Clearwater Country Club sandwiched my 10:31 GolfNow tee time into the middle of an 8:30 shotgun. When I got to the course at 9:45, I counted 10 carts on Hole #2. We (two-some) checked in and I asked the clerk if they’d had a shotgun. “Yep. 36 golfers in the shotgun and 20 others.” My friend and I got to Hole#1 at 10:28 and Don, the starter (who I found sitting at a patio table) said we were early (3 minutes!). He then let a 90-year-old woman and 2 boys tee off in front of us. He said that group had just finished #10-#18 and "would only be in front of us for the first 9 holes." Turned out, the group in front of those 3 were also sandwiched in between the shotgun groups. Our round took almost 5 hours. When I buy a tee time on GolfNow, I expect the course to be clear of shotguns and other events, or its deceptive selling. Don said Clearwater has been doing these "modified shotguns" for 15 years, and "the course is still popular", but that is because it is next to the beach and mostly tourists go there. NO one comes back. The course is poorly maintained, lots of dead bare areas in fairways. There were no marshalls and the group in front would not let us play thru, despite 2 holes in front of them being empty. Clearwater CC is selling HotDeal teetimes to GolfNow and not honoring them by running shotgun tournaments at the same time, as a means increase golf course revenue and to draw unsuspecting new customers from other legitimately-run courses who honor their tee times. GolfNow allows this course to sell its tee times yet hold shotguns simultaneously.

Place sucked. On vacation I wanted to get a round in. This course was the closest to my hotel so just went with it. Rented clubs that were older then me, no driver just a 50 year old 1 iron. Course was worse then my clubs. Greens were trash. My cab driver warned me the course was garbage an I should have listened. Do yourself a favor, if youre in Clearwater on vacation and want to experience a good Florida course, go anywhere but Clearwater country club

My friend took my to this Golf Course and we choose to go to the Driving Range. The two of us split a small bucket of golf balls which was actually allot even for the two of us and was around five dollars. Im not much of a Golfer, but the Driving Range was decent and I really enjoyed it. There was a little bit of a walk to get to, but non the less it felt good and I was able to smoke without bothering anyone. Five Stars all the Way!

Really good course. Ive played there twice in the last 6 weeks, and I have to say that helps with understanding the layout and making a more enjoyable experience. Hidden water hazards from the tee box view made my first round a few shots higher than my second. Interesting layout with back to back par 5s and well placed sand traps. Give it a try and I think youll like it.

My wife and I were looking for a place to get in 18 holes while on vacation. Typically we can play 18 in 2:45.. Not here. Not many people playing, but slow slow slow. 4 hours. Fairways were extremely wet, first cut very long. Guy mowing the fairway ran over my wifes ball. Not that he couldnt see the OPTIC RED Volvik on the green fairway. Would not play again.

I play this course often. They keep the course groomed and putting surfaces pretty well manicured. The price is very competitive for its size. I have played other smaller courses in bad conditions for more money. Its typically a good day had by all. I hope to play here for another 15 years. See you here soon.

I went to a wedding here and the place was a dump. I didnt play the course but I could see trash and poor maintenance around the facility. The banquet hall was trashy and the food was the worst. I am glad it was not my wedding because I probably would have cancelled it on the spot.

Really good value for the area. Its a small course, somewhat tight. Pace of play can be a bit slow at times, but its a short enough course that it doesnt make the round terribly long in the end. Greens are really decent for the price you pay.

Seriously the worst golf experience that I have had ever. The course is so poorly maintained that I had to call it quits after holes. I spent over $100 to end up wishing I never came. I am on my way to try another one around here.

Crazy owner. Completely rude, dismissive, and honestly boarder line psycho with his paranoid delusions. Place is small, run down, and definitely in need of a revamp ASAP. Save yourself the trouble and go to Countryside.

Such a slow course. Several holes we had to wait for five or more carts full of people. Took us 6 1/2 hours to play 18. Over four hours for the first 9. They clearly book too many golfers on this sub par course.

Course conditions were OK. Seemed like the tee times were too close together as the course back up after a few holes. Greens were nice.

Fun course - great grounds-keeping - If you are looking for a great 18 hole round of golf, I definitely suggest it.
