The focus of this museum is on art from Spain. Visitors are treated to works of art throughout the history of Spain, from the Middle Ages to the present. The museum isnt enormous, but the works of art which are present are some of the finest that the world possesses. There are two primary galleries and both of these are on the second floor. In each of these galleries, there is a mixture of works of art throughout Spanish history. This is a bit odd; I would think one gallery should focus on older art while the other focus on contemporary art. So to me, the chronology doesnt make sense. But having said that, the overall experience is transcendent. HIGHLY recommended.

Yes, I indeed went to this fine museum with a woman named Tammy Mangum in 1995. I had driven from Ruston to Shreveport to meet her for this our first date. Now, the museum has/had a very large beautiful painting of Jesus looking up into the heavens, surrounded by a few children. Jesus appeared to be feeling a great deal of pain and hope. Amen.

Old man security guard followed me through the entire museum and kept lingering around me so it was hard to concentrate or focus on the art. There were a few groups of other visitors scattered throughout but he paid little attention to them and consistently kept following and staring at me. It was very creepy and I never want to go back.

This is a very nice museum in Dallas within walking distance from the George W Bush Presidential Library. It hosts the largest collection of Spanish art outside of Spain. Really nice and peaceful museum covering 2000 years of Spanish art. I really recommend it.

The very best museum in the US for Spanish art. It is big enough to have many spectacular pieces, but small enough to not feel overwhelmed. The staff is knowledge and incredibly helpful. Their special exhibits are some of the best in the US.

Fabulous collection of Spanish paintings and a treat to anyone who loves art. The staff were so nice, polite and helpful. Definitely a place to be visited whilst in Dallas. I spent a couple of hours and it was an unforgettable experience.

Meadows Museum boasts an extensive collection of Spanish art spanning centuries of master works. The museum is smaller than expected and consequently very manageable. Free to students, it is a great resource for the community.

It was a pretty nice experience. Lot of beautiful Christian related Spanish art. One exhibit we were not allowed to take pictures and that was where they held the most beautiful art was housed.

Fantastic art museum on SMUs campus. They have a wonderful collection of Spanish artists and even a few Picasso sketches when we were there.
