Ive grew up with this theater so of course I love it. It gives you a vintage feel and I never feel like Im screwed over. The prices are great. Ive been to many theaters in NC and this is by far my favorite. Whenever I want to see a movie, I always check Mission Valley first before any other theaters. Please never change Mission Valley, you are perfect how you are and commercial theaters suck :) Love, Logan Oh and one more thing, I just read someones review and they said all our reviews are jokes.. That is Bullsh*t because why would we say all that stuff if we didnt mean it. These people obviously LOVE Mission Valley. And no, this theater does not need to be updated and turned into a commercial gross plague of nothing. It would totally ruin the vintage and unique atmosphere. Also Mission Valley always decorates beautifully for holidays and special movie events. So if youre into big commercial chain businesses then maybe this isnt the theater for you. So dont wine about it when there are other theaters you can go to.

Weve been going to Mission Valley every other week or so for nearly 15 years. The theatre is well kept-up, clean, and has big screens, great sound systems, and has that neighborhood feel. Its not crowded, the atmosphere is mellow, and the beer on tap makes it all the better. Prices are still the best in town for a first-run theatre. All these are hefty points in its favor, but the real advantage Mission Valley has over all the other multiplexes is its staff: they are friendly and approachable, they like their jobs and have a great esprit de corps, and they remember their customers. They also love movies and dont mind making reccomendations or talking about whats on offer. If you havent been to Mission Valley, give it a try. If you have been to Mission Valley, then you know how good it is. Spread the word. Places like this deserve to stay on long after the multiplexes fail and leave.

4/22/17. Went with some friends to watch beauty and the beast and more than 3/4 way into the movie the projector actually fell down. Movie was pitch black playing just sound. We had to go get someone to fix it which burned 3 minutes of the movie. After the movie we ask the front desk to refund us in some way because we didnt get what we paid for. This kid pointed out the "manager" (jacob) standing around. We couldnt spot because he was wearing regular clothes like a customer would. Once we ask who he was we explained what happned and asked for a refund. He was nasty and didnt apologize for the incident telling us "it was only down for 30 seconds and you stayed for the whole movie so". Place was terrible and freaking dump. I wanted to punch that little kid in his jaw.

I always enjoy date nights at this theatre. They offer a nore than decent selection of beers and have all the traditional snacks youd expect. Its an affordable theatre compared to some of the higher end ones in the triangle. You can usually getvout of there spending around $25 for 2 tickets and 2 beers. They sometimes screen episodes of popular tv shows which is always a good time. The theatre is also in close location to Ruckus pizza where you can get tasty, greasy New York style big slice pizza by the slice and Schoolkids records who carry an awesome selection of both new and vintage records. Schoolkids also serves beer! Date night complete!

Better prices than big chain theaters. Not as high quality atmosphere (seating, lobby, bathrooms, staff), but if that saves me $2-3 off ticket price as well as concession prices it is well worth it. The only reason I go to movie theaters at all is because the sense of immersion into the film that comes from watching movies on a giant screen in a dark room without any distractions is difficult to recreate elsewhere. Mission Valley Cinema absolutely meets that standard for immersion that I desire. As a bonus, their seats are like spring loaded rocking chairs!

Anyone who goes to big, corporate monster-plexes is missing out. Locally owned, clean, no crying children, beer, they allow coffee from next door Cup Of Joes. I cannot emphasize how much better it is to go to Mission Valley and the owners other theater, The Rialto at Five Points. Neither of these excellent movie palaces is EVER overrun with annoying teens dropped off by parents who need a cheap babysitter. Support deserving local business. If this place ever goes out of business, I will go to the movies A LOT less.

My favorite movie theater in the Triangle. Its got character - this isnt the newest theater but thats ok because the tickets arent expensive and the movies look and sound the same as they do anywhere else. They have several beers on tap, and concession prices are the cheapest Ive seen in Raleigh. They host free live showings of The Walking Dead episodes, as well as other free movies and series. No pressure to buy anything to get into the free showings either.

The theatre is cheap and the popcorn is fresh and the beer is cold. Movies start on time which is a plus. Yea, its a little run down and sometimes not entirely spotless, but its still got that classic feeling of being at the movies and its a real community viewing atmosphere at this particular venue. Oh but they dont have wine, just beer because of their license, which although I understand liquor laws is still kind of a bummer for non-beer drinkers.

I absolutely LOVE this theater. My husband and I have taken my 3 year old son here several times and it has always been a great experience. Very reasonable ticket prices and on top of that they have a draft beer list that rivals most restaurants (also very reasonably priced). Staff is kind and courteous, seats are comfy, and all other accommodations are nice. Also, though idk if its a good thing for them, its never too crowded when weve been there.

I like going to this theater a lot since their prices are so affordable! Matinée prices for all showings until 5pm everyday. Freshly popped popcorn and a variety of beers on tap! Soda too... The only real issue I have ever had there are the seats. They are in need of a major overhaul! I feel they could use an upgrade in screens too yet with the prices as they are... I dont hold much hope and I dont mind so much! I keep going back.

This place will make you want to go to the movies again. Cheap tickets, cheap beer (and a good selection especially since they expanded to 12 taps), and cheap popcorn. What more could you want from a cinema? On opening nights they have great crowds who are a lot of fun, and most other nights are not very busy. So whether you like a nice quiet movie date or dressing up for your favorite openings, this is the place to go.

I worry about this place. Its considerably cheaper than all theaters in the area (both the tickets and the concessions) but whenever I come here, its nearly empty The movie viewing experience here is certainly no worse than a chain theatre. It may be better depending on how much you value stadium style seating. Still, this will be the only theatre i go to until I have no choice
