My husband and his father attended an AZ Cardinals game yesterday. The tickets were purchased as a gift for his father for his birthday a few months back. On Friday my husband had to have unexpected knee surgery and was told he must use crutches for the next week or so and not weight bear on his right knee. We thought for sure there would be no issues and that he could be seated somewhere that could be accessed despite having the crutches. Sadly when they got to the stadium no one directing traffic to parking facilities could tell them where the handicapped parking was. They drove around for 15 minutes trying to find the handicapped parking. They were hurriedly shoved along and not directed properly. Once they got to the stadium guest services, nor security could get my husband a wheelchair or seat my husband and his father in an area that was handicap accessible. His original seats were 17 flights of stairs up a very narrow stairway. He asked countless individuals for assistance to sit "anywhere" but up those stairs. He was told no countless times and that "there was nothing they could do". My husband even asked one of the folks in guest services "Do you expect me to try climbing the stairs to my assigned seat and risk falling and injuring myself" They literally replied "yes". I work as a registered nurse and I am appalled that such a facility could get away with treating him like this. They had a miserable experience having to stand "with crutches" half the game then eventually hopping on one leg up 17 flights of stairs to his seat. My husband and his dad came home exhausted and informed us of the miserable experience they had. No one in that stadium would help them. At the very least get a folding chair for him. I have no idea how this stadium is going to handle the Superbowl. They are in no way prepared. Mind you the mobile website has absolutely no information or directions for guests with special needs. This stadium is a poor example of a public facility and I feel sorry for those who are disabled or have even temporary handicaps when attending events here.

Very gorgeous stadium. I love the surrounding bars, stores, that are within the vicinity of the stadium. But what blew my mind is that during the Super Bowl festivities every where in Arizona that actually is decent isnt on the west side of Tolleson. That place is dirty. Ive been to Iraq and Afghanistan and thats pretty much how it is outside the stadium area. If you go to Arizona, I recommend you stay near Scottsdale or like near downtown Phoenix. Oh, and the Police officer attitudes in Tolleson compared to the rest of Phoenix is a huge difference. I stood for the Pro Bowl & Super Bowl festivities and went there by myself and was treated with the utmost respect by police officers FOR NO REASON. It was not alcohol related or anything but these guys are strictly thugs with badges. Glendale Police officers did nothing but made me feel worse than what I was. It definitely made my perception of Arizona as a really really racist place to visit but then even though I paid for my hotel in Tolleson I decided to just stay away from that area and explore what the rest of Phoenix and Scottsdale had to offer and my perception was immediately changed. So, my point is, if you are black and make good money legally dont get caught up near Glendale by yourself because the officers will try to get you for no reason. Trust me, I am the utmost square of squares, I dont have a criminal record or nothing and these guys tried to do just that. Sorry I had to write a review to let people of colour know. But the Stadium itself is awesome ! LOL. And I hear that the only reason why Arizona was that live was because of the Super Bowl. So glad I am not from there but thankful for the experience . Atleast in Brooklyn the Barclays Center was built in not the greatest area but the surrounding area is daily decent. Never go to that area by yourself.

University of Phoenix Stadium is an incredible venue...but they really botched the final 4, worst experience from a concession, bathroom, safety and security experience I have ever had. The security line for entering the stadium was horribly disorganized, waited over an hour and missed the tip off. Waited in the bathroom line for well over 45 minutes. You ran out of bottled water, food, merchandise and about anything you possibly could have. If the NCAA wants to hosts these events at incredible venues like this one they need to properly prepare for the next event. If you add 20k seats to a football stadium in the lower levels you need to properly accommodate the lower levels with additional restrooms. I would recommend not selling merchandise in the lower level (caused massive bottle necks) and properly prepare for the massive flood of people with more lines for people to enter the facility safely. You also wouldnt allow people to bring in basketballs that you sold both inside and outside of the stadium. I understand the protocol for this and preventing people from getting balls on the court but you need to educate the people selling the merchandise who did not know if you could bring it in the stadium....and use common sense, if you sell the same ball in the stadium people are educated enough to realize you have another purpose for not allowing them to bring balls in. Overall an incredible tournament, beautiful stadium and a really disappointing execution from NCAA the venue and the team.

Worst experience ever!! Be careful when seeing concerts at this venue. My fiance, sine friends of its and I just went and seen Guns N Roses, we spent $1900 on VIP tickets, however the treatment we received was anything but VIP. We took a bus with other people and arrived at the stadium around 8. We waited in the will call line for 40 minutes and were told we needed to go to a VIP tent on the other side of the arena, when we got there the tent was closed and they could not find or tickets. We were made to wait in the heat, had our situation laughed at by employees. When we asked for the name of the man who was tearing us terribly we were told by another woman that if we asked questions like that, that we wouldnt get into the show. Finally they were able to contact the proper people and after another 20 minutes of looking they finally found our tickets. We waited for an hour and a half with no apology, even when they found out tickets still no apology. We missed all of the opening acts and the first sing of GNR. They couldnt even take us to our seats so we could find them quicker and the last working at the searing area pointed us in the wrong direction so it took even longer. I would give zero stars if it was available. I am disgusted with how this stadiums staff conducted themselves and by how terribly we were treated. I will never recommend anyone to attend a function at this venue.

My 2nd experience here started out awful. Had tickets to see Cards play my Broncos on 9.1.16 and b/c I was late getting there after driving almost 3hrs there they would not let me in nor scan my tickets. My boyfriend got me tickets in the Ring of Honor section and wasnt allowed in. Before I knew they werent letting us in at all we just walked in with tickets in hand because nobody was working gates anymore and a security guy came and grabbed me, would not let me take 1 picture or watch 1 friggen play. I showed him my tickets, told him I wold stand, told him how we drove 3hrs, nothing. He shewed out the door by my back and told me if I wanted to keep my phone that I better not take a picture. Meanwhile BF was pissed and said NO, she will get the photo she wants and I did manage one before he got me out of the door. I was infuriated so I went to admin entrance and raised hell. They let me in, didnt scan my tickets, took pictures of us, sold me cotton candy after it closed and let me stay until we were the last ones in the field since we didnt watch ANY of the game. At least their managers tried to make it right. Stupid security needs to lighten up and pay attention to the folks that need it, not innocent fans like me just trying to see a game they paid to see!!
