Went with friends to this winery. The wine we had at the winery was good. We bought bottles to take home. The wine we took home was bad, tasted like vinegar. Our friends also bought wine and theres was bad too. I emailed them from their own website to ask them if by chance there was a bad batch. I was never given any response. I am giving them the one star probably more for the bad customer service than the bad wine.

Fairly close to the Richmond West End. Easy and scenic drive. Very welcoming tasting room. No food is served or is available. They do have some snacks. Excellent place for a picnic and a good glass of wine. They do have good wines. The patio has firepits and chairs as well as tables. Plenty of space to bring your own chair. Pet-friendly, small parking area but parking is not an issue. Very pretty property.

Byrd is a cozy, friendly, family owned vineyard. We love to sit outside in the fall by the fire pit & listen to music and star gaze. Their White Cat & Apple Concord wines are two of my favorite. Bring a picnic and stay awhile.
