First time my wife and I were able to get out and see a proper movie in YEARS... literally.. Years. Kids suck your entire social life. Behold, both are now in school.. we decided we would go see Deadpool. We were both hyped up. Laughing our assess off. (The movie is ABSOLUTELY awesome. Seriously. Go see it.) Then the movie proceeded to go into a 1970s style bad acid trip. Stuttering, skipping, blurring.. omg it was a mess. Gave me a headache after 5 minutes. 10 minutes go by... 15 minutes go by.. finally I have enough.. I have to cross the ENTIRE theatre (we were at the end in theatre 1) cross the lobby, and say "hey, wtf!?" to which I get "Oh yeah, they told us about 10 minutes ago. Were looking at it now. 10 More minutes go by.. I look at my wife, shes pissed. Im pissed.. we arent laughing or having fun anymore. Its become a completely miserable experience. Its now been 35 total minutes of a 1hr 48 min movie... the entire middle was a mess.. The theatre goes dark for a second.. then comes back up... and they restarted the movies last 30 minutes. Remember the kids? Yeah.. they now got out of school before the movie even finished.. much less travel time home.. so we just left. 35 minutes to fix a mess that should have taken 5 minutes tops after the 1st complaint. During opening day no less.. We werent the only ones that left either. I wanted my money back, wife settled me down enough to accept free tickets to another movie at a later date. Maybe next year when we get the time and money to go out again.. sure. Oh... 1 other thing (concerning Deadpool) if the movie starts at 1230... dont bother showing up until 1255 unless you REALLY REALLY like previews.. I mean really like.. cause 1 - they were 30 MINUTES LONG!!! and 2 - They were for some REALLY god awful movies. The Star Wars premiere didnt even have this many previews. Good god it was a marathon. Taking a family of 4 here is more expensive than a car payment. This used to be THE BEST theater in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area before Regal took over and ruined it. It is no loner maintained properly. The carpet looks like it hasnt been cleaned in forever. Restrooms are not clean and maintained properly. They just cant seem to get the temperature comfortable. Its usually FREEZING COLD in the theaters; and it does no good to ask for them to turn the heat on. My chief complaint is the absolutely RIDICULOUSLY STUPID HIGH PRICES for concessions. Just like in any other business, if they would provide a fair product at a fair price theyd have loyal and true patrons and do much more steady "repeat customer" business. If they continue to take advantage of their customers and O V E R C H A R G E with the H I G H P R I C E S they will continue to lose customers. I know of families who used to go before Regal took over that now instead just find other things to do because of the high prices Regal charges. Save your money and wait for it to come out on Redbox and watch it at home for $1.07 and enjoy MUCH, MUCH, MUCH cheaper concessions.

Regal Cinemas are the only theaters in this region that you can go to without having to cross the river into Kentucky. They take advantage of this by charging $12 for a standard adult ticket. Theaters across the river in Louisville have $5 Tuesday tickets, student discounts, and a better customer rewards programs. The high price doesnt compensate for the minimal quality movie experience. You might as well watch a movie on your phone while getting peed on. Thats essentially how Regal delivers a movie experience. The movie was shown on one of their larger screens. The projector they used was for a screen half the size. It was a projector youd use if you lived in a trailer and used an old stained blanket for a screen. The picture was far too small to be seen by anyone who sat in the back. Im done with Regal. Ill stick with Carmike and Cinemark. Its a shame I have to drive an extra 10-15 miles just to get a decent movie experience. But I suppose it could be worse. The staff here are nice and helpful. The theatre is very clean for its age and restrooms are okay, but in need of renovations. However I can only give the cinema 2 stars because of the horrible sound/picture quality. Sound is terrible here - like the free mono earbuds on a cheap airline flight, turned up to full blast so that it hurts your ears and you hear mostly distortion. (The speakers in front/behind the screen are turned up much louder than the surround speakers, and there is often distortion.) As for picture, the cinema has one or two larger screens, but about 12 of the 16 screens are the size of the village 8 with similar picture quality. Given the 12.50 admission price, I would expect it to compete with the River Falls Location but it does not. I recommend the River Falls Cinema location, or a theatre on the Louisville side.

its aa great place I visit it a lot, to people complaining about prices you can thank the ppl who go in with a camera and put the movie online, also myers is right next door and not ocne have I ever seen them check a bag. Use your head before you compline and about the restrooms after working fast food for 1.5 years I can tell u the second u go in and mop some ass hat will piss all over the floor.(sorry for rant I read the other reviews) but all in all good place, made even better by the add your own butter station now u can get it just the way u want it w/o having some new guy adding 2 drops or 2.8 gallons.

I typically do not see movies here, but not due to the staff or the cleanliness, they are great. The movie presentations are usually flawed in some way everytime. Either the image is not filling the screen or its shooting onto the masking/curtains or the sound system is malfunctioning due to faulty equipment. In their biggest theater the surround speakers didnt work for months. I dont blame the staff I blame the corporation for there apparent modo of "can you see it, can you hear it?" Then there isnt a problem. Going to the movies is very expensive and you should get your moneys worth.

First and last time here. Audio was totally botched on movie. Couldnt understand a thing. Three of us complained on four separate occasions and nothing was done. Was even told to wait by staff while he sold tickets to others when I came out to complain a second time. After 30 minutes, finally left and demanded refund. No apologies from staff. No attempt to make it right. Cant believe they have the nerve to charge $12+ a pop with staff and equipment that bad. Price is a third of that at Village 8 and I have never seen technical difficulties or indifferent staff.
