We did an overnight adventure with wild caving and a underground river tour with a group of Boy Scouts. I felt like the "guides" rushed us along at every step of the way from arrival to final departure. Based on the inexperience of most of the guides, I was not comfortable that they could have handled any emergency that would arise during the wild caving portion of the tour, as there were people along who had some serious issues with confined spaces and had to turn back. The wild caving is physically strenuous, very tight and will certainly let discover if you have any issues with clostrophobia. The literature doesnt let you know just how confined the spaces are; plan on a 20 foot "crawl" through a rock passage about 3 feet tall on the wild caving tour just to get to the place where you can turn around. There were a couple of older guides who did a fantastic job, but unfortunately they were overshadowed by some immature, unprepared workers.

NO STARS--NO STARS-- BAD PLACE. We will never go there again. My 5 yr old fell out of the boat at the loading dock, there clearly should have been a rail either on the boat or at that spot that was open. Guide said it was open for when it floods. Had it not been for the fact my girls instincts forced her to swim toward the top and my mom grabbing her and not letting go, she would have went under that rock and only God knows if she would have survived. Guide said that had never happened and was a freak accident. old dirty scruffy man inside tried to make a joke out of it, saying the guides fall in all the time. They did give my money back but not one employee there checked to see if she was hurt or offer anything for the scrapes all over her.

The Blue spring caves are located in Bedford, IN. The cave tour is a 14$/person deal for 1 hour of cave guided tour. The highlight and the unique thing is that the tour is on a boat. Apart from that, I did not find anything spectacular on this tour. Though the tour guide made honest attempts to educate the visitors about the caves, there simply wasnt much to offer. We ended up seeing a bat and thats about it. A better bet will be Marengo caves or Mammoth caves which are much more informative and have a lot more to offer. In my honest opinion, if you have never been to caves and are just nearby Bedford with time to kill, you might want to go and visit here. Else, plan a visit to Marengo caves or Mammoth caves.

Reviewing after my second time here in a couple of years. Not much has changed in the time since my last visit. The tour guides I have had both times were great. The tour itself was a lot of fun (even on a second trip). I have been to a few different cave tours around the country and thought it was really neat to see a "young cave" which is still an active river. This is always a good option to show out of town visitors if you need to find something to do for a couple hours!

The guide was a 15 year old jack butt. He was very sure of himself. When my kids asked asked questions that he already stated he clearly had to call them out on it therefore making the tour more unenjoyable than it already was. The great part was the effect that he he made with slapping the seat cushion a.k.a. life preserver on the boat to make the echo sound even more than louder than his ever resonating than his orating voice. ugh! will never go back.

This was a great time for our family! It was nice and coolish during the summer heat, and the tour guide was extremely funny. Gift shop had a small, but nice, collection. We went in the afternoon and it was not very crowded. Only downside was the nature of the tour. You are at the mercy of chance, as your fellow occupants may impact your ride (positively or negatively), and youre stuck with them for about 45 min. Well worth the money!

Hidden away, fly below the radar kind of place, but the boat tour is great!! If you are in the area then give this place a try. But this is not somewhere you would want as a primary destination if you are more than 2 hours or so away. But also consider that there is a lot to do in the area. Check it out. Its a lot of fun!! OH and DO NO DO NO DO NOT touch the cave walls or ceiling on the boat ride!! Just dont do it folks!!

What a great little place off the beaten path (and for that matter, not on most maps). This is one of the nicest cave tours - by boat - that I have taken. 1/2 mile long tour is one of the longest in the country. Cave is very nice with blind crawdads and cave fish visible. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Quite an interesting place. I highly recommend taking the tour.

Was a fun filled and adventurous river cavern trip. 45 minutes to and fro guided canoe trip. It was 50 Fahrenheit inside cave, so it is advisable to wear jacket or sweater. Our guide was new appointed on the day, she was so enthusiastic and ridiculously funny at times. Gift shop had good collections.

This cave is worth the visit if youre in the area. However, if youve been to other show caves, there isnt much to see inside besides the river. All the employees were friendly but our tour guide seemed new, maybe in training still. She was fairly informative but most of her jokes werent that funny.

This place was so amazing. The staff there was ridiculously friendly and very knowledgeable. It costs $18 for one adult and the boat ride is an hour long and it is worth every penny. I would recommend this place to everyone and would gladly go there again.

I dont understand some of these negative comments! My family really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Will, was not only humorous, but very knowledgeable. He also was very patient with my 11 years olds million and one questions. Would highly recommend!

A great canoe trip through a dark cave. The cave was great, has a blind catfish and other fish and frogs. The young guide Sam was awesome, did his best to fulfill us with knowledge. Do not expect to see much of stalactite and stalagmite.

My wife and I had tour guides Sam and Dylan on todays first tour. These know their stuff about the cavern and have a great sense of humor. I recommend if you can choose your guide, choose them! Great caverns and guides!

We absolutely enjoyed everything about our visit. The tour was a small group and being on a boat through the cave meant not having to watch where I was walking- most enjoyable cave experience ever!
