It seems like every time we went here there are ALWAYS loud mouthed middle schoolers who ALWAYS talk during the movie. Most of the time these same kids sneak into an R rated movie because security is so bad there. They talk/laugh loudly or have their phones out with their screen so bright - its distracting and even take pictures with the flash on. Most of the time theyre not even watching the movie, they just lounge there & chat. Not even telling someone from management helps. They stand at the lower floor and just look. Of course they shut their mouths when they see someone. The person leaves & they go back to blabbing. I took matters into my own hands & I told them to keep it down. Instead of apologizing. These disrespectful brats told me to mind my business & asked me to fight her. Im too old to deal with trashy kids like that. These were the disappointing generation of kids similar to Danielle Bregoli. Their parents did not raise them well. I WILL NOT be returning. Because management ending up taking their side. You also get the occasional moms bring their crying babies and kids to a PG 13 & rated R movie every now and then too. Sometimes they leave to attend the baby other times they let their kids cry. I can go on and on about how bad this place is. Trust me, over priced food is the least of your worries. There are much better movie theaters out of town. Everything in Sanford is absolute garbage.

I have been coming to this theater since it opened due to the fact that it is the closest theater to my house and is convenient for me. I am a frequent customer. I would say that I attend a movie a week on average. Over the years the prices have risen steadily while the experience has remained the same. For example, there used to be two matinee priced shows daily while now there is only one. I would also warn everyone who sees this ad on google, that there are no recliner seats in any of the theaters where I have been seated. I would agree with one of the previous reviewers that the evening shows are sometimes difficult to be a part of due to the constant talking and phone usage from some of the customers. I know that this can be difficult for staff to deal with, but I would expect this issue to be handled considering the cost of going to a show. The staff is typically courteous and helpful, especially during daytime hours when I usually attend. I would love to see a frequent customer program be implemented if at all possible.

Ehh its not to shabby. The typical over priced concessions at least theirs seemed above most. The tickets are higher priced too than carmikes. Their early bargain priced tickets are 1.50 more than normal. I think they take full advantage of the fact theres no other theater in 30 mile radius so there really isnt anyone for them to compete with. The digital movie was 4k and was good up to date quality however nothing plays on the screen till the movie actually starts with the previews and ours didnt start till 6 minutes past the start time after i personally got up and asked them to see why. The theater we sat in was 3 and it had an old musty smell, half the lights worked and the seats were stiff and anatomically uncomfortable to sit in. I left happy that the movie was good but it wasnt a very comfortable experience. Wasnt happy about the prices either

Whenever I walk through the outdated class door of frank theaters is I feel and intense glare peering right into my very soul. Whenever I go to meet the cashier they always are very rude to me and stare like a bigot stared at an African American in the 1940s. The popcorn they give me always has crumbs in it and occasionally I find hairs. I try and make conversation with he managers but alas it always tend to be in vain, because they give me a callous remark that cuts so deep as if they just slashed into my jugular. The ticket booth people always give me a shoulder so could that it would make a blizzard in Antarctica during the ice age shiver. This has happened to me repeatedly and I am sick of it I have decided to never go back to Frank theaters for the rest of my life even if it means I have to take the thirty minute drive up to Cary.

I do not know what the other reviewer is talking about. My husband and I go to Spring Lane Cinemas for all our movie watching. The place is like new, kept in nearly pristine condition. Carpeting everywhere (except restrooms). The stadium seating is very comfortable and the restrooms are as clean as any I have been in. The concession stand offers the usual fair plus soft pretzels, nachos and hot dogs. They have a really nice colorful and clean party room for kids birthdays. They have a few theaters that are capable of 3-D. Some of the theaters are smaller than the others, but they all seem to be well planned and can hold as many as come to a showing. We honestly do not like to going to any other theater. To the other reviewer - you sure you have the right cinema? You are from Charlotte, this one is in Sanford.

So this fool below my review apparently wants her credit card information just chilling at some movie theater until it could be entered? You do know that simply writing credit card receipts does not in fact debit your account? Probably not, because it seems youve never worked a day in your life. I was there as a customer this weekend, and the staff were very helpful. Sure it might have been inconvenient to use cash only, but the theater shares a parking lot with two banks, and I highly doubt it was as inconvenient for me as it was for the employees. Id also like to point out that this happened during Star Wars weekend, and I appreciate the theaters service. I still managed to get to my movie on time and it was a great experience.

Took my kids to see a movie. They sold me 3 tickets to that particular screening and another to another movie. I guess they put the wrong ticket on top. Staff looked at ticket and sent us to see the WRONG movie. Mind you there was no title at the door. After speaking with the manager, he refunded our money and gave us tickets that dont expire. Great right? Nope because now the movie I ORIGINALLY took my kids to see is now only available 45 MINUTES AWAY!!!! I HATE that theres only one theater in Sanford--Frank Theater with over priced stale popcorn and drinks. Uggggh.

This theater is beyond ridiculous. Their software crashed the day of Star Wars and they are too incompetent to know how to handwriting credit card receipts, so it was cash only. They ban people from bringing in outside food and beverages, and then are unable to accept cards - cash only. Excuse me but the inconvenience is beyond egregious. They should have offered free drinks and beverages to the massive crowd they failed to service. Thank God for Fandango or Id be stuck trying to find an ATM.

Before moving here we used to go to movies on a regular basis. We have been going to Carmike theatres in Fayetteville. Stopped going because it was not a good experience--theatre too cold, too dirty, stale popcorn, etc. We decided to try Spring Lane Cinema in Sanford--awesome. Clean, comfy seats, good popcorn, good temp control in the theatre and friendly staff. We will be going back to Spring Lane--forget Fayetteville Theatres!
