My husband and I got married at Events on 6th almost a month ago and were so pleased with our experience working with the staff. We had found the venue while searching for secular event spaces in Tacoma that could accommodate the ceremony and reception with a guest list of approximately 150 people. Events on 6th was one of the first places that responded to my request for a walk through, and their responsiveness, honest answers to our questions, and thoughtfulness won us over: not to mention the gorgeous venue! The sanctuary has been beautifully restored, with wooden pews and floors, stained glass, and a working organ. The decor in the lobby, brides suite, and "man cave" in the newer wing is lovely as well. The reception space is simple and clean, like a blank canvas for you to make the reception feel like "you." Events on 6th has tables on hand for the reception, leaving one less thing for us to have to think about renting for the day. With our summer wedding, everyone loved having access to the courtyard area as a place to cool off and chat. We had the pleasure of working with Events on 6th during the transition between Laura and Beth, and we never felt like there was a gap in service during it. Both answered questions and gave honest feedback based on their experience with other weddings held at the venue, and made themselves available for walk-thrus. Our wedding weekend was such a blur to me, but I dont remember there being any problems. This is truly a sign of how wonderful the staff at Events on 6th is: they made sure things were as we had discussed, directed the other vendors to where they needed to be, answered questions, and helped kept things on track. My husband, our families, and our wedding party all have warm memories of how much fun we had at our wedding. The venue and staff at Events on 6th definitely made that happen!

My experience with Events on 6th was fantastic! I recently got married there and it was everything I hoped for. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and I loved being able to have the ceremony and reception in the same location. Both the sanctuary and reception area were perfect for our wedding. The set up for catering and bar service worked great. There were storage areas for photography equipment and other things that needed to be hidden away. There was plenty of parking for everyone in the residential area surrounding the church. I was worried about having enough parking so I rented the parking lot next door to Events on 6th and that was very inexpensive (~40 for 35 spaces), but there really was plenty of good parking in the residential area. The staff was very professional and helpful. I was given many helpful contacts for other vendors and information to put together the whole event. On the day of the wedding, they thought of every detail to help the wedding run smooth. The groomsmen all had a great time hanging out in the courtyard and the grooms den before the wedding. My bridesmaids and I had a lovely time hanging out and getting ready in the bridal suite, and it make a beautiful setting for our "getting ready" photos. The one improvement I would have suggested was air conditioner in the bridal suite especially in the summer, but I hear they already have installed air conditioner in the bridal suite to make it more comfortable getting ready. I could not have been happier with the venue. I hope to have other events there as well; it makes a great party space!

Nope. Not married yet, but I stopped by on the day of the Street Fair where they had an open house for anyone to come and look around. So I scheduled another tour & Im looking forward to it. In my previous tour, so far so good. The exterior look of the chapel, especially the inside. If it werent for the amount of guests Im having, I would pick this to be my ceremony venue. Who knows if the list cuts down. Anyhow, I would reccomend this location to any of my family & friends. The feel, look, and the spontaneous representatives/workers. Theyre welcoming, present you with a smile, & provide you specific details.

Our family recently held a wedding at Events on 6th! We loved the vintage look of the events center with the separate church and reception areas. The church felt like home; somewhere you might have gone growing up. The beautiful wood and stained glass are a perfect backdrop to the wedding ceremony. Walk down the hall to the large, well-laid out reception hall with its exposed ceilings and its time to party!!! The staff; Beth & her assistant were great in making sure the guests and the family were well-taken care of throughout the day. Your expectations will be exceeded!

What a wonderful place to have a wedding! Such a pretty interior and exterior. Easy to decorate because its already so beautiful inside. It was nice having the chairs and tables on site and ready to go. Beth, the events coordinator, was such a joy to work with and was very helpful. The only downside was it would have been nice to decorate the night before or earlier in the day, but overall a wonderful experience.
