Very cool looking place, with tons of space, alot of TVs, neat furnishings, very modern and fresh appearance. But Horrible customer service! If you have been waiting months for a film to come out, dont let these guys destroy your experience, and make you associate the movie with an unpleasant evening. Josh Alexander, the manager was rude and unforgiving to the fact that Caleb a server, lied to us about the prices of the beers which are not listed on the menu. Because they take your card information first, they can charge whatever makes them happy, and the manager wont even look at the receipt, or offer any solution. Even If you dont sign the slip they can charge you whatever they want anyways. They Ruined my movie which I did not finish, and the rest of my day at work. I tried to like the spot, but it turns out it is over produced and understaffed. I work in service 7 days a week 350 days a year, and I would never treat a customer as I was treated at this theater. I will tell all of my friends, family, and customers ( especially those who live across the street from the venue ) the story so that they can avoid ruining a movie experience that they may have been looking forward to. Many people in this community know me, and trust that what I say is true. Caleb is a liar, and will steal money from you by inflating your tab with fake pricing because the menu is incomplete. If they do steal your money you have to call the bank to have any resolution. Nobody at the Spot, including the young fresh managers has any power to refund your money, or actually effect any change in your situation. Call your financial institution.

Bowling was ok but not for the serious bowler .... they didnt offer any chalk or rags. The lanes were un even and not lubed but its cool for mostly non competitive college kids that dont really go to bowl but to use bowling as a social gathering. Drink were pricy but good and strong our surver never checked on us once in the two hours we bowled , we had to hunt him down for a drink order every time which took time out of our game ordering drinks , since they charge by the hour to bowl it was a loss ... Arcade games were double and triple the price of any other establishment. They charge 1.00 for simple cheep retro games like pac man and galiga that are 25cents any where else in the world and the skee ball totally ate our bills and gliched .we had to wait for 20 minutes to get a mechanic open the machines to return our bills . The place is good for a first date or random hang but i wouldnt make it a constant hang out stop when there are cheeper places to chill and have the same fun with pool ,bowling ,beer and arcades

BEWARE!!!! YOU MIGHT GET YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION STOLEN!! My husband and I came here for the first time last Saturday to watch a movie and just relax. Unfortunately we had our credit card information stolen. So after your done eating right before the movie ends the waiter or waitress will come collect ur card to pay and return it to u. Well I guess when they took it they either took a pic of our card or wrote the credit card number down because literally the next day they were using it for online purchases!! They shopped at Rue 21 and walmart. I mean this is RIDICULOUS and OUTRAGES ME!! We live here in San Marcos and just wanted to have a date night, relax, watch a good movie, but instead we get our information stolen and taken Completely advantage of. We have involved the cops and will be pressing charges!! We work hard for our money, not for some young punk to steal our info and go on a shopping spree!! That was our first and mostly likely LAST time going here....VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!

Well I would give it 4 stars, but it seems like the air conditioning is either broken or not on in the cinema side. Ive been a few times, the food is good, the staff is friendly, but it just seems to be working out all the kinks. All of my issues have been with the cinema side. Its always really warm or hot and refills there take a long time. A waiter even came into the theater and help a person in the row ahead of me. This wouldnt have been an issue if I havent had my help light on before them or they helped me at the same time. I know this because the service lights are extremely bright, also they didnt even notice me trying to wave them down when they came back to give that person their refill. Over all the cinema side is okay. UPDATE: Seems they have fixed the A/C issues and there are some better servers now. The only issue is they need to make sure the theater is clean and wiped down. So Im bumping it up to 4 stars

The service is terrible! I went at 11:25 am today to see a movie and I was never approached by a server to see if I wanted to order anything. People arrived after me two rows ahead and they were approached and had their orders taken. After the movie I asked to speak to the manager, when he arrived I explained my situation and he tried to make it seem like it was my fault I didnt get any service. He told me "I should have pressed the call button if I wanted to order something." He made no attempt to correct the error and only offered an insincere apology. I should not have to press the call button unless I needed a refill on my order (that was never taken.) It is the servers job to greet the patrons and take their orders, that is what they are paid for. I will never go to this place again. I hope the city will reconsider and build a Draft house in San Marcos.

Its so stupid that you can no longer just go to a movie. Now you have to go online and pick your seat and purchase your ticket before hand. Otherwise, the only seats available are the ones where youre going to get a neck cramp from looking straight up at the screen. So you cant spontaneously take your wife to a movie because all the seats already taken and the people that are going to be sitting there arent even there yet. Im sure Im not the only person that is seriously irritated by this. The old system of first come, first serve was more fair than this new thing movie theaters are doing. Now someone could buy a ticket, not even show up and theyre good empty seats that no one else can sit at.

The service was awful. They took our initial order. Brought us double the amount of drinks we ordered and never brought our popcorn. I pushed the call button to get our popcorn much later. Further into the movie, my mother in law wanted a soda refill, pushed the button, which remained on for 30 minutes and no one came to see what we needed. They stressed the whole free refill thing, but never come to actually give you the refill when you are ready for it. The place is beautiful and the seats are amazing, but the service needs a lot of work in my opinion. I hope they figure it out, because I would go here no matter the cost to watch a movie in comfort if they would step up their service.
