outside great restaurants where you can grab a bite before the movie. If you want to relax in a clean and updated theatre then this is the place.

Theres nothing too special about this movie theater. Although I do like how they handle the movie snacks. Its sort of like a cafeteria. You enter a section with a bunch of self serve options and then checkout at the end. I felt like that probably sped up the process a lot when it came to getting snacks before a show.

century 9 treats the movie screening public like cattle. they crowd you in these tight waiting lines and keep the lobby area stuffy. they watch you like a hawk and treat you in a curt and demeaning manner. if i didnt love those free movie screenings so much i would just blow off the whole deal.

Surprisingly not super expensive (just normal, at $12/ticket) or super crowded. This is a good, clean theater with a good movie selection if youre in the area. Otherwise, the parking situation is not worth it and your parking fee will end up costing more than the movie itself.

Clean theater. I like the fact its on the top floor. And yes you can smell the wonderful odor of popcorn...Fun! And they use real butter. Some people buy the pop corn here and walk across the street to the Metreon Theater. Thats because AMC doesnt use real butter.

OMG they now server beer, so it made watching movies even more fun. You are only allowed to buy a beer per person, but if you like to enjoy your beer while watching your movie, this are great news. The seats are comfortable and spacious.

Nice casual place to go with a friend or more. You get convenient location and nice not so crowded environment. You get the feel of being the center of attention with the cozyness of the theater which might be nice for a girlfriend.

Standard movie theater experience. Picture projection and sound quality are both first-rate and it has your standard movie snack items, but the theater doesnt have a lot of character or anything else to make it stand out.
