My friends and I, hosted a surprise birthday here in the bowling area. We ordered food and waited on a lane to become available. Once one did, we were moved over to the lane, but (1) they started the clock before we had fully transitioned. (2) I personally did not like their selection of bowling balls and felt that the variety (combination between weight and size of the holes for the fingers) was less than your typical bowling alley. Some of the people in our group who were not bowling had to leave early, but they had to (3) wait 15+ min for our waiter to return. The area isnt that large, but our waiter had disappeared from view. When the bill came out for our food, specifically mine, we were automatically charged 18% gratuity for the size of the group. (4) But my receipt showed that for the cost of my meal ($26.00), my 18% gratuity was $19.44. o_O We brought this to the attention of the waiter and it was eventually corrected. When the new receipt came out ($32.70), we split the payment 3-ways, at roughly $11. I submitted $11 cash, while the other two individuals submitted their cards. (5) When the signing receipt came back, the bill had been split 2-ways with the waiter taking the $11 on top of the automatic 18% gratuity. When correcting this second mistake, (6) the waiter got an attitude and snapped that we hadnt told her that the $11 was to be applied to the bill. I asked her if she thought that the cash was an additional tip, to which she responded we didnt tell her it was for the bill. (Common sense isnt so common and I dont believe they had any intention in correcting the first gratuity mistake or the second one if we hadnt brought it to their attention.) A second waiter, who was gracious and easier to work with, had to fix this mistake. Next, because of all of our waiting and receipt issues within the group, a second individual asked twice if we could have additional time to finish our game because we had only made it to the 7th of 10 frames. (7) They said that theyd give us additional time, but instead the clock ran out. Then we had to go a third time to make the request, along with asking for the manager at this point. We were given an additional 19 min, but they restarted our board, losing all of our scores. When the manager came out to talk to us, a rep from our group explained all of the issues we had with his staff, etc. that day. (8) (Sidenote: Our problematic waiter stood there, walking back and forth, in a threatening manner at times while we spoke to the manager.) He promised to give the group free bowling passes and provide our friends who were celebrating their birthday a small token. (9) He brought out a dessert for them to share and only two bowling passes for our group of 7. Needless to say this was the first time for all of us, but we wont be returning, with or without bowling passes.

If you are planning to host a party at this place, READ THIS FIRST! Im holding kids birthday tomorrow and I can tell you that the individuals Im dealing with are completely dishonest people. The place may be nice, but the way they run the business would remind you of used car salesmen! The person you deal with before you sign contract may promise things, even in writing, but you then end up dealing with someone else. The person who lead you to believe youre getting good deal, is no longer talking to you, so second person can deny everything! Case in point, our entire group is going to be vegetarian, and we were in their ultimate package which offers two food items to choose from. Pizza is the only vegetarian option here! (Yeah, they run the business in Cary, but they havent caught on to demography yet!) So I ask if they could substitute any of the other items with another vegetarian option, and they refused! So then I asked if I could choose Pizza as a second option, and the response I received was this: "Yes of course – we can do veggie pizzas for you – just let me know how you would like them and I will see what I can do." Im all excited thinking, wow this would be perfect for our vegetarian guests. Guess what happened after I paid deposit? The fact that they would let me choose pizza option, only meant they would turn around and tell me that for Ultimate package, they only give 3 pizzas between 25 guests! That is less than a slice per guest at 8 slices per pizza! Of course, then they would cut pizzas in tens, so they claim it would be more than enough! By the way, their premium package offers one pizza per 4 guests, but they wont list number of pizzas they give you for ultimate package, for which you pay $5.00 more. They would say you get one more food item, but what they DONT tell you is that they cut down number of pizzas you get by half! Oh, and that "of course we can do Veggie pizza" meant they would give you one veggie topping! When I asked this lady what it mean when her colleague said they would do "Veggie Pizza", she had audacity to tell me it meant they would give me a pizza with one veggie topping! Yeah, you know how those slizzy car salesmen tell you something one day, then turnaround and explain what it really meant! EXACTLY. So, if you still decide to hold an event at this place, my advice would be to dont assume anything except that anything they tell you may have a different meaning than what a reasonable person would think. i.e. They would lie and make you feel like youre too stupid to not understand that a pizza with one topping is called a veggie pizza! Ask questions, get every detail in writing, and still pray they dont screw you over after they get your money!

Bowling Review Short: Great bowling facility but incompetent staff and business practices result in a solid 2 stars. A well behaved family of 8 paying customers were kicked off of their lanes for no good reason at 2pm on a Thursday. Go elsewhere where your business and money are appreciated. Long: Everything started out great and its a superb bowling facility that caters well to kids and who can complain about food delivery to the lanes. We were having such a good time bowling that we decided to extend for another hour so we went to the front desk to inquire about methods to extend our time. The lady behind the desk informed us that all we needed to do was return and extend once our time ran out. Cool, super easy. However, when we returned 30 minutes later to extend we were told that a wait list had developed and we were getting kicked off of our lane. What?! The incompetent lady behind the desk then pointed to the "fine print" along the bottom of the pricing billboard stating that you can not extend lane time if there is a wait list. Ok, I get it, you want to be fair and give all a chance to play but this was 2pm on a Thursday so the place was not packed at all. I asked why we couldnt have gotten on the wait list 30 minutes prior and she stated that "You didnt ask". The issue is that they had a family of 8 paying customers on two lanes. We were also happily indulging in the slightly over priced food and drinks while playing. The price can be ignored because you are paying for the environment and it is delivered to your seat. So because of the wait list we were kicked off of our lanes even though we had previously inquired about extending. We spoke with multiple managers who stuck with their guns. We quickly realized that things were not changing and politely turned in our shoes. I say politely because we had our kids with us and we are not much for making a scene. Plus, its never a good idea to battle ignorance with more ignorance. These people obviously did not want our money and, at this point, we were happy to stop providing. As we were leaving the two lanes besides us opened up and the manager informed us that we could continue bowling there if we wanted. Ha!
