My mom, boyfriend, and I visited on Sunday and the experience was very pleasant. Though the tasting room is nothing special, the outdoor space and views from the tasting room windows are a huge amenity. We began with a tasting ($8) which came with three white samples and three red samples, plus three food pairings. The food pairings- locally sourced cheeses and a Virginia Chutney Company spread- were a particularly nice touch! The young lady pouring (Paige) was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and fun. Her attitude and demeanor were copacetic with the rest of the staff. After the tasting, we enjoyed live music on the patio overlooking the vineyard and the Blue Ridge Mountains. A signboard in the tasting room indicated that there is frequently live music and events at the winery.

Fox Meadow is our hands down favorite winery in Virginia. Dan and Cheryl have done an amazing job of creating superb wines. I discovered this mountain top gem over 7 years ago and have been going there every time I could get home. Now that we are living locally again, my wife make a trip up Freezeland road at least once a month. The mountain views from their deck coupled with an approachable and down to earth staff and of course a great glass of wine makes this a winery a "must do" for all!

The winery, wines and the views are pretty enough. BUT, consider that the owners policies (through their operations chief) are hostile generally to consumers, (especially their best ones, members of their wine club); they misrepresent things; and are not willing make amends for their mistakes/misrepresentations, except at continued customer expense. There are much friendlier places to go. AVOID, and especially avoid joining their wine club and its hidden conditions and terms!

I tasted the wines of Fox Meadow for the first time at the American Wine Society Conference in Virginia and was very impressed. The reception was pouring hundreds of wines and the barrel fermented chardonnay stood our as one of the best wines in the room. It was very Montrachet like, even having a minerality that is not often seen in US chardonnays. I plan on pouring it for all my wine loving friends.

Awesome experience!! I got the wine tasting for $8 for me & my husband. It comes with 3 whites, 3 reds and small food tastings as well. I also got 2 extra wine tastings for no extra charge & I ended up buying a bottle of one of them. Nice location, relaxing atmosphere & great customer service. Would definitely recommend :)

Beautiful setting, smooth and soothing wines, calm beauty of the mountains. Just a few of the outstanding qualities youll find here. One of the best wineries to visit, by far. Have a bottle and some cheese and crackers for a unique wine experience.

Loved the little food pairings with the tasting, and their souvenier wine glasses you can buy are actually VERY nice! Good wine, and yummy snacks, very bright and clean. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be back as soon as I can!

Beautiful view from the deck. Wines were mostly dry but all very good. They do food parings with some of the wines that were excellent.
