Overall: 4/5 stars. Improvements to car access and cell service would bump this to 5 stars. Great access via public transportation with Trax. Average access via car on busy days (like a football game day.) Average amenities. Beautiful views of the valley. The tower is a beautiful complex with amazing views of the Salt Lake Valley. Overview: Rice-Eccles stadium has a great history of housing big events and doing a reasonable job of accommodating 45,000+ people. As of this review, upgrades are being made to the sound and video boards for an even better experience. When the stadium is filled, cell service is pretty terrible. Access to the stadium is comparatively average if arriving by car on busy days. Plan on an half an hour to an hour to park and arrive on a game day. If possible, take trax to the stadium to avoid waiting. The stadium is not overly large and the structure itself is simple and well designed for walking around. The university has recently expanded the restrooms and drinking fountain amenities for handling larger crowds. There are the typical vendor stalls that sell food and souvenirs during games. These arent cheap, expect typical stadium fare and prices. The seats are raked at a decent incline, and all seats give a decent view of the field. Avoid the east side of the stadium during the day, as the suns glare is in your eyes. The stadium tower is a great venue for parties, conferences, etc. The higher levels provide an amazing view over both the playing field and the Salt Lake Valley.

My first game at the U 0f U stadium was my last. I am disabled with MS (MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS) and found it very difficult to manage myself threw the stadium, because every single person that worked there had no knowledge about simple things like, where do I pick the shuttle bus up after the game. Sadly enough to say that I was sitting on the west side of the stadium and was told by one of the workers, that I would be able to get back by waiting at the original place the shuttle dropped me off at. Well after the game I walked to the east side which was the side I was told to take, I found out shortly after that, that was where the shuttle bus dropped me off at and it was the wrong side for getting a shuttle ride back to crimson #3 parking. Honestly I was really upset when I seen how well the able were catered to and the disabled had to work a lot harder to get around there. I didnt understand why the university would place their own crimson tide club parking closer than the handy capped parking, It helped me to realize how priorities are thought of regardless from right and wrong. I have a great idea of how they train the workers there and how their establishments being ran, and I had a lot of higher expectations before but now I was let down once I had my first visit during the stanford game. I know if they would make it easier to come and go for the disabled I would return. Most importantly better accommodations and a little compassion for the disabled or elderly would be awesome.

Rice Eccles Statium- Home of the University of Utah Utes! This stadium is clean and fairly updated. Plenty of choices for concessions both of the stadium variety and independant food businesses. Bathrooms are always clean but the traffic for the ladies room can get dicey at certain times during the games. There are also a few small team stores on sight to pick up any last minute team gear, ranging in price from $ - $$. There a first aid stations with trained medical staff. Also, there are plenty of local law enforcement on sight. I consider it to be a fairly safe venue for sporting events. They perform bag checks upon entering the staduim and that gives me adequate piece of mind. The recently installed giant big screen is such a huge improvement!

I have been here many times supporting my Utes! The stadium is clean and easy to get around. I like that they have all the food carts on the south end and the food overall is very good for a college stadium. I have been to many different stadiums throughout the country and Rice-Eccles will need to expand a little but is on pace to be one of the top eventually. Tracks goes right to the stadium and the tailgating on the south end is really fun with excited fans. I have never heard mormon bashing at a game, this is such a stupid thing to say from people. Its like the legend of max hall will never die, ha ha. Games are fun, food is great, go enjoy football!!

Increased funding from 2002 Olympics and membership in the Pac-12 has made this a pretty nice place to watch a football game. Nice views of the mountains--few settings as pretty as here; on the smaller, more intimate side for a P5 school, and generally nice people--maybe a little less so if BYU is in town; make this a great place to watch a football game. Great proximity to public transit (Trax). Check out the Olympic Cauldron past the south end zone. Impressive to see the sold out crowd all in red.

Not only is this the best place to watch a college football game on an autumn Saturday, but its also great for other events like motocross and weddings. The food options on game day are meh, but the other accommodations have gotten much better since they added extra restrooms. Its extremely convenient to get here via public transportation (TRAX red line), but parking is not great. Expect a walk.

First of all I loved taking trax up to the stadium. Stepping out on the pavement reveals a towering stadium with banners and beautiful red rock pillars. The stadium itself is clean, well designed and easy to navigate. The atmosphere was one of excitement and the fans were friendly. In my seat I could see the populated Salt Lake valley below and the mountains above. Great place for a game!

Really great venue to catch a game (coming from a fan of that team down south). Great view of either the city or the mountains when your eyes arent on the field, nice atmosphere and easy access by public transit. Were spoiled with some really great (if not obscenely large) stadiums in Utah.

I feel like they generally keep it fairly clean, I do however think they should have more/larger restrooms. I understand that during an event like a game or concert that waiting in line in pretty much inevitable, but dang I waited close to 10 minutes to take a piss last time I was here!

This place holds great events and they are done well. The security is top notch, luckily for the BYU fans, and nosebleeds are not bad. They have the new screen and sound system and it really adds to the experience. If you have not attended an event here it is a must.

The stadium has great views all around. The east side gets excellent sunset views. Although some seats in the South end cannot see the replay screen. A situation I hope is remedied in the screen and audio system upgrade due next year.(2016)

Its very well laid out & well staffed. The views are increadible. The stadium is sturdy. I feel safe in the stands. They plan really well for events and security is decent too. The TRAX train stop makes access really easy as well.
