Booked it for a wedding without realizing children under 8 are not welcomed guests. Multiple emails were sent by the bride and myself asking for clarification with no response. As the mom of the bride I was asked to contact the Inn by telephone to see if we could get an answer about family traveling from out of state with a 2 and 4 year old. The person I spoke to on the phone admitted receiving the email about a week or two ago "and spacing on it". After sharing their many bad experiences with young children being left unattended in rooms, ruining carpet and putting mascara on the walls I was told it was with "extreme reservations" that they would allow the children to stay. The representative, who I believe is one of the owners, was far more concerned with expressing her past bad experiences than she was making sure the bride and groom had the best experience possible. There was no mention on the age restriction of guests during the walk through/tour given to the bride and groom. The brides family will not be staying at the Scappoose Creek Inn, we will spend our money at a venue that appreciates our business. Also, I made a reservation at the Inn for the wedding day the same day the deposit for the venue was paid which was cancelled the next day without an explanation even though the room booked was available at the time. Bad, bad customer service, total lack of communication.

I will start off saying that I have attended numerous weddings at this faciliy and a couple that I was very closely involved. The setting and lawn is nice. Could be much better as far as the land scape. and cleanlyness. The owners/managers/bar tenders can be rude. At all the weddings I have attendend there (4) The have helped themselves to the food that is provided for the guests. To me they are hired help mandatory when you pay to rent there facility that they serve the alchohol ( totally understand the liquior license issue) But to eat someone elses food they paid for and then treat your paying customers rudely they need some edicate lessons. They refuse to let you in the facility early to decorate unless you pay for that extra time even though nothing else is booked at that time. They rent by the hour so if you do have a occasion there be sure to wear your running shoes youll need them. Not to mention the Dog poop right outside the main entrance! (really) I will not recommend this place again for anyones special day.

My wife and I stayed here for one night I wish it could have been more. Scappoose Creek Inn was very easy to find. Just a few minutes away from the main part of town. The room we stayed in was so cozy and comfortable. It feels like home. The owners treat you like a friend or family member. They are extremely nice and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. We are definitely going to stay again sometime soon. Thank you Sherry and Jeri.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying here twice this summer. What a cozy place to stay. Close to the city but far enough away. VERY pet friendly and they go out of their way to make our dogs feel at home as well, from a cozy dog bed to a water bowel and lots safe places to walk the dogs on grass. Would I stay again? Absolutely, I am looking forward to it. The one bad thing is leaving, its like saying goodbye to friends you stayed with.

Unique- Authentic - Real! Let me say that for anyone coming into the area this is a Great Place to land. Each room is cozy and quaint and made up exactly like what you would want if you stepped back in time. Great Food! Great setting. Hiking, fishing, dining, and only 30 minutes to Portland. This place is special- very very fun! And look at these prices. WOW! Great place to weddings and meetings too.

This place discriminates against young children. The woman told me "We are not equipped for children under age 8." I asked why that was, to which she replied "we dont have any highchairs." Maybe she doesnt realize that most hotels dont have highchairs or that children dont actually need highchairs up to age 8. Either way, discriminating against children is illegal.

This is where me and my husband got married, it was a BEAUTIFUL setting, definitely loved it. The staff was very helpful up until the day of the wedding, they were very short with me and my bridal party. I had complaints from my bridal party and family about how they were treated. I would recommend this place though based on the beauty and price!

We havent finished our stay yet, but we are attending a wedding and so far the accommodation are great. The bed is a little hard and there is a strange smell that seems to linger, not horrible or foul , just not super pleasant... overall I would stay again given the opportunity.

I went to Scappoose Creek Inn for a wedding. I did not stay the night, I only went in the barn and walked around the grounds. They have very cute chickens and nice grounds. They are located next to an excavator company and a compost place, but they are hidden and dont detract.

I always stay here when passing through. The rooms are clean and the place is always quiet and beautiful. The breakfast is to die for, the service is always completely wonderful. I simply love this inn and owners as well.

Beautiful country atmosphere, other then the airport across the street. Went there to attend a wedding, grass lawn was well maintained and the barn housed an amazing reception.
