So exciting to find out during our visit was All-Comers night at Hayward Field. My husband and sons were able to take part and run on the track. All three are runners and have done cross country in high school. The organizers were very helpful and got them signed up quickly. It was a blast to watch them run on the Oregon Track and got some fabulous photos. Definitely worth stopping by.

History of coaches Bill Hayward & Bill Bower man, co-founder of Nike and Track town USA, brought many champions to Eugene, popularized jogging, and so much more. My uncle Bud Bassett took me there to see The early sub-4 minute miles, and my father later worked at Hayward field. Home of honorable champions.

As a huge track and field fan, it was amazing to watch the Olympic Trials at this awesome venue. The history of the track and time-honored grandstands almost make me sad that the whole stadium will soon be completed renovated for the upcoming World Championships.

As a runner, I can think of no ground more sacred to our sport than Hayward Field. Truly a great place to watch a meet and even when its empty and youre standing out on the track, you can still feel the energy and that Hayward magic.
