I went as a parent volunteer for my sons kindergarten field trip and it was great! The tour guides were very friendly and patient with the kids. They are very charismatic in the way they educate the children. They had a whole program planned out, we had an arts and craft part, a feel and learn time with different insects, the children were able to see insect parts through a microscope, we had a mild very child amicable hike where we saw frogs and differwnt animal prints. We were able to have lunch there, the facilities were very clean. Our guides were Sammy and Louis they are exceptional!

We usually take hikes around the river bottom here. On Saturdays the nature center is open. Live snakes, birds, lizards and insects. Some of which the kids can touch. Cute outdoor area with a fort, musical instruments and other activities. Camps available during the summer.

I love this place., because it is very peaceful out there. ll have to take some stars away though if the City of Riverside succeeds in its plan to install high-voltage transmission lines in the area. I will take two stars away from the Nature Center if that happens.

Spent a lazy Saturday here. Staff was friendly and good with the kids. The frog pond was full of tadpoles and tiny frogs; I had to tear the kids away.
