The only reason I didnt put it as 5 stars is because I think they could improve... theyre not the best yet. But as far as haunted houses in suburban areas go, this is the one to see! I will say that I was disappointed by the lack of a dance number/pre-show while I was waiting in line. Seems as though other reviewers got that experience and a few of my friends who checked in on Facebook got that experience as well. I got nothing. They DO have great actors/actresses around to "frighten" you. I would definitely recommend getting the 2 hauntings pass. That is, its $35/person and you get to go to both haunted houses. The first one is a mix. Its got the zombies, monsters, weird indian things, yelling, scary noises, etc, etc, etc... a lot of the typical scary stuff (no clowns!) This one is pretty awesome and the longest of the 2. The second one is a play on classics. Its really done well, and its a unique idea. Its a history of creatures starting with Dracula. Starts with a museum, and its all in black and white. Seriously, this was a really creative idea that I havent seen anywhere else before! The only downside is that this one is so short. Only took about 10 minutes to walk through. The other one was about 20. If they made this one the longer one, it would have been perfect! All in all? For 2 people it was $70. A bit pricey, but not horrible. For the effects used and the outstanding cast and makeup, Id say its worth the money. Give it a shot!

went last week on a Saturday with some friends. we got there around 6:50 (parking is free) we bought tickets at the door and stood in line till about 7:10. there were actors walking around entertaining people so that made time go by faster. once inside the building, there is another line to wait, but this time there is a stage and actors perform for you. it was very cool and professional. there is also camera footage of people already in the house and that made things even more entertaining. at 7:40 is was our turn to go, we were in a group making us 7 total. once inside I was scared immediately, there is a lot of cool props and the actors were VERY in character. it was very noisy and dark at times. the "maze" lasted about 15-20 minutes, which felt fine to me. after it was over, we got in line for the second house (we paid for both) we were in line for about 10 minutes here. this one was more "old school" with less props and more actual scaring done by the actors. they popped up more than once too and they would follow you. this one lasted about 10ish minutes. when it was through, we stepped outside and took pictures with a couple actors, we were completely out of there by 8:30. overall, I loved it. but my friend ended up paying $64 for both our tickets and for both houses. all I can say is make their prices just a tad cheaper and Ill be 10x more pleased :-) oh and bring a jacket bc its hella cold in there.

Went in 2013, so they may have changed it a bit in 2014. Its indoors, so weather isnt an issue. But, it gets hot from all the people moving around. Tickets are in the $20s/person. Expect to wait a good 30+ minutes if you get their early in the evening; more if you get there later. However, they have performers come out and entertain you on a stage while youre waiting. Theyre actually really good, as they do dance numbers, shows, etc. The haunted house itself was so-so. You move through a winding path, and you can see the areas youre coming from and going to as you look through the scenery. This means the same actors can move back-n-forth to maximize scaring folks. Thats good, but some of them just shambled around. Others knew how to come out of the dark to really scare you. I guess I wasnt really impressed at how you could see wide-open areas and realize youre just looping through a big warehouse. They had a side attraction of old black-n-white monsters. Gf and I tried that, too, and I wasnt impressed. It was very short, and low on scares. Being located in Plano, TX gives Dark Hour a big leg up for folks in N. Dallas area that dont want to travel hours to get to a haunted house. But, I feel theres better haunted houses in DFW if youre willing to travel.

This is the BEST haunted attraction I have ever been to. Looking at the website, they are very helpful and clear about what you should expect. Ive been twice and my experience was spectacular. Each time Ive been, I was never in line for more than a half hour. While in line I was delightfully entertained with short films, musical performances and live dancers - who were very talented. Upon entering the actors bring you in and narrate the story to help clarify the storyline you see throughout the attraction. They never broke character, were very interactive and scary indeed. The themes were very well thought out, the effects and props were phenomenal. The whole experience from start to finish is just riveting. The customer service is top notch and everyone is there to make sure you have a great time. I consider myself a haunted attraction connoisseur and this attraction is the absolute BEST. Dont miss it!

Dark Hour ranks high in production and atmosphere. This place is a permanent fixture that offers more than a haunted house throughout the year. If youre never been this one ranks really high on safety. Their set constructions and walkways are well designed. I always look at construction because there are so many injuries at poorly built haunted houses during Halloween season. This place is safe. The scares are high quality. Once youve done it once you can come back to see if theyve changed their theme. Once it was alien invasion then the next it was the rising of a mummy. The walk-through remained the same but the costumes, music, and theme changed which is fun. They also offer musical shows and a gift show. This is a good one to visit every year.

Definitely not worth wasting your time. Its 28$ a ticket and the walkthrough literally lasted only 20 minutes. The only thing they had going for them was the show before waking into to the haunt. That was very entertaining. But once in the attraction it was SUPER CROWDED. my scares were ruined by the people/group infront of us and behind us. I would rate it a 5 stars if the walkthrough lasted at least 40minutes and if they gave enough space in between groups. But they did have planty on actors inside the attraction. But overall i was dissatisfied. Sorry but it was a disappointment. Im sure you have many regular customers that loved it but i didnt. Just maybe space out a little more please. The effects and design were awesome inside though.

Been a few times to see if the scary factor changed. The sets are pretty good but this is not a scary haunted house. The rooms are so big you can see the person coming from a distance. No actual "jump scares". Alot of $$ just to walk through. I think if they actually put more effort into the actual "scaring" then looking cool it would be worth the $$. Any haunted house that groups you with other people regardless if you ask if you can go with just the group you came with is bad for business. Paying customers come first. I wont be back. I know of plenty haunted houses that let you do this REGARDLESS if its a busy night. If youre looking to get scared youre best to check out a different haunted house. Disappointed
