I worked at the Treehouse Cafe for 7 months during the busy period. After injuring myself at the work place I was then fired for taking a sick day and going to the hospital where I was diagnosed with a hernia. there were instances where I requested a sick day because I was Ill and feared for the health of the customers, I was told I had to come in anyways. I was repeatedly verbally abused by the management and my job was threatened multiple times. As a line cook and a dishwasher I noticed several unsafe conditions that threatened the safety of my fellow employees and the customers. One being the fact that they do not wash any of the lettuce, I had several salads sent back because they contained foreign matter, such as gravel or sand. Another big deal was that there was never any hot water, the temperature in the Auto Chlor dish sanitizer was never above 100 degrees f. the industry standard to properly sanitize food receptacles is no less than 140 degrees. anything under that runs the risk of transmitting food born disease. there was no proper ventilation and the workplace was scorching hot all year round, and on several occasions the drains clogged, flooding the kitchen with gray water, which I believe was a symptom of the water being too cold. My tips were repeatedly withheld and after my injury at the work place my employer lied to Labor and Industries about the injury in an attempt to stop my claim. This restaurant is a terrible place to work and I would never eat there again because of sanitation hazards and the way that the employees are treated.

Treehouse has become a regular hangout for many of the "starving" writers and other creatives on the island. They serve great coffee, yummy bagels, and a killer spinach salad. And if it is date night and you want a gourmet pizza that is handcrafted and does NOT taste like cardboard...this is the place! Beer, wine, and friendly servers await. Early hours are conducive to coffee and cocoa outings with the kids but those who are looking for a quick bite forgo the pizza if you are expecting Dominos. Go for the simpler fare. But adults will love the sandwiches and salads and appetizers. They even have a few gluten free options!

My mom and I ate there with our friend from Special Olympics in late August for lunch. Even though we are not a big fan of green peppers, we enjoyed the pizza that had green peppers. It was one of the best pizza we had in a long time. We will plan on stopping here the next time we come over that way.

Nice long bar and large area to sit to enjoy drinks. About 8 beers on tap and several others available in bottle. They have a pool table too for additional entertainment. Seems like it could a cool place for live music but am not sure if they do that here.

Better than average bar fare with a decent beer selection, this is a neighborhood bar in the upwardly mobile Lynnwood Town Center of Bainbridge. Its a great stop on a bike ride around the island is youre coming over from Seattle for a day of riding.

Great family pizza restaurant that also offers pool tables and occasional live music for the grown-ups. Friendly, efficient service and good beer on draft. Good for coffee on the weekends also, when its popular with the cycling crowd.

Hummus was thick and dry - veggies were fresh but not cut to portion size - hot roast beef sandwich was the worst, white/gray meat, dry overcooked bread. Previously I have had salads and pizza here, mediocre food at best.

The folks here are very hospitable to bikers, runners, dogs, and the like. Very important in this south end Bainbridge Island restaurant. Decent food and decent prices as well. Glad they are still here!!

Very good pizza (try the Lynnwood) and salads. The prices run a little high for the not-so-labor-intensive grub, IMHO; but hey, this is Bainbridge Island. Service is spotty. Gets very busy.

As well as great food and a friendly atmosphere, Treehouse Cafe has an excellent art exhibit which changes every month. One more reason to make this your cafe stop of choice.
