I have been to most of the Loudoun County wineries and this is one of the most memorable. The proprietor is the one serving the wine and his passion and enthusiasm are infectious. Also, rather than selling bottles of wine, they sell boxes (and soon, pouches) of wine which hold more and cost less than bottles. Along with wine, they also have an Elderberry tea which can easily be mixed with the wine to make a great spritzer. The setting is inside an old barn, so its a bit rustic and I really enjoyed interacting one-on-one with the owner/wine maker/mixologist.

OMG! We went to several vineyards and found nothing we liked. The last vineyard recommended Village. We were a bit skeptical at first since the wine is in pouches. We get there, and ITS THE BEST WINE I HAVE HAD!!!! I like fruit and sweet wines. And the elderberry syrup!!!! The gentleman who poured for us was such a great guy! Polite, friendly and just great customer service. I am definitely a permenant customer and will be back. Oh, did I mention each pouch is equivalent to 4 bottles (750 ml)!!!!!

This is not your typical winery. Sure there are some normal red wines, but it is all about the fruit wines and elderberry syrup and vinaigrette. We enjoy going there just to get away from the crowds of places like Stone Tower. The owner truly enjoys what he does and loves talking to everyone that comes in. My personal favorite thing there is the tabby barn cat that is missing half his tail.

Have been getting my wine here for years, but this past Oct I purchased 6 boxes of apple wine - all were bad - boxes expanding - wine tasted like bad apple cider - very yeasty. Was promised a refund - that was over 1 month ago. Luckily I disputed 4 of the purchases charged, but the other two were a cash purchase. No return calls from them. NOT GOOD BUSINESS ETHICS!

I second the elderberry, That alone is reason enough to stop here. The owner reminds me of Paul James from "gardening by the yard" in both appearance and personality. Come here for the charming town and vineyard and enjoy the great tasting simple wine. They also sell the Elderberry as a syrup mixed with chocolate great topping.

Found this cute little winery Sunday while out for a drive... very friendly, and all the wines were very tasty.. Ended up buying 3 boxes 2 reds and 1 white, I do not normally drink reds but I found these very nice and light, not heavy.. I will be back to visit and buy more for the summer months... Great winery a must to visit!

Had a great visit with the winemaker yesterday. This was our first visit to Village. The wines were better than average, and the Viognier was much better; wonderful nose and good acidity. We also bought some elderberry syrup. They do good things with fruit. Dont forget to say hello to the cow and the goats.

Cute little tasting room and a couple of resident cuddly cats! The wines were good, and although they tasted a bit young, they have a lot of promise. Love the environmentally responsible wine boxes vs. glass and the proprietor is super friendly.

We went out to about 6 or so wineries over the weekend. The Village was by far the best! The wine tasted great and is sold in 3-liter bags. They also sell a vingerette dressing which is amazing. Must stop on a wine tour!

Nothing special about the place. The staff is friendly but the wines are nothing to get excited about.

Cool elderberry tea and vinegrette. The wine was okay but not stellar. All reds, no whites.
