I have been to this bowling alley several times as a youth & have had a good experience except for my visit tonight. The elderly man at the front counter was completely RUDE as hell to each person in our party. We arrived 10 mins before open bowling & not many people were there yet, lanes were still empty, & no music had been turned on either as to cause any confusion in our conversation.. We had 4+ people joining our lane & asked to switch to a lane further down from the front door & he stared at me a second then said "No". When I asked why? he replies "What?" again I say Why? He replies again "What?" so once more I say WHY? But at this point I am bothered. And he says "Why, is because I put groups at the end lanes." (Mind you, we were a 4+ party) Again he just stares at me.. I said forget it but I will never EVER spend my money here again when I know some other very pleasant bowling alleys closer to home. Yorktown needs to find a person that thrives in customer service because if this is how you want the front line of your business to be represented then I hope this place fails in the future!!!!! I am so deeply irritated by this entire experience including the things I didnt write about I wish there was an owner or someone I can write too about the poor treatment of their customers. End Rant.

The bowling aspect is fine, food decent for a bowling alley and bartender we dealt with was nice and quick. BUT old guy behind the counter when you come in is BEYOND rude and disrespectful for no reason at all. He really brings this place down and absolutely deserves to be fired for his horrendous customer service. I have never had an experience this bad in my life, which is why I had to write this review. I also want to mention this was the second time I have dealt with him and he was HORRIBLE each time....so he was not having just a bad day. I really hope he gets fired because its a joke he still has a job dealing with the public.

The league we bowl is very disappointing. The people are not very friendly. I will give up bowling before I bowl this league again. The lanes stink, the oil is terrible. The people who work the snackbar are rude and the food is never done. Matter of fact one after working a long day I rushed to bowling. I was starved so ordered a burger. It was so raw just the outside of the burger was cooked. The inside was so raw it looked like the meat was just taken out of the package. They serve fresh cut fries that are always never cooked enough and hard. I take food for my grandson from home. I am greatful this league is almost over.

Some advice for Yorktown Lanes: The best way to lose business is to put a crabby old man at your front counter! He seriously could not be anymore unpleasant. I understand that working at a bowling alley might not be the most exciting job in the world but I expect at least common courtesy when I enter a place that I am about to give business too! Always have had good service in the bar, seems pretty clean and overall, I enjoy the times I have been there. The old man with absolutely no social skills is truthfully a horrible addition to your team and youd be better off without him!

Walk in and the old guy looks like hed rather be anywhere else. The bartender was out of sight. Some guy was in the kitchen on his phone. Both didnt care that i was at bar staring into the kitchen. Finally bartender arrived and asked what Id like. I said someone not on their phone. She explained he wasnt allowed behind the bar. Funny he didnt alert her i was there. He promptly came behind bar though once ahe was there. Whole experience was bs. Other alleys are much more friendly and welcoming of you spending money in their establishment.

Unfortunately, my group and I did not have a pleasurable experience at Yorktown Lanes. The lady working at the counter showed much annoyance and was disrespectful towards my group and I did not appreciate it at all. I chose Yorktown Lanes over Freeway Lanes of Parma nearby due to its cheap cost, but I have learned my lesson through my experience that I will much rather prefer a bowling alley that might cost a bit more, but have a pleasant experience when Im there.

Lady at the front desk is rude for no reason. I truly believe that shes racist. Ive been in customer service long enough to know that when a white person puts money on the counter instead of putting it in my hands its out of racism and because they think "black people are dirty". Especially because after she gave me my money on the counter she gave several other white people their change in their hands. Never coming here again.

The old man, Paul, was very rude and disrespectful. He refused to put the bumpers up for my children claiming they were too old at age 7. Customer service is the last thing on Yorktowns agenda. Horrible place and I will never go here again. Jeremiah Sutton the man at the concession was very pleasant tho and very understanding.

The flickering sign and outdated venue makes it feel run down and old. The staff wasnt as friendly as expected but they werent necessarily rude. The balls were chipped and very very old. Some of them didnt roll right. The bowling was still fun nonetheless but this place needs a major makeover and younger more friendly staff

Very disappointed in this bowling ally, the staff here was not helpful at all when we needed help at our lane, and the sad part was that when I asked the question, the question was not asked at disrepectful way at all. The bar and staff where very friendly and helpful, and the drinks where on point, (YOU GUYS ROCK!!).

I wish there was a 0 star rating !! We paid for all night bowling and got our lanes shut off a whole hour before they closed and they tried to say that we paid for 3 games 80 $ down the drain bowled for a hour staff was really rude for no reason way better places to go bowling with friends or your family !!!

Its a nice place to visit but we didnt receive good service.. I was bypassed by the older lady cook!! She took the lady behind me and didnt want to serve us as she did everyone else!! We will never return to this establishment!! Semi racist....

Service was excellent. Had a good time. Got to begin hourly rates a little early. That saved me about 15 bucks. Facilities are dated as with most bowling alleys. Friendly staff. No reason not to give them a thumbs up.

We went there meeting some friends. We didnt bowl. Just looking to hang out with friends while the bowled and we drank. They kicked us out. I would have ordered multiple pitchers but they are greedy.

This is a great family place!!! The staff is nice and friendly helped out the kids all the time. The Tuesday night mix league is a fun night out. Best place to bowl ever!!!!!!

Surprisingly a great place to see good local bands of all genres! Owners of Inferno Lounge bar, inside the bowling alley, are music people and its a fun scene. Check it out.
