I recently stayed at the Norwalk Marriott the week of January 27th for a business trip. Our company has always held the Marriott chain above and beyond most other hotels. Unfortunately, I did not share this experience. As I checked in, I noticed that the carpet in the lobby was soaking wet and there were buckets on the floor to catch the drips in the ceiling which was occurring on much of the first floor. When I checked into my room, I found that the carpet was also wet near the window and around the bed. I asked to be transferred to a different room and was given a handicapped room across the hall. The way the shower was set up (although I am sure it is an acceptable shower for its intended purpose) caused the entire bathroom to get wet, including the one and only towel I was provided. The next morning, I asked if I could be switched again and was told that it was not a handicapped room in the system. I politely disagreed since it had no bathtub and handrails, and they finally agreed that when I returned from my conference, I would have a new room. When I returned, a different receptionist told me that I was in the same room and there was no record that I had requested a change. When they found a room that was clean I went in and the carpet was wet, just as it was in the first. I went back downstairs and they found me a room that did not have water damage. I overlooked the wallpaper peeling off the walls, the dirty stained carpet, and the unlabeled knobs on the heater because I was tired of constantly switching rooms. Missing fire alarms, half used bottles of shampoo, and locks that didn’t work were a few additional things that came up during my stay. I was shocked to hear that there was a grand reopening that week, as I cannot imagine wanting to show a hotel in that condition. With the high level of standards that are held at other Marriott hotels, I was very disappointed with my stay. The area that the hotel is located does not have many other options, but if this is the best of the worst, than I would be afraid to see the others.

Checked in at 10:00 pm night manager was rude and condescending. Instead of welcoming me, he just demanded a drivers license. After verifying we were diamond members the manage informed me I could not use the credit card on file because my husband was not right beside me. When I explained I had just driven seven hours and my kids and I were exhausted and my husband was flying in later and we had never had an issue like this before, he Arrogantly informed me he did not care what other Hilton properties have done...at this hotel if my husband was not with me I was not allowed to use the credit card we had made the reservation with even if my husband would be at the hotel later. So if you are more interested in a room than good customer service and you like being greeted after a long drive by a manager who has the customer service skills of a disgruntled bouncer at a low class night club than this is the place for you. Will never come back here!

Ive stayed in hotels in 3rd world countries. This hotel is by far the worst experience, especially since its under Hilton. The designs and layouts in their lobby is a huge contrast to what you will be presented in the room. AC gives out a smell. Reading from a previous post by a Hilton employee here, it is described to be mildew. Whatever it is, it is horrid. 4 more nights of torture for me. The wifi connection is laughable too. I get disconnected every 5-10mins on my laptop, iPhone and android. I am baffled to see the 4 star rating. If there is any positives at all, it is their staffs. But they can only do so much for my night sleep. I should have gone with Marriott. Update from 2nd night: Regular tv isnt working. Wifi signal is close to none on level 4. Told front desk about wifi, but was told in return to work at business center with my laptop. You will be better off staying at motels or AirBnB.

Stayed for one night. Last Saturday went up to Los Angeles for wife B-Day celebration. The lobby is clean it is nice. The hallway were clean but in need of upgrades. In the room it was clean but room is in need of upgrades. The mattress was comfy. TV working, no mini fridge, no microwave. The bathroom was in bad shape. Air flow vent is really dirty needs urgent cleaning. Wallpaper patched up bad. Tile base cracked and needs grout, sink faucet really old plus the cold water side leaks on countertop. The wood piece scratched.toilet work good. I liked the shower tub. Big and clean. Wall AC unit work good. Room521. free parking

Loved the hotel, but the restaurant currently has a "B" rating from the county health department due to major violations. I ordered the salmon (before I knew this fact...), and it definitely tasted a little "off." The color was almost white (no pink whatsoever), and I couldnt even stomach it. I stopped eating, and left the meal. The next day I saw the health dept rating... That explains a lot. I have free vouchers to eat breakfast there in the morning, but I will definitely NOT be eating there! Yuck! Clean up your act, Doubletree! We expect better.

We stayed here only by default as we had to change our hotel due to a flight change. We didnt want to wake up even earlier to leave disney area. Since it was spring break the hotels were full, we used points. I feel like there are no benefits from being platinum members when checking into holiday inns like there used to be. We have family low standards, so this property isnt horrible but wouldnt be my first reccomendation. The low point value has us coming back and the convenience to LAX.

For such an expensive hotel, I was very disappointed. The bathroom faucet did not work. There was filthy, grimy residues on the shower head and handles. Also, a huge gap between the granite tile and where the plumbing went into the wall. Upon closer examination of the bathroom door, I could see it was whitewashed and patched, with the repair material still visible underneath. Im going to request another room tomorrow and hope that they will give it to me.

Em geral, a qualidade do hotel está acima da média dos demais Doubletree onde eu me hospedei. Quartos novos. Estacionamento cortesia. Boa localização entre LA e Anheim e relativamente perto do aeroporto.

I am absolutely impressed how well I was greeted when I got there. Staff was very friendly and SO helpful. I was traveling from Texas so I had a rental, long story short the car would not turn on the next day and I did not know what to do. Front desk was so kind to help me jump start my car with their own jumper cables. If only knew the members name who helped me. Thank you so much front desk clerks!!!

First and foremost, this is my home away from home. I am always treated with the Ut most respect. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are always clean, in fact the while property is very clean and if you need anything at all from house keeping or the front desk they are always willing to help with a smile. Everyone is exceptional. The pool and Jacuzzi are nice and clean as well.
