Let me start by saying I take BBQ seriously coming from Texas! I ordered a combo plate with brisket, ribs, potato salad, and fried okra. The brisket was very good and tender with a great flavor. The ribs were probably one of my favorites Ive ever had. The okra was seasoned just right. The potato salad I saved for last, but it was my favorite thing I had. It is sour cream based so you avoid the argument between mustard and mayo. I could eat a large plate of it alone. They have a wonderful selection of local and craft beers from all over and the guy behind the bar has some great recommendations. I will definitely return!

My family visited the murky Waters restaurant on a Tuesday when they opened at 11. Seth, a waiter, recommended the garlic parmesan wings and the burnt tips platter. We ordered both plus a chicken nugget kids meal. You get 2 sides with the platter. We chose the Cole slaw and the potato salad. Everything we ordered was delicious. Tori, our server was awesome. She was friendly, prompt, and our entire order was perfect and came out in less than 10 minutes. The atmosphere is nice, too. They have clean facilities, a good music selection, and the tables arent too close together. It was an all around great lunch experience.

The food wad anazing and portion but our server could not handle a party our size. She took our drink order but one oerson asked for a menu, the bartender brought over a number of them and when that person was ready to order she said she would take after our food order because it would be easier. The bartender ended uo taking the order. Waitress forgot the greens for person another was missing her fried okra, she brought us our while we were still eating as well as clearing the table, our bbq setup was taken and also the drink because they ran out. I would definitely come if waitress didnt wait on us!

Had lunch on the 4th there. Service was good, nice selection of beers, neat place. The BBQ is plain, burnt ends were OK, ribs just better than that nicely seasoned although very tough. Chopped pork was not good, seemed microwaved, sausage seemed to be bologna ring sliced and pan fried, not smoked. "smoked" wings were just wings, the spicy BBQ sauce they were covered in wasnt spicy. Sides were OK, probably best thing to it. Between two apps, four meat combo, a two meat for the GF, two beers a Titos w/soda, and tip I shelled out $90. Not worth it, wont return.

Great BBQ and great people in a nice atmosphere. We had a half rack of ribs, a burnt ends sandwich, slaw and baked beans. The ribs were dry rub heaven. Smoky and delicious. The burnt ends were exactly as advertised and delicious. A little more fatty than I like, but that is a matter of opinion. The baked beans were world class. Bits of BBQ "debris" in them, great balance. The slaw was a perfect cool/sweet counterpoint. The selection of sauces could be better. But if you like dry rub bbq, you will love Murky Waters! We will be back many times!!!

I cant understand the great reviews. The food was mediocre at best. I had the ribs and chicken. The chicken tasted baked with some smoke flavor. The ribs were tough. The service was real slow. GF had shrimp. When asked why our food was taking so long, we were told shrimp take longer cook....yep. Also, just as a warning, they pipe a smoky scent through the air; your clothes will smell like smoke until you throw them in the wash.

Very generous portions. I have seldomly ever had to ask for a to go box but they gave enough food to need one. The lighting is a bit dim so its kind of hard to read the menu, but its a bar/blues house style so... Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Food is amazing! Probably some of the best brisket, ribs, and fried okra Ive ever had. Sauce is real good. I cant express how great this food is. Cant wait to come back.

Just awful. Found cigarette butts in our food. The manager prententiously tried to say we put them there to get a meal comped and threatened to call the police on us. I was appalled at how he handled the ordeal. Food wise, this place is sub par and over priced. You are better off gowing elsewhere. The cigarettes in the baked beans makes them a little too smokey for my taste.

I got the pick 3 and it was insultingly small portions for the price. The chicken was less than the amount on a thigh. There were only four wings and six small slices of sausage (maybe half a link). All for $20. I also found part of a steel wool pad in my sides. All in all an insulting experience. I do not mind paying the known high prices for bbq but this was ridiculous.

Ordered the pulled pork which I always judge pre-sauce and unfortunately it was a little dry. With sauce, it was delicious! Normally I wouldve only given 3 stars but the large selection of sides and draft beers bumped this up to a 4. Also, when we first walked in, it smelled great, only making our mouths water for that first bite.

First time in Gulfport- found restaurant on line. Place looks nice and fun but waitress was obviously new and was more concerned with friends coming to visit. The worst part was I love brisket and was extremely disappointed in the. Brisket served to me. Very tough not the melt in your mouth I am use to.

We sat down at 6. Didnt get our food until after 8. Wasnt a large crowd, just a Thursday night. Waitress was friendly. But the prices were crazy high for the amount of food we all got. Their wings were pretty small too. The sausage poboy was a joke. Overall wasnt very satisfied

Delicious BBQ!! Love the smoked flavor of the meat!! My favorite is the pulled chicken with Sweet BBQ sauce and Onion Rings! My husbands favorite is the clarksdale and burt end sandwich with fried okra!! All of their food is great so you really cant go wrong when you order here!!

Great atmosphere, BBQ was the best Ive had form this area! The burnt ends were to die for! Only 3 sauces to choose from. I prefer my ribs overcooked, but the flavor is there! Its a must visit if down in Gulfport, Mississippi. If you dont go, you failed at life. So do it!

Came in solo as a tourist. Welcoming staff beer selection is above average. Could use more local summer brews. Too many local stouts. Food was amazing. Get the Murky Waters Sandwich. Wish they would have payed more blue music. Would come here again for sure.

Had sliced brisket, potato salad, and Cole slaw. Food was good. Atmosphere was bland. Service was OK at best. Price was very high for what you get...I am from out of town so not sure if there is a reason for the high price (tourist attraction nearby?).

The BBQ sampler alone makes the drive worth it. Best ribs (even better than Sonnys)! Make sure you try out a friday night when they have live blues, but you better come in the to get a seat. It really packs out sometimes. Outdoor seating in back too.
